View 3 RepliesAttached is the most up to date battery stats analysis Ive been running since I bought the phone new on 11/10/14.
So far over the life of my phone my average usage is:
By 27% battery left
- 2.23 days on battery
SCREEN
- 4.14 hours of screen on time
- Screen 30% of battery usage
CELL STBY
- Cell Standby 1.61 days
- Cell Standby 24% of battery usage
- Time without signal 3%
VOICE CALLS
- Voice Call Time 40 minutes
- Voice Call 8% of battery usage
on the main page if you scroll to the right at the top youll see some simple crunching to compare how many charges less my turbo is getting compared to my old android phones (droid x and gnex) where I charged them every night. I charged them every night because I had too, likewise I only charge the turbo when it needs it. I am open to hearing others opinions on what % its best to charge at but as I know and you should too it is very much debated. There are many surces claiming what is best as for charging habits. i am testing based on charging my phone to 100% once it hits around 25-30% and ever 30 charges I run it down to 7-10% to 100.
Since I installed the 5.1 update, I've noticed in the stock battery stats that wifi displays as always on, with a solid green line across the screen, even when wifi is off AND disconnected from any wifi signal. I don't seem to have a drain on the battery as a result, but I don't have a clue why it would show up like this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Motorola Droid is a battery eater. I expected this when the phone was on, but it also is when powered off (I mean POWERED OFF by holding the power key and selecting Power Off, not just put in Standby or Airplane Mode). I turned it off with a fully charged battery and put it away for the night. Eight hours later, I turned it on and the battery was at 60%. The only way I can prevent this from happening is by removing the battery. The battery use indicator doesn't help much.
I was wondering whether this is a known Droid problem. I got the phone used from Verizon Wireless after I lost my other phone, which was an HTC Eris. The Eris ate battery when on but not when shut down. If this problem is specific to my phone I need to talk to Verizon about it.
Since acquiring a G4 recently I've noticed something weird going on with the phone's battery stats report. For some reason the Phone App is always listed as the highest battery consumer, even in circumstances when the screen should definitely be at the top with upwards of 4 hours of SOT.
Here's a shot from today after being off a full charge for about 15 hours and 1.5 hours of SOT (a good chuck of this was overnight idle).
This is happening on every full recharge even after rebooting and full charging in an off state.
However, the GSam report looks much more normal and closer to what I would expect to see
Just wondering where blink feed is in everyone's battery stats? For me it always seems to be really high up, currently second on list after chrome having used 8% and I'm down to 30%. I know blink feed is the whole launcher but just surprised its so high as don't think I ever even saw Google now launcher mentioned on my nexus 5.
View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently i noticed that the battery percentage is showing incorrectly. After first restart the battery percentage is much lower, and after second and next restarts it is randomly higher or lower than it should. After sending phone to the service to reintall software the problem didn't stop. What's the problem ?

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter several months of going thru various LG, Nokia and Htc phones, I couldnt pull the trigger on who I was going to give my next 2 years to. And if any of you have been with Verizon for a while you guys know how we cherished that NE2 (new every 2 yrs and 100 dollars towards it)....lol. With Verizon pushing the Blackberry and tons of dumbphones (2009) I even considered changing carriers. So after months of media hype I decided to wait before the change. In Dec of 2009 I got a OG Droid. Awesome phone which my daughter uses now. In Dec 2010 I got a Droid X and in Dec 2011 I got a Moto Xoom wifi. I chose the Xoom this year instead of a phone because I honestly feel that the DX2 and the Bionic shouldve been 1 phone instead of 2 phones tryning to fill gaps till the Razor came out.....thats another story for another time......To sum it all up: The OG droid will always be one of the phones that changed the market! The first android phone that was released to Verizon's Captive Audience with only blackberrys and dumbphones to choose from.....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've only had my Z3 a week, first expensive phone I've bought outright but I've noticed the battery draining quickly in standby, when I look in the battery stats it say's my phone is awake all the time, I've never had that on any of my other android smart phones, starting to regret this purchase now :-(
View 3 Replies View RelatedBattery stats reset when restarting their phone? Note that this phenomenon occurs for me even when battery is below 90%. I'm stock unrooted, running MDA89D.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that while in the battery stats screen Wifi is using over 10% of my battery and is on the top of the list. It was never like that in Android 5.1.1. I have restarted my phone several times.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAccording to my better battery stats my WiFi is always running. Is this normal even when WiFi is turned off?

I've found that 38 hours worth of battery life Engadget posted in their review to sound like a bit much. However this is less than a week into our new toys, and I know we're all playing hard. So, just for the curious, and to make sure none of us got shorted, how bout a study? If you'd like, post your numbers, however to be more exact, lets go by the usage number under Settings>General>Usage. If you will, post both Usage and Standby stats since the last full charge when you get down to 20%. Try to be as exact as possible.
So on my iPhone 4 going from 100% to 20% I've got...
Usage 5 hours 4 minutes
Standby 16 hours 8 minutes
Total 21 hours 12 minutes
I just noticed this. Everytime I reboot the phone, it resets the battery stats. It'll say something like "1 min 30s on battery" even though I last charged the phone hours ago. Is this a bug in Android 4.4? I never had this issue on my Nexus 4.
FYI, i'm unlocked and rooted, running ART as my run time environment.
"i got a droid at a really cheap price, yes time to activate it! oh, whats that verizon? you say its on the stolen list? so yeah i want to resell my droid so i can get my money back, but selling it blacklisted wont give me much a return. so i want to flash it to cricket. but i want to do it on my own. i would really appreciate it if someone could walk me through the process of flashing it to cricket. id be glad to cut you in on a percentage of the sale if you'd like. please i want someone whos done this before and knows what they're doing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow I can best use Moto Voice to create and add to a to-do type list? I see it can set a reminder but the reminder requires you to enter a due time/date or location and I don't really need to do that. I just want to be able to have Moto Voice add something to a simple list. I have tried the "Note to self:" command but that seems to just send an email to your gmail account and since I don't use gmail, that really isn't useful for me either. Any simple list that can be voice controlled (at least to add to the list)?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMoto droid: I have had the droid since the release, and all is well except that the keyboard doesnt lay down like when it was new, and seems to get worse with time,The adhesive seems to be gone from letters a to k on the top 3 rows and from the alt key to the @ key
Just wonder if there is any fix.I searched the forum but didn't find any solutions (wrong keywords possibly)
Thanks in advance for any "useful" advice or solution
After I updating my phone to android 2.1, QPST says their is no phone connected even thought HW VSP connects to 192.168.16 port 11008 that is my Moto droid. What do I do?? How do I make QPST detects my phone again. Already tried reinstalling all..
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to replace a broken screen on the Moto Droid? Even with protection, it was dropped and shattered. I saw a link on how to disassemble the DroidX, but how can you get a new screen?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed that my moto action (approach) stopped working on my phone.
I know some people hate this feature because it seems to wake up the phone unnecessarily, but in terms of impact to battery it's minuscule to none.
I actually like this feature because using the power button to wake up the phone seems rather inconvenient after having gotten used to the approach feature.
The problem is that it suddenly stopped working for me. I know that people are going to ask if I enabled this in the moto actions menu, it's definitely turned on. I rebooted the phone several times with it on and off. None of those measures have worked.
My Turbo connects to my car via Bluetooth. Whenever I disconnect (turn off the car) the Moto voice app launches and is listening- like this [URL] ..... Is this supposed to happen? This seems like a bug.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBoth devices updated to latest OS Lollipop 5.1 on Turbo and 5.1.1 on Moto 360.
Making phone calls using hand set, everything seems fine. Then two about 10 seconds into the call I notice that I can't hear anything in the Turbo handset earpiece. When I look at the setting on the phone screen I notice that the connection has switched from "handset" to bluetooth. The only bluetooth device that is connected is the Moto 360.
When I switch it back to "handset" or "speaker" it works fine again. And when I switch back, the person on the other end of the call says: "Now I can hear you much better again, for a time you were very soft/far away" -- I'm assuming that is because they are hearing my voice picked up by my watch's microphone and not my droid turbo.
How to stop this from happening?
So the very first time I used my motoactv I was able to tap the screen and I got an audio breakdown of my current stats of my run. It worked just that 1 time and has never worked since. Tap tap tap tap tap tap nothing. What am I doing wrong? When I do tap it it just goes through each of the visual screens for calories, distance, heart rate etc. Also, I have noticed that for some runs the audio alerts for each lap worked once and I have never heard another audio alert again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my phone set to respond to "OK Google Now". When I am not connected to Bluetooth, this works great. When connected to BT, the Moto Voice Blue "Listening" window pops up, then minimizes/closes after 1 second. This did not happen with KitKat.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt is ridiculous that if I pause my workout, I am "locked" on the pause screen and can't view any of the workout tabs or the map. So, I either have to try and view the map whilst I'm cycling - with traffic around, clicking around and trying to zoom in and out, which is pretty dangerous - or I have to pull in, and then keep moving at an incredibly slow pace so the workout doesn't auto-pause (and then basically just mess up my workout stats).
How did Motorola not think anyone would want the functionality to browse the route map whilst they're stationary? This seems a pretty basic concept - am I missing something, is there actually some way to do this? If not, can we address this in the next firmware update, there is no reason why the workout tab should be locked to the pause screen when you pause it.
I have migrated from a simple Timex heart rate monitor to the Motoactv and use it for running. I use the Motoactv Heart Rate Monitor. After 2 weeks of use I find a feature I miss is Heart Rate Recovery. When a workout was completed the Timex gave you the heart rate at completion and one minute later. The decline of heart rate in that one minute was a great indicator of overall heart health and a good metric for individual runs, especially long runs. Am I missing some setup info or is this metric missing?
Has anyone figured a practical workaround without too much fumbling at the end of a run or other workout?
Looking for some input from the Golfers:Discussion on talking about this stats page: Whats on it, what you would like to see on it and should this be editable here?Course: I likeScore: Obviously need.Time: Unsure of. What do others think. Kind of nice to know how long you have been out?Distance: Really? I dont see this a relevant need to know. (I would suggest to see something else here)Steps: Really? Most courses here require you to use a cart, so definitly wasted stat in my case.Calories: Really? in Golfing. I dont think anyone says, I need to loose weight, so I am going to start golfing! What would I/you like to see in place of some of these?:Longest drive: That could be cool.Closest to the pin: Neat, but not sure how they would calculate as pin locations vary aside from gauging it ofenter.
Total strokes: Nice to know. Maybe a splitbox with the other score.
How do I get my battery notification to come up when the battery is full?? I know it use to do that but now I can't find where it went to?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I look at the battery use in Settings/Battery Information it shows items such as WIFI at 4+% ( WIFI not even on) or a game I played (today Jewels Star at 25% - only was to make this one disappear is to uninstall the program, this is true with any game I play). My question is, is this information about what WAS running or information on what IS running. or both.
