View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed that after 6.0.1 wifi drains my battery when it's off and not even kept on during sleep (it's set on never). Wi-Fi frequency band is automatic though. Location is set on battery saving mode.
When I go to battery details the first thing to appear after charging the phone to the full is Wi-Fi to 1%. The time running increases little by little, no CPU usage and the computed power use also rises in mAh as time goes by.
Just got my 6P today, activated it on Verizon, and noticed I have no internet access while on a call. upgraded from a Galaxy S4 which was able to do both at the same time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust came back from work and tried to connect to my WiFi... It said connected but no internet access.. checked on my PC.. its working fine.. Restarted my phone still no luck.. Checked other phones in my house.. htc one m8, iphone6/ 5... all working fine. I check my Nexus 7 and Nexus 6 and its the same as my 6P.. connected but no internet access..
I have no clue why..
6P: pure nexus
6N: stock
N7: stock
I was having Wifi issues on the 6P. Connected to home wifi but no internet. The thing is, the wifi would still work randomly. It's possible that it works most of the time but as soon as I go out somewhere and out of the home wifi range, it sometimes messes up when it tries to reconnect to the network.
And yes, I realize it may not be a phone issue but maybe the router (Asus N66U with Tomato firmware).edit - well, I spoke too soon and I guess it's not the static IP causing the wifi issues. It turns out it was a firewall app called AFWall
I'm loving my N6P but coming from iOS I'm missing the dictionary function when using chrome. Do any browsers have this function?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI deleted both my Facebook app and messenger, and I had much better battery life for a few days. Now however, my sot is barely at 2 1/2 hours again, and my top usage is chrome. It's pretty frustrating because I stopped using Facebook altogether, and in still having poor battery. I think chrome is not letting it doze.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've literally tried everything that XDA, reddit, and other miscellaneous sites have told me to do and all of them have the same 3-4 ways to get this to work and none do.
Resetting wifi, airplane mode, rebooting, resetting network settings, restored a backup, reflashed a ROM, and went back to stock.. nothing. I also tried go into Netgear dashboard WiFi Settings and change the auto channel but that method doesn't seem to be an option for me, it's either "Auto" or number 1 through 10. Or 5G is auto and numbers in the 100s.
All other devices connect to my wifi no problem, and my Nexus 6P was just fine up until about 2hours ago.
I can not find it, weird?
I want the indicator in pourcentage?
Having issues with the 6P or just Marshmallow in general of not being able to connect to any wifi?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been experiencing short battery times. Upon checking I found that my phone's wifi constantly remains on. Even after switching it off and keeping the scanning option off.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIt appears I have a major battery drain with my 6P from exchange services. It appears to be rather sporadic, but as it stands the phone tends to last ~10 hours in standby. When looking at the battery usage, it appears that 35% of the use is by exchange services. This used to never be an issue with my N6 or any previous Nexus phones.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just learned that some laptops include a utility that offers to limit battery charging capacity to within 0 - 80% in order to slow the attenuation of the battery lifespan. Is this possible on Nexus 6P?
View 10 Replies View RelatedAfter getting my nexus 6p, i added pure nexus/xposed/root on it. However, for whatever reason my GSAM app just doesn't work even with the root. See screenshot for what is happening.

Is there any way to show battery percentage instead of just the battery icon without having to root or do all kinds of things? Is that option build into the system?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAndroid Marshmallow. I noticed that on my Moto X Pure (Style) before and also now on my Nexus 6P that whenever I charged it to 100% it won't say "Full" but instead "Charging on AC" still. On my Moto X before, the "Full" message will be displayed after 30 mins or so. However on my Nexus 6P now, it will take more than an hour for it to say "Full".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am on my 5th charge, and Google Play services is my number one battery drainer.
I have location services, BT, on 24/7. I only connect to BT when in my car though, so 5% of the day maybe.
If I let me phone sit idle for about 4 hours, Google Play services will be the only thing that consumed battery.
So far i've tried disabling NFC, google hang outs, ambient screen. I am trying things one at a time to see what's causing it.
There are no wakelocks, because I click the graph and I show it's only awake when I am actually using it. GPS is rarely, if ever on. WIFI is never on, as I have green signal everywhere + unlimited data via tmobile. I also do not have any other always connected apps like facebook, or facebook IM, twitter, or whatsapp, etc.
Finally got around to sticking my SIM card into my 6P and decided to leave it off the charger over night to see how much battery percentage it would take away. I fell asleep with the battery at 55% and awoke with it around 30%. Looking at the battery usage, cell standby is consuming more of the battery than anything else. I've seen this bug in previous versions of Android, but have not heard anything about it with 6.0. Is my phone bad?
I'm on Verizon if that matters at all.
On Pure Nexus rom with EX kernel, my battery indicator drops 2% at a time..
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've always wanted a device with an AMOLED display, my Vita uses an OLED display and it's really, really nice. I've just ordered a Nexus 6P, which should come tomorrow, and was wondering about how much battery there is to be saved from using apps that mostly display white text on a black background.Since most the pixels won't be used, it seems to make sense that the screen would pull only a very small amount of power, right.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn recent memory I've noticed that I'm losing a significant chunk of battery even with the screen off.Looking at this screenshot from GSAM battery monitor, I've barely been using my phone while it sits on my desk but the battery has dropped 25% with the wifi looking like it's been active the entire time. How should I go about figuring out which offending app is causing this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter switching to a custom rom from Stock my battery count haven't been the same, not talking about drain here. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have this issue and have spent the last 2 days trying to fix it to no avail. I'm wanting to start a fresh to resolve it which means wiping internal storage of music/photos etc. One question though, what's the best way of doing this to them install a fresh ROM?
