Android Marshmallow. I noticed that on my Moto X Pure (Style) before and also now on my Nexus 6P that whenever I charged it to 100% it won't say "Full" but instead "Charging on AC" still. On my Moto X before, the "Full" message will be displayed after 30 mins or so. However on my Nexus 6P now, it will take more than an hour for it to say "Full".

Now on my Nexus 6P every app has those banner ads constantly running. I am rooted running PureNexus and wondered if there is any way to block those ads?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI got my 6p yesterday and used skipsofts nrk to unlock and root the 6p. All fine and i am still getting the beginning splash screen saying device corrupt. I was reading in the purenexus rom thread and it said to flash the mdb08m vendor img. When I rooted I was and still am on Mdb08l. Am I able to flash that vendor img on the L or do I need to go up to M? Also is there a link or something on how to flash a vendor img and also where I would find it?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have two Nexus 5, one is running Lollipop 5.1.1, the other Marshmallow 6.0 (OTA upgrade).
USB Audio out works fine on the Lollipop Nexus 5: I can connect a USB DAC (iBasso D-zero MK2) using an OTG cable and play streaming music with Spotify, Google Play Music and local music files with Rocket Player. Connecting the same USB DAC with the same cable to the Marshmallow Nexus 5 fails: no sound when playing streaming music and local files using the same apps. (The USB Audio Player Pro app works fine on the Marshmallow Nexus 5, though, allowing to play local music files via USB.)
I tried the "Select USB Configuration" setting in Developers Options and set it to "Audio Source", with no success. Also, the "Disable USB audio routing" setting in Developers Options is disabled.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to Marshmallow (MRA58K), installed some apps. Then I went to Storage & USB and discovered, that there is 3 GB memory used of 12,55GB. The list below showed, that less than half of the 3GB should be used. Where did my 1,6GB go?

So I understand this is a new feature in marsmallow, right? Your app data within reason being backed up into your google account. I'm considering whether to root the 6P to install Xposed, and obviously unlocking the bootloader will wipe everything out and to be fair life is too short to spend configuring all my apps again the way I like them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI flashed the recovery, rooted the device. Updated the build.prop. Then unrooted it, put back stock recovery and locked the bootloader. I was getting "Your device is corrupt" message on boot, however, it was able to boot. I have received the January security updates, but I am not able to install it. It proceeds through installation and during the restart it shows "Error". I have already tried clearing cache.
Is there anything I can do ? Is there any way to update build.prop without getting "Your device is corrput" message ?
I haven't done a factory reset yet but I would love to avoid it if possible.
I went to take a picture of the wife's newly decorated Christmas tree and the stock camera fails to fully start. It behaves as if it can not use the hardware. When I look at the back there is a small red light/laser that refuses to go out unless the phone is rebooted.
I've rebooted the phone a few times and tried Manual Camera and a couple others .. same behavior.
The phone is running 6.0.1 and is rooted.
So, my nexus 6p screen toggles on once every minute or so while charging and i can't figure out what caused it. This is without input from the user. i'm running stock rom 6.0.1 with elementalx 1.02, rooted with double tap 2 wake enabled.

My brother just got his in today and it's dark so I'm just curious if it's an issue or that's just how it is stock. If it's normal I'm gonna have him use lightflow to activate so that's not a problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I was running screwd ROM with elementalX kernel. Everything was working great but I'm a long time DU user. Went to their G+ page flashed ROM. I had issues with it so I wiped and restored my backup of screwd ROM through TWRP. The first go around I selected to restore all partitions. It got stuck on the boot logo. Booted back into recovery and restored android again. This time I unchecked the vendor image box and restored the rest of the partitions. Worked like a charm.

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I first noticed this bug while trying to charge my phone from one of the USB ports on my computer, while the phone is off. It constantly connects and disconnects to the computer (as indicated by the sounds Windows makes) and the battery icon that flashes while the phone is off and charging keeps coming on and off. Not a major bug, but quite annoying if you have the phone connected while it's off.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro, btw.
I deleted both my Facebook app and messenger, and I had much better battery life for a few days. Now however, my sot is barely at 2 1/2 hours again, and my top usage is chrome. It's pretty frustrating because I stopped using Facebook altogether, and in still having poor battery. I think chrome is not letting it doze.
