I updated my Verizon S5 to Lollipop and WIFI is showing as turned on even though its not. I have everything unchecked in the advanced setting. Have this issue with the lollipop update?
I have noticed that while in the battery stats screen Wifi is using over 10% of my battery and is on the top of the list. It was never like that in Android 5.1.1. I have restarted my phone several times.
Since I installed the 5.1 update, I've noticed in the stock battery stats that wifi displays as always on, with a solid green line across the screen, even when wifi is off AND disconnected from any wifi signal. I don't seem to have a drain on the battery as a result, but I don't have a clue why it would show up like this.
Since acquiring a G4 recently I've noticed something weird going on with the phone's battery stats report. For some reason the Phone App is always listed as the highest battery consumer, even in circumstances when the screen should definitely be at the top with upwards of 4 hours of SOT.
Here's a shot from today after being off a full charge for about 15 hours and 1.5 hours of SOT (a good chuck of this was overnight idle).
This is happening on every full recharge even after rebooting and full charging in an off state.
However, the GSam report looks much more normal and closer to what I would expect to see
Just wondering where blink feed is in everyone's battery stats? For me it always seems to be really high up, currently second on list after chrome having used 8% and I'm down to 30%. I know blink feed is the whole launcher but just surprised its so high as don't think I ever even saw Google now launcher mentioned on my nexus 5.
Recently i noticed that the battery percentage is showing incorrectly. After first restart the battery percentage is much lower, and after second and next restarts it is randomly higher or lower than it should. After sending phone to the service to reintall software the problem didn't stop. What's the problem ?
I've only had my Z3 a week, first expensive phone I've bought outright but I've noticed the battery draining quickly in standby, when I look in the battery stats it say's my phone is awake all the time, I've never had that on any of my other android smart phones, starting to regret this purchase now :-(
Battery stats reset when restarting their phone? Note that this phenomenon occurs for me even when battery is below 90%. I'm stock unrooted, running MDA89D.
I've found that 38 hours worth of battery life Engadget posted in their review to sound like a bit much. However this is less than a week into our new toys, and I know we're all playing hard. So, just for the curious, and to make sure none of us got shorted, how bout a study? If you'd like, post your numbers, however to be more exact, lets go by the usage number under Settings>General>Usage. If you will, post both Usage and Standby stats since the last full charge when you get down to 20%. Try to be as exact as possible. So on my iPhone 4 going from 100% to 20% I've got...
Attached is the most up to date battery stats analysis Ive been running since I bought the phone new on 11/10/14.
So far over the life of my phone my average usage is:
By 27% battery left
- 2.23 days on battery
SCREEN - 4.14 hours of screen on time - Screen 30% of battery usage
CELL STBY - Cell Standby 1.61 days - Cell Standby 24% of battery usage - Time without signal 3%
VOICE CALLS - Voice Call Time 40 minutes - Voice Call 8% of battery usage
on the main page if you scroll to the right at the top youll see some simple crunching to compare how many charges less my turbo is getting compared to my old android phones (droid x and gnex) where I charged them every night. I charged them every night because I had too, likewise I only charge the turbo when it needs it. I am open to hearing others opinions on what % its best to charge at but as I know and you should too it is very much debated. There are many surces claiming what is best as for charging habits. i am testing based on charging my phone to 100% once it hits around 25-30% and ever 30 charges I run it down to 7-10% to 100.
I just noticed this. Everytime I reboot the phone, it resets the battery stats. It'll say something like "1 min 30s on battery" even though I last charged the phone hours ago. Is this a bug in Android 4.4? I never had this issue on my Nexus 4.
FYI, i'm unlocked and rooted, running ART as my run time environment.
I've been having problems with my battery monitor constantly showing wifi usage while it's never even used on my phone. There will then be sporadic times where it will show that wifi is "off" and then kick back in.
Having issues with no info being shown in the battery section. Example instead of saying for example 6 hours left of usage it just keeps saying still learning usage habit. It was showing before but I did a factory reset and for a day it's been like this. Previously it was giving me info out the box and even when I did a reset before I was getting data instantly.
on Samsung Galaxy S5 it was always showing when i plug in my charger it used to show that blue screen where you can see how much time left before you plug your charger out and also shows three steps like Speed, and Trickle etc...
So the last few days I've had problems with WiFi disconnecting and reconnecting over and over and thought that was the cause of my battery draining tons faster then normal, used to last at least most if not all day with pretty constant use and now it's barely making it 5 hours without needing a charge. Att pushed the 4.4.4 update today and after turning the WiFi smart switch back off the WiFi problem seems to be better but my battery is still draining, just not quite as fast.
In my iTunes usage stats for my iPhone, it shows 10gb in "other" and 16 gb in "apps".What could be included in the "other" category? I look at my apps by size and they seem to come no where near 16gb - could some of them contain data files? and if so, how can I figure out the big space users and trim down some of the files?Â
So the very first time I used my motoactv I was able to tap the screen and I got an audio breakdown of my current stats of my run. It worked just that 1 time and has never worked since. Tap tap tap tap tap tap nothing. What am I doing wrong? When I do tap it it just goes through each of the visual screens for calories, distance, heart rate etc. Also, I have noticed that for some runs the audio alerts for each lap worked once and I have never heard another audio alert again.
It is ridiculous that if I pause my workout, I am "locked" on the pause screen and can't view any of the workout tabs or the map. So, I either have to try and view the map whilst I'm cycling - with traffic around, clicking around and trying to zoom in and out, which is pretty dangerous - or I have to pull in, and then keep moving at an incredibly slow pace so the workout doesn't auto-pause (and then basically just mess up my workout stats).
How did Motorola not think anyone would want the functionality to browse the route map whilst they're stationary? This seems a pretty basic concept - am I missing something, is there actually some way to do this? If not, can we address this in the next firmware update, there is no reason why the workout tab should be locked to the pause screen when you pause it.
I have migrated from a simple Timex heart rate monitor to the Motoactv and use it for running. I use the Motoactv Heart Rate Monitor. After 2 weeks of use I find a feature I miss is Heart Rate Recovery. When a workout was completed the Timex gave you the heart rate at completion and one minute later. The decline of heart rate in that one minute was a great indicator of overall heart health and a good metric for individual runs, especially long runs. Am I missing some setup info or is this metric missing?
Has anyone figured a practical workaround without too much fumbling at the end of a run or other workout?
Is there a way that when you play a Game in Game center on one device your scores and stats will sync across all your devices. For an example when I play Fruit Ninja on my iPhone my highscore doesn't come up on my iPad I have to play the game to reach another high score from my iPad.
Looking for some input from the Golfers:Discussion on talking about this stats page: Whats on it, what you would like to see on it and should this be editable here?Course: I likeScore: Obviously need.Time: Unsure of. What do others think. Kind of nice to know how long you have been out?Distance: Really? I dont see this a relevant need to know. (I would suggest to see something else here)Steps: Really? Most courses here require you to use a cart, so definitly wasted stat in my case.Calories: Really? in Golfing. I dont think anyone says, I need to loose weight, so I am going to start golfing! What would I/you like to see in place of some of these?:Longest drive: That could be cool.Closest to the pin: Neat, but not sure how they would calculate as pin locations vary aside from gauging it ofenter. Total strokes: Nice to know. Maybe a splitbox with the other score.
I'm pretty happy with the built in LG G3 exercise app, but have noticed that the weekly view of the exercise stats has the wrong date. The app shows that I am recording data for yesterday. Makes me think I'm hearing some twilight zone music.
For example, today is Friday the 24th, it shows no activity for today, but is logging my activity today under Thursday the 23rd.
Yup, twilight zone music. I cannot find somewhere to set the date or such. The daily tracker shows the correct day and date.
Clear data on the app? But then I lose my history. Just seems like a bug in the App software to me.
