I want the indicator in pourcentage?
Been using Lightflow to change the LED indicator colors but cant find the brightness. The phone has like 10 detected LED lights according to the app but all of them are set to off and i still see the LED but the brightness is nowhere near what my S4 was.
View 2 Replies View Relatedsince replaced the display on my nexus 5, the indicator of the battery charge remains always at 0% ... if the detachment from the current, continues to run regularly for a few hours. I also tried replacing the battery with an original but to no avail. If i turn off the phone there is no way to turn it back on if you disconnect the battery, attacking power, get it going in the bootloader, reattach the battery and then start.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's weird. I'm not talking about DND. Seems as though every time I put ringer on vibrate it reverts back to sound after a while. Same with the media volume. I don't get it?!?!?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with DPI change, I used ADB to change the DPI using a simple adb shell wm density 460 && adb reboot, all good, only issue is a few things are.. weird.. For instance the "top apps" icon, little blue thinggy in the playstore is awkwardly big, it's larger then the font, but I didn't use the phone stock so I don't know if that's just how marshmallow is or if that's a dpi problem. I also noticed when loading The Sims FreePlay, the EA boot logo it extremely over scanned, the letters EA barely fit on the screen, the eBay app, the user display picture is cut off and only shows the bottom right corner on an icon that's huge and again over sized, as well as snapchat sending all of my snaps with extremely small font, yet on my screen before sending they look just fine.
So after looking into this further, the build.prop was never changed, it still says dpi 560, but I know for system files I need to mount /system in order to write to it without root. So I booted to recovery as that allows me write access to system, mounted system, says mounted /system at the bottom of the log, open adb, run adb devices, nothing comes up, it's not found, reboot phone, run adb devices, works fine. What's the deal? I can't get the 6p to work from recovery when mounting /system, it says it's mounted but on the computer end nothing is happening.
I also want to keep this phone as stock as possible, kind of a purist douche bag like that so I don't want to run TWRP, or at least I'm not committed to this DPI change being this important that I want a custom recovery.why I can't mount /system in the stock recovery? or rather, why I can mount it but why it's not working?
I'm currently on Franco Kernel but want to change to ElementalX kernel.
I've read that you can't just install the new kernel over the old kernel is that true?
Will I need to do wipe my device in order to install?
Is it possible?
View 2 Replies View RelatedBest rooting method? I don't need to change the ROM, but the precious root method doesnt seem to have survived a reboot. (I used CFAutoroot). Is it necessary to change recovery maybe that's why I had issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust as the title says, I tried messing with the dpi, went from 400 to 480, all of them cause chrome to go into tablet mode with the tiny tabs/buttons at the top of the screen. I'm using the PureNexus rom.
Gmail app doesn't allow me to click some embedded links and some links are just plain text and not highlighted/underlined in blue making them clickable.
I am thinking of keeping my phone stock given (Android Pay, Security Updates, Work requirements for email/messages). Is there any way to update the hosts file without unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP? I just want to get rid of the ads as they are soo annoying for non-donate/IAP/Pro-version apps.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI followed the instructions on this archived reddit post with my nexus 6p. "How to change the trigger word for google now" (no direct link because I am too new.) I cannot seem to get it working.
I have tried systematically switching on and off options in AutoVoice, e.g., "run in foreground" and "alternative method", and substituting other apps in place of "VoiceSearchActivity" in Tasker, e.g., "DspHotwordVoiceSearchActivity", but no luck. The hardware and up-to-date Google Now app in my nexus 6p should be compatible with this method.
I am loving my 6P, but I almost drop it all the time trying to reach across the screen and hit the back button while holding the phone one handed.
I think this wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem if I could move the back button to the far right position (this is where I had it on my G3 and it was soo much more comfortable to use).
Are there any root/non-root/modifications I can use to rearrange the buttons?
I have the bootloader unlocked and would happily root if it would enable the ability to move the buttons
I know Xposed add-ons will add this functionality eventually, but that could be at least a few weeks/months away.
I deleted both my Facebook app and messenger, and I had much better battery life for a few days. Now however, my sot is barely at 2 1/2 hours again, and my top usage is chrome. It's pretty frustrating because I stopped using Facebook altogether, and in still having poor battery. I think chrome is not letting it doze.

View 10 Replies View RelatedIt appears I have a major battery drain with my 6P from exchange services. It appears to be rather sporadic, but as it stands the phone tends to last ~10 hours in standby. When looking at the battery usage, it appears that 35% of the use is by exchange services. This used to never be an issue with my N6 or any previous Nexus phones.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just learned that some laptops include a utility that offers to limit battery charging capacity to within 0 - 80% in order to slow the attenuation of the battery lifespan. Is this possible on Nexus 6P?

Is there any way to show battery percentage instead of just the battery icon without having to root or do all kinds of things? Is that option build into the system?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAndroid Marshmallow. I noticed that on my Moto X Pure (Style) before and also now on my Nexus 6P that whenever I charged it to 100% it won't say "Full" but instead "Charging on AC" still. On my Moto X before, the "Full" message will be displayed after 30 mins or so. However on my Nexus 6P now, it will take more than an hour for it to say "Full".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am on my 5th charge, and Google Play services is my number one battery drainer.
I have location services, BT, on 24/7. I only connect to BT when in my car though, so 5% of the day maybe.
If I let me phone sit idle for about 4 hours, Google Play services will be the only thing that consumed battery.
So far i've tried disabling NFC, google hang outs, ambient screen. I am trying things one at a time to see what's causing it.
There are no wakelocks, because I click the graph and I show it's only awake when I am actually using it. GPS is rarely, if ever on. WIFI is never on, as I have green signal everywhere + unlimited data via tmobile. I also do not have any other always connected apps like facebook, or facebook IM, twitter, or whatsapp, etc.
Finally got around to sticking my SIM card into my 6P and decided to leave it off the charger over night to see how much battery percentage it would take away. I fell asleep with the battery at 55% and awoke with it around 30%. Looking at the battery usage, cell standby is consuming more of the battery than anything else. I've seen this bug in previous versions of Android, but have not heard anything about it with 6.0. Is my phone bad?
I'm on Verizon if that matters at all.
On Pure Nexus rom with EX kernel, my battery indicator drops 2% at a time..
