I purchased a Q9C on ebay. The phone is flashed is Sprint ready but the phone is branded ALLTel hence Sprint won't activate the phone. However, I have several old phones I would like to change the ESN of the Q9c with that of my other phone. First of all, will that work (that is will Sprint activate it) and secondly, how do I do that? Does anyone have directions? I tried QPST but NVM folder is locked
Old V9x was Telstra locked and ran on 3G 850 MHz (called NextG here) which suits me fine. Flip on phone got damaged, so bought another that is unlocked. Has GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 and 3G HSDPA, but not 3G 850.
Q1: Is the band availability able to be changed via software or hardware?
Q2: If it is hardware is there any issue with swapping the chip set PCB from old phone to new? (Have seen the dismantling stuff on the net)
The battery monitor on my Zoom seems to be stuck at 100%. I have been using it for a couple of hours and it is still showing a full charge. Currently in JB. Anyone else experienced this?
Whenever I take a picture, I like to hold my phone vertical. Hence, all my pictures are sideways. Is there a setting or an app I can get that will change the orientation of my photos?
Did anybody experienced this? Look at the screenshot...A few days ago, the telephone app changed, and just today, same thing happened with Chrome.n the app drawer, though, the original icons are shown.
I have the 200MB plan and use the internet when I am ONLY on WiFi networks. However, while exploring 2.2, I recall seeing a setting that, if the WiFi connection drops, the new setting stops the Bravo from using the 3G. If the Bravo changed over to 3G to maintain the internet connection (apparently the default setting), massive data charges would be incurred. I have tried to re-discover this setting but no success to date. Any way to use / change this "WiFi to 3G" setting?
As the title says, I am looking for a way to change the text alert (for when someone sends you a page), both volume and actual sound used, using an app or smart actions (in much the same way you can change the ringer using smart actions).Unlike most people I want it to get really loud and anoying at night (when I am likly asleep) so it will wake me up.I am also looking for a way to alarm/chip/alert/notify again if I have unheard messages or unviewed pages. Right now there is this blinking LED on the front. That is nice, but it won't wake me up or let me know if I went to the other room for a sec.
My husband and I have recently purchased the droidx2 and have encountered problems with texting. The incoming text appears in the notification field at the top of the home screen from the correct sender, but when we open the text, the sender contact has been randomly switched to another person in our contact list. This is happening quite frequently and is resulting in texts going to very random people. Occasionally when composing a text, the chosen recipient will randomly change when we press the send button.
Whats that all about? I currently have 3G only (we get 4G in Oct!!!) and it changes color sometimes from blue to white. I assume people have ssen this with 4G coverage too. Why does my phone do this?
I prefer to see the agenda view of my calendar on my Droid X.However, it keeps on going back to the day view when I return to the calendar. It used to show the month view when I went on my calendar and I don't know how or why it changed to the day view. Also, if I put a new event on my calendar on my phone, when I save it, the phone returns to my calendar at two months earlier.
I am not sure if any of you are as upset by this as I am, but it does not appear that I will ever be able to use WiMax in my home area (Directly north of Indy). The only possible redeeming possibility is if the Photon can be upgraded to LTE via software fix (similar to the Xoom). I have heard talk from multilple forums that it may be compatible since it has a sim card and that there is LTE in the build.prop file.
New member so forgive my mistakes. I have read the other threads on the above issue and they seem dated. I want to delete the original Gmail acct that the tech set up and use my regular gmail account without doing a factory reset to defaults. When I bought my Motorola Atrix at Costco in April 2011 the tech deleted all my phone contacts, data, and photos when trying to transfer to the Atrix. Then he set up a new required Gmail account for the Atrix and gave us the wrong password and security answer which I can not recover despite numerous tries with Google.I have another Gmail account with a good password and it is also on my Atrix. I can access both Gmail accounts on the Atrix because the unknown password is stored somewhere on teh phone. I cannot access my account settings to determine the correct password for the Gmail account I want to delete. What I'm really trying to do is somehow link my Atrix phone number to my regular Gmail and Motoblur acconts so I can use the Android Market from my PC and other functions. I cannot find anything on my regular Gmail account that allows me to link my Atrix phone with that account. It appears the phone is linked to the original Gmail acct the Costco tech set up and that I cannot acccess any settings on. The only settings (from both Gmail accts) I can access are the general ones that control notifications, rings, and messages.
My solution was to delete the account that I don't have a password for and then I would then a way to add my Atrix to my regular Gmail acct as the new Atrix acct or visa-versa. I will keep it screwed up if the only option is to reset to facotry defaults and lose everything. In a related question is there a way to transfer all my Atrix data to the micro SD card and then take it out and then reset?
On my Droid X2, I would like the standard email app(POP3 for Cox) to open in folder view, inbox, sent, deleted, etc and not default to opening to the contents of the inbox. Is this possible?
Also, I moved a message from my sent folder to the inbox and then decided to move it back. Inbox and Trash are the only locations available when I select the message and then select move.
After installing an app called WIFI Analyzer and seeing all the AP's in my neighborhood I wanted my home network in a less congested area of the spectrum. I changed my home network and now I can't see my AP? The only thing I can think of is that the Razr Maxx does not support 5GHz as I see from the product spec page that N networks are supported.
I have Cincinnati Bell Service, Milestone XT720 Phone. I am trying to find out of there is a way to change the black background color to any other color.
After the ICS update the processor is back to its own clock speed i.e 1.2ghz rather than then usual under clocked speed i.e 1ghz. But this had occured with all the other moto atrix 2 users.
My friend SWIM has a Straight Talk Moto W385 and he wants to change the clock to 24hr time format.SWIM is using PST. After starting PST, SWIM creates a new "feature file" and reads the data from his W385 handset. SWIM changes the clock format setting to 24hr and saves the file. Then SWIM tries to write the data back to his handset, but PST prompts SWIM for a subsidy unlock code.
SWIM has no idea what his subsidy unlock code is, nor does he know how/where to find it.How can SWIM either:
A). Get the magic code to finish this process via PST?
B). Make the 24hr format change using another method?
When you hit the unlock icon on the phone, you can slide right for unlock, up for phone dialer, down for text and left for camera.I'd like to slide left to go to my mail app. Is there a way to change what app is on that side?
So I had 1 default ring tone. It was an MP3 snippet and it worked on any contact set to default ring tone or to an unrecognized call. No issues.ast week I changed this default ring tone to be a different MP3 snippet. What I am finding is that any contact that is set to 'default ring tone' now plays a Motorola electroni telephone ring sound instead of the new default ring tone.Im looking for a way to correct this globally. What I have done in the mean time is edit a contact, change the ring tone to something else then back to default and it works from that point on.
I don't like the native, default keyboard on the Electrify, so I downloaded MultiLing keyboard from the Android Market. I like the MultiLing keyboard, but I've had one issue that has come up in only the last couple weeks. I'll select the MultiLing keyboard as my input choice, but a short time later, the keyboard has changed back to the standard keyboard.
Communications Authorities in Egypt changed Mobile networks numbers for all three providers by adding a number to each provider, for instance mine starts with 010 it will be 0100 and so on for other two providers adding 1 and 2.Now I have more than one thousands (1000) contacts in my phone book, how can I add this new digit to multiple contacts instead of editing one by one.
I have multiple emails. However, when I am in the email app, I cannot find an easy way to switch between accounts other than settings and changing the default account. Am I missing something, or was this phone really setup with only 1 email in mind?
I am planning to send my XOOM in an "as is" condition to avoid all of the reinstallation and setup problems. However, I plan to backup all my private data, e.g.pictures and documents.I would like to change auto login to gmail, Android market place, and Amazon market place to logging in manually before I send my xoom out for the upgrade. (This is to protect my account from the unauthorized access.)step by step of changing for the above three applications?
By default, the Atrix uses the picture filename of "YYYY-MM-DD_hh-mm-ss_xxx.jpg" (example: "2011-08-01_09-16-12_123.jpg"). How can we change this to another filename mask, like "YYYY_MMDD_hhmmss xxx.jpg" (example: 2011_0801_091612 123.jpg) or any other format of our choosing? In addition, are there any other field masks that we can use beyond the YYY, MM and DD and time fields?
Is there a way to change the rate at which the notifications light blinks? I'd like it to blink a tad bit more frequently/quickly but I can't figure out how to do that.
