View 2 RepliesI just noticed this. Everytime I reboot the phone, it resets the battery stats. It'll say something like "1 min 30s on battery" even though I last charged the phone hours ago. Is this a bug in Android 4.4? I never had this issue on my Nexus 4.
FYI, i'm unlocked and rooted, running ART as my run time environment.
I have noticed that while in the battery stats screen Wifi is using over 10% of my battery and is on the top of the list. It was never like that in Android 5.1.1. I have restarted my phone several times.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAccording to my better battery stats my WiFi is always running. Is this normal even when WiFi is turned off?

When I try and reboot through the Xposed Framework I get the following error message everytime:
sush:<stdin>[5]: /data/user/0/
de.robv.android/xposed.installer/cache/busybox-
xposed:not found
Reboot failed: Please use the device's normal reboot function.
I have busbox installed. Not sure what else I'm doing wrong?
You change it in developer settings, to give the screen a more lcd look. I really like it, but turns off after reboot. Is it bad for the screen?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI haven't done a factory reset yet but I would love to avoid it if possible.
I went to take a picture of the wife's newly decorated Christmas tree and the stock camera fails to fully start. It behaves as if it can not use the hardware. When I look at the back there is a small red light/laser that refuses to go out unless the phone is rebooted.
I've rebooted the phone a few times and tried Manual Camera and a couple others .. same behavior.
The phone is running 6.0.1 and is rooted.
Since acquiring a G4 recently I've noticed something weird going on with the phone's battery stats report. For some reason the Phone App is always listed as the highest battery consumer, even in circumstances when the screen should definitely be at the top with upwards of 4 hours of SOT.
Here's a shot from today after being off a full charge for about 15 hours and 1.5 hours of SOT (a good chuck of this was overnight idle).
This is happening on every full recharge even after rebooting and full charging in an off state.
However, the GSam report looks much more normal and closer to what I would expect to see
I deleted both my Facebook app and messenger, and I had much better battery life for a few days. Now however, my sot is barely at 2 1/2 hours again, and my top usage is chrome. It's pretty frustrating because I stopped using Facebook altogether, and in still having poor battery. I think chrome is not letting it doze.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAs simple as that, when im on wi-fi , I get like 6-6:30 hours of screen and with 3G I get like idk 4 hours? Even with the screen off, it drains too much battery....

I want the indicator in pourcentage?
Just wondering where blink feed is in everyone's battery stats? For me it always seems to be really high up, currently second on list after chrome having used 8% and I'm down to 30%. I know blink feed is the whole launcher but just surprised its so high as don't think I ever even saw Google now launcher mentioned on my nexus 5.

View 10 Replies View RelatedIt appears I have a major battery drain with my 6P from exchange services. It appears to be rather sporadic, but as it stands the phone tends to last ~10 hours in standby. When looking at the battery usage, it appears that 35% of the use is by exchange services. This used to never be an issue with my N6 or any previous Nexus phones.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just learned that some laptops include a utility that offers to limit battery charging capacity to within 0 - 80% in order to slow the attenuation of the battery lifespan. Is this possible on Nexus 6P?

Is there any way to show battery percentage instead of just the battery icon without having to root or do all kinds of things? Is that option build into the system?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAndroid Marshmallow. I noticed that on my Moto X Pure (Style) before and also now on my Nexus 6P that whenever I charged it to 100% it won't say "Full" but instead "Charging on AC" still. On my Moto X before, the "Full" message will be displayed after 30 mins or so. However on my Nexus 6P now, it will take more than an hour for it to say "Full".
View 4 Replies View RelatedCan set battery percentage (no root) on the nexus 6p (googlefi)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am on my 5th charge, and Google Play services is my number one battery drainer.
I have location services, BT, on 24/7. I only connect to BT when in my car though, so 5% of the day maybe.
If I let me phone sit idle for about 4 hours, Google Play services will be the only thing that consumed battery.
So far i've tried disabling NFC, google hang outs, ambient screen. I am trying things one at a time to see what's causing it.
There are no wakelocks, because I click the graph and I show it's only awake when I am actually using it. GPS is rarely, if ever on. WIFI is never on, as I have green signal everywhere + unlimited data via tmobile. I also do not have any other always connected apps like facebook, or facebook IM, twitter, or whatsapp, etc.
Recently i noticed that the battery percentage is showing incorrectly. After first restart the battery percentage is much lower, and after second and next restarts it is randomly higher or lower than it should. After sending phone to the service to reintall software the problem didn't stop. What's the problem ?
View 8 Replies View RelatedFinally got around to sticking my SIM card into my 6P and decided to leave it off the charger over night to see how much battery percentage it would take away. I fell asleep with the battery at 55% and awoke with it around 30%. Looking at the battery usage, cell standby is consuming more of the battery than anything else. I've seen this bug in previous versions of Android, but have not heard anything about it with 6.0. Is my phone bad?
I'm on Verizon if that matters at all.
On Pure Nexus rom with EX kernel, my battery indicator drops 2% at a time..
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've always wanted a device with an AMOLED display, my Vita uses an OLED display and it's really, really nice. I've just ordered a Nexus 6P, which should come tomorrow, and was wondering about how much battery there is to be saved from using apps that mostly display white text on a black background.Since most the pixels won't be used, it seems to make sense that the screen would pull only a very small amount of power, right.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn recent memory I've noticed that I'm losing a significant chunk of battery even with the screen off.Looking at this screenshot from GSAM battery monitor, I've barely been using my phone while it sits on my desk but the battery has dropped 25% with the wifi looking like it's been active the entire time.
