My company is using gmail as our new email provider and I cannot get emails that I have deleted in either my gmail in box or outlook inbox to sync up and be removed from my Droid. I only want to see what is in my inbox now, not what was in there from 6 says ago.
View 4 Repliesif i delete an email on my handheld it does not delete from my actual gmail account. in fact, it doesnt even say that its read. well, on the computer next to inbox it doesnt say any are new, but when i look at the inbox, i still have the emails and it shows them bolded like they were not read at all. when i delete on my bb, nothing happens to gmail. i tried deleting my gmail address from my phone, resending service books, battery pulls but none of that has resolved. i made sure that handheld wins was set to on under wireless reconciliation and in the VZW BIS control/email settings i have it set to sync deleted emails.
i tried fooling around with the contact sync a few days ago but stopped it becaues it wasnt working (this is the only new thing ive done with my bb in the last week or so). i also downoaded the new socialbeat app from verizon/iskoot. but other than that nothing is new in the last few days. i am running driphters 6.3 on top of whatever OS its supp to be installed on (.484 i think?). dont just jump to that as the problem because i have had it for almost a month and have not had a problem until now (that i tried that stupid contact sync bullsht).
When I delete emails from my pc on my old earthlink account (yes, I still use an earthlink account, got too much stuff linked to it still) it doesn't remove them from my Turbo email folder. Not sure if I'm missing a setting or what but my old Droid DNA synced just fine. I'm using the default email app on the phone. I'm tired of seeing a ton of emails on my phone but only having 10 in my inbox via my pc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Razr's calendar stopped syncing to my gmail calendars. Gmail account settings all say to sync everything. The only calendar offered for a new appointment is "phone storage. Only calendar that shows in Calendar settings is "phone storage".

I have just noticed that a certain number of emails that were in my inbox were deleted on my phone. I can see them in my trash folder on the phone but I need to put them back in the inbox or any other folder that I can get to them using outlook on my computerFrom what I can tell my only option is to delete them permanently.

Inexplicably, sometimes when I delete emails, they reappear as a new incoming email either the same day or even many days after deletion.Sometimes, I can delete the same email multiple times before it stops reappearing.I do not want to change the setting on my RoadRunner set-up to "delete after reading" because then I will not see these emails when I get home from work and login on my laptop or my desktop.Somehow, the Droid cannot seem to distinguish that an email has already been read and deleted.

View 12 Replies View RelatedOnly in the past two days when I delete an email from Hotmail on my PC, it does not delete on my BB.However, if I delete an email from my BB and select "mailbox & handheld", it is deleted from Hotmail on my PC.I have had the same Pearl 8110 on the same T-mobile package for more than 12 months.I have checked that wireless reconciliation is "on" in my BB email settings.Also, late today my BB has started truncating all my messages and not providing the "more" option or automatically loading the rest of the message.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI got a RAZR a couple of weeks ago for my wife, and I made a mistake setting it up. I setup the email app instead of the gmail app. Now all the emails are going only to the phone, so unless the laptop is left on all the time (we use google apps sync to outlook), it never gets any emails.
How do I get these emails back to gmail? Can I mass forward these emails back out somehow? I can forward one at a time, and I can save to the sd messaging folder one at a time.
There must be a way to do this.For example, everytime my bluetooth connects, I get a notifications sound, which I don't really need. Plus, it's the same sound for email and text.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWell the last week or so I have noticed that my email account is not syncing with my Razr Maxx HD - It is an outlook account - it also does the same thing with my Yahoo account as well I tried looking in settings for sync frequency but there is not option to set - I know on previouse phones there has been option for it but not this one.. Other than deleting the account and re-doing it or restoring the phone, because those two dont work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt's set to delete on Handheld and Mailbox (mailbox wins). When the user deletes the message on the BB, the message deletes in Outlook. When he deletes a message in his Outlook Inbox, it won't delete. The message will finally delete after being deleted from the deleted folder in Outlook, however, it's supposed to delete when cleared from the inbox.

I have a razr maxx hd and ever since I did the jellybean update, my corporate email will synch correctly for a few hours and then stop synching. This may last for couple of hours or all day. I have deleted the account several times and also have done a FDR. I am still having the same problem. The coporate email is one of the main functions that I use my phone for, so its very important that it works correctly. I have tried it off WIFI and on WIFI with the same issues. It just periodically loses connection with the server and gives error message that says "Couldn't find connection to server". Like I said, this may last for only couple of hours or most of the day and then it just starts working again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI love my Turbo but my email keeps re-downloading even after I've deleted. I just deleted 123 emails dating back to December. Then I heard email notification again and this time 149 emails were DL'ed again duplicating what I deleted plus some. With the Turbo you can't do a select all to delete so it's one at a time or check all and then hit delete. I can't keep doing this. I've checked email settings and I see nothing where I can get this to stop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone doesn't consistently sync, even though I have push email enabled. Happens when I'm both connected to wifi and on 4G/3G. When it's not syncing, mail doesn't even sync when I open the app; I have to manually do it. Completely unacceptable, never had this problem on any other smartphone I've owned (which have all been HTCs). Maybe this is helpful, but the gmail widget and the email widget also do not consistently sync on my device. Maybe there's a trend here that points to a larger problem or solution. But I' m not worried about the widgets; I just want to be able to get my email onto my device, which should be happening with no issues.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI like the consolidated inbox (messaging) on the RAZR Maxx. I only have 1 significant issue with the app.
We need an option/feature so that when you delete messages from the email server that they are removed from the phone. Having to redundantly delete messages from the phone that have already been deleted from the server is ridiculous.
The opposite is provided ... you can choose if you want to delete messages from the server when you delete them from the phone but the reverse needs to be provided as well.
I am using a Droid RAZR with ICS. At times I will receive an email with a timestamp sometime in the future (usually a SPAM message). This prevents new emails from downloading into the email program until after the date and time of that last email. If I delete the email with the incorrect timestamp other meails will immediately download onto the phone.I have looked at the header for this email in Outlook on my PC, and it appears that the email program on the phone is using the timestamp fro the sending computer system, not the one from the local timezone. Does anyone know a way around this issue?

The previous email app which is no longer supported by Lollipop allowed one to delete an email from the app without deleting it from the server (Comcast) if it was a POP account. This was handy because it removed clutter from my phone inbox but allowed me to read and reply to the same email on my desktop (POP email). Just now I read and then deleted an email (Comcast) from the GMail app and attempted to read and reply to that email on my desktop. Horrors. It's gone. It doesn't appear in my email client (Thunderbird) nor on the server.
I could not find any way to change that behavior in GMail under settings. The missing emails are in the trash folder on the phone but I couldn't figure out a way to transfer them back to the inbox or even less likely to get them back on the server. I will now, of course, be careful not to delete any email messages from GMail but I wonder if any way to change the behavior of the app?
Anyone else's gmail not syncing automatically? I have to manually refresh (twice) before it would update. There are no settings to select autosync as an option.
