I have a motorola q9c. I have connected it to my pc with a usb cable. Active sync recognizes the phone, but the pc and motorola phone tools do not. Can someone help me fix this?
I see the list of differences here, but when it really comes down to it, what are the differences that I will *see* and *experience* by getting a Q9C? I don't use the PIM or Microsoft Office functions much. I would love to have true push e-mail. I only have POP3 and GMail IMAP accounts, no MS Exchange. I don't care about Internet sharing.
I place an MicroSD Card in my Moto Q9m with my music files in it, but when I go in File Manager from the Start menu, The "Storage Card" folder isnt there. But the SD Card mark on the top of the screen is there but nothing is showing up. Why not?
The Root Certificate on my boss's Moto Q is invalid now and wont' update his phone. He has never used a data cable to sync his phone. Is there a way to update activsync on his cell or do I have to do it on his desktop?

Trying to find the latest Java VM for my "new to me" Q9C. I have tried a few, but then when I browse to m.google.com/mail and try to install the latest GMail Java client, it tells me that "This file cannot be viewed on the device". Other Java VMs "cut off" the bottom part of the screen, and I can't see the menu option to exit the program.for a Q9C running Windows Mobile 6.1 standard, which Java VM do I want?
I need some ideas, I shut the phone off last night put it on charge since it was almost dead, got up this morning unplugged it turned it on and it will not go past the hellomoto screen.I tried hooking to computer to see if it recognized the phone and no luck, it seems to be stuck in loading.
I looked in the FAQs and the main stickies, but the URL listed in the sticky is no longer active. I have a motorola w490 that I got as a replacement until my contract is up. It's unlocked and works with my AT&T SIM, I just need to get the settings for it so that I can send/receive MMS, and SMS and browse the net. I looked online and found some settings for a razr, but the process to get to the settings is not the same as the w490, I have no idea where to put the settings in.
I have a cricket phone atm and my friend just gave me his old phone ( Moto Q [ A1 i believe]) after he upgraded. My question is ( and i've browsed the forums and I might just be missing the topic but... ) how do i take the info from the cricket and put it on the Moto Q
"i got a droid at a really cheap price, yes time to activate it! oh, whats that verizon? you say its on the stolen list? so yeah i want to resell my droid so i can get my money back, but selling it blacklisted wont give me much a return. so i want to flash it to cricket. but i want to do it on my own. i would really appreciate it if someone could walk me through the process of flashing it to cricket. id be glad to cut you in on a percentage of the sale if you'd like. please i want someone whos done this before and knows what they're doing.
Just got my new A45Eco, running on TMobile network, received the Motorola setup instructions and still cannot send text messages.all messages go straight to the outbox with an error message. any tips?
I just got a backflip... when I first boot it it needs me to create a blur account while trying it fails with service is temp. unavailable and theres no way for me to enter the OS.do I have to wait until servers is ok again??
Some previous instructions had said to use RSD LITE to flash my Q with the Monster file. It got 95% done and had an error where it could not finish. After doing some further investigation, I see I was supposed to use RSD GENERAL. I downloaded it, but it says that it can't read my phone and that it needs to be recovered. There is a list of Vendors and Versions, but they drop down boxes for it are blank! What do I do? I really want to use this phone for Verizon.
My Motorola Droid is a battery eater. I expected this when the phone was on, but it also is when powered off (I mean POWERED OFF by holding the power key and selecting Power Off, not just put in Standby or Airplane Mode). I turned it off with a fully charged battery and put it away for the night. Eight hours later, I turned it on and the battery was at 60%. The only way I can prevent this from happening is by removing the battery. The battery use indicator doesn't help much.
I was wondering whether this is a known Droid problem. I got the phone used from Verizon Wireless after I lost my other phone, which was an HTC Eris. The Eris ate battery when on but not when shut down. If this problem is specific to my phone I need to talk to Verizon about it.
I bought an unlocked motorola q 9h global yesterday to replace my dead moto v3 razr.I plugged in my sim card and can make/receive calls, but i cant seem to connect to the internet.im guessing i need to configure some settings, tried to for hours last night trying settings from (very)old help topics, the rogers "help" site seems more interested in my bank account then helping one of their customers. i finely give up and called rogers tech support only to be told by "Melony" that since im pay as you go, i fail and to go back to the rogers gimmie all da mohney honey site,
I can't seem to get my phone to communicate with Moto Cast USB. I use Zumocast for wireless, but I wanted to use Moto Cast to sync my music and videos over USB. When I plug the USB in everything starts up automatically. A screen pops up and tells me its preparing my device, then another screen pops up telling me to wait while it loads content. However, this second screen has a large yellow triangle with an exclamation in it and lists things to try if you are having connection issues. I have tried every USB option I have on the phone, it seems to force the connection back to USB mass storage, so I assume that is where it needs to be.
I restarted my phone yesterday, or rather tried to - but it will not boot - it gets as far as the shimmering red M symbol but no farther. The only way to shut down ore try again is to remove the battery. Have also tried with USB connected, and with sim card removed. Battery shows 90% charge when USB connected.
Have tried hardware reset but it never shows the menu.
This phone is only a couple of weeks old and Im severely disapointed, my first time back to Motorola after many years away. It seemed like a good phone, but this is a great inconvenience.
My old phone broke. So instead of paying 50 bucks for the repair, I spent $200 in a Motorola Spice XT300. As I've had seen in the Motoactv, I looked around for a cheap smartphone, with Android 2.1 or superior. That's where I found the XT300. It was a little more expensive than other models, but it was a Motorola phone. Much to my surprise, the Motoactv app is not supported for my new Moto phone!
How I can best use Moto Voice to create and add to a to-do type list? I see it can set a reminder but the reminder requires you to enter a due time/date or location and I don't really need to do that. I just want to be able to have Moto Voice add something to a simple list. I have tried the "Note to self:" command but that seems to just send an email to your gmail account and since I don't use gmail, that really isn't useful for me either. Any simple list that can be voice controlled (at least to add to the list)?
Moto droid: I have had the droid since the release, and all is well except that the keyboard doesnt lay down like when it was new, and seems to get worse with time,The adhesive seems to be gone from letters a to k on the top 3 rows and from the alt key to the @ key
Just wonder if there is any fix.I searched the forum but didn't find any solutions (wrong keywords possibly) Thanks in advance for any "useful" advice or solution
I have a K1m that I hav had like forever and I thought I Try the Alltel monster to see what I get and if I like ot. Well stupid me used the customer upgrade and it got me a nice peice of phone. I recently bought an iPod Touch and love it. (No, I don't want to buy an iPhone). I really liked my Moto Q, but then bought a used Q9C because I thought that it, along with a Cradlepoint PHS300, would allow me to utilize my iPod Touch when no hotspots were around.Well, so far no joy, but that's another story (and several threads). The question here is:
1) If I upgrade to a Touch Pro 2 (or other SERO-compatible phone), will I have an easier time "tethering" the iPod Touch? I've already sunk $100 into the PHS300, so if I act quickly, I can return the PHS300 and get the Touch Pro 2 for "only" another $100 or $200.(I do NOT have "phone-as-modem" [PAM] on my plan)
2) If I say 'forget my SERO' and get an Android phone, how will I fare?
After I updating my phone to android 2.1, QPST says their is no phone connected even thought HW VSP connects to 192.168.16 port 11008 that is my Moto droid. What do I do?? How do I make QPST detects my phone again. Already tried reinstalling all..
