I have had the Atrix for about two months now, and it seems to restart/reboot randomly, I thought I should check if anyone else has seen this? Should I take it back to the AT&T store and get a replacement or does anyone know the fix to this? Maybe the upcoming update will fix my issue...

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have owned the phone for a week and previously owned an Atrix. I have downloaded several apps and after restarting my phone some have disappeared. This was ongoing for several days and different apps. A google search shows this to be an issue with several models of Motorola phones when moving apps to the SD card or Media area. A temporary work around seems to be to keep the apps in the phones memory. Not sure this is a permanent fix because many people and I want to move their large apps to the SD card as the OS was designed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I'm on my third Atrix. First was within 30 day window with occasional random reboot, it was exchanged. The second was perfect up until the new OTA where I had issues with 4.5.91 installing and it was replaced with an upgraded Atrix with 4.5.91 already installed.he current one is rebooting twice daily and it's getting a little old. My question is where to I go from here? I have to be able to be contacted 24/7 for work, and got my peepee stepped on last time. So I cannot wait for an exchange.Can I reinstall 4.5.91 somehow and start from scratch? I've tried the factory reset and every combination of installing and uninstalling various apps I have. Even went a few days with not restoring any apps! I'm really thinking this may be software related, but could be wrong!
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy Atrix does nothing at all when I plug a USB cable into it, regardless of what the other end is plugged into (PC, wall or car). It doesn't charge; it doesn't tell me I have a USB connection, nor does my PC. However, if I reboot the phone with a USB cable plugged in, it works correctly. If it's plugged into a power source only, it charges normally. If it's plugged into a PC, when it finishes booting, there's a USB notifier in my pull-down menu, and I can interact with it as I should be able to. It charges, it syncs, it interacts with Media Link, Windows Media Player... it's just like it ought to be.The cable works (several cables, in fact). The phone works. If the phone reboots and wakes up impaled by a USB cable, everything is great, which tells me there's nothing physically wrong with the phone. It's consistent. I've tried it this way on three PCs (2 laptops and a desktop), at home, at work, and in my car.My FW and software are all up to date. I had the problem when I got the phone home, and I've done a complete factory reset, and then updated everything (or checked for updates and found software to be current) again.

I had powered it off on the plane and when i turn on...it keeps rebooting itself after the "Rethink Possible" screen ends. I let the battery drain and still after charging it keeps on rebooting. I am running the phone on "Safe Mode" and only able to run basic Android apps like Gmail, Phone, Gtalk, Camera, etc. All 3rd party apps in Safe mode do not work.

It doesn't seem to be triggered by anything specific I do with the phone. I'll just look over at my phone because it lights up and sure enough, it's restarting. It does it when I'm using it and when I'm not.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo i uninstalled the few apps ive downloaded since the 2.3.4 update and still my phone randomly shuts off and sometimes it freezes. Ill go to make a call or scroll through the screens and for no reason the screen turns black and the only thing that i can do is pull down the notification bar... i have to turn it off and back on for it to work again. My husband has the same phone and his does the same thing since the update so i dont think its a app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen playing music, the phone will lockup and then reboot. It doesn't matter what music player I use (factory, Real Player, Winamp). It doesn't matter which memory card I use (8 gb, 16 gb, 32 gb).
I have done a system reload approximately 5 times. Its done it in Android 2.2, and it has done it in 2.3.4.
Generally it will reboot within the first 10 minutes of play. After the reboot, it could play for a couple of hours before rebooting again. I've never gone more than 1 hour before the first reboot.
I have had a couple of different Podcast players, and have never had a lockup. I'm using BeyondPod right now.
Anyone have any problems with there Atrix just randomly shutting down and restarting? It's happend 2 times so far once while I was in the middle of a call and another while useing the browser.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have had my Bold 9000 for about two months. I bought it unlocked and have been using it with T-mobile. When I first got it, i upgraded it to the latest leaked os 5.0. The thing is, I had problems with it. First it would just randomly crash and restart and crash and restart, continuously tell it just drained the battery out. Sometimes, on restarts, the standard Blackberry ringtones would not work, and sometimes they would. Sometimes when it would restart after crashing it would say, "net_app_something_ (52) isnt working and was canceled". I assumed it was a bad leak and tried several different version. (and this same occurred with each OS. I would install it on my pc, on my buddy's who has an unlocked Bold 9000 on t-mobile just like me. In the end I gave up and went back to 4.6. Yesterday i tried the new, official OS 5.0.It worked at first, but then when I install the newest BBM, it started crashing again, until the battery was gone. So now I have reinstalled it, kept the standard BBM that comes with the OS. and also deleted Quickpull. thinking it might have to do with it as well. On a last weird note. It seems only to crash in the evening. In the morning it is perfectly fine, however once it passes 4pm , the crashing beings, non if this occurs with 4.6.
Any ideas? My friend and I are both lost. Sorry for the wordy post, but it is really difficult to describe the retardedness of this situation.
I have had my Atrix for about a month. The phone is fast and responsive which is really great after having a dog slow phone before this one. But I have a love/hate relationship so far. One big issue is that my music player will not keep playing, it will randomly stop playing and I half to restart it. Also sometimes the music player will cause the phone to reboot. This problom used to be really bad but I found a bug causing some of the Problems.
1. Removed Battery and waited a few minutes to reinstall battery. No change still reboots after a few minutes of using the Music Player
2. Tried downloading another music player PlayerPro to use instead of the default one. No Change still Reboots
3. Next I tried doing a Factory Data Reset. Now the default music player played for about an hour for the first time.
4. Redownloaded most of the Apps I had (At least the ones I could remember). Music Player still playing.
5. Started modifing a couple of the OS Settings>etc... Player still playing
6. Until I got to the setting Settings>Applications>Development>Check Stay Awake while Charging. Now the phone rebooted two times in less than 15 minutes while playing Music. Went back and unchecked the stay awake setting and the Music Player is playing again.So can this bug with this Stay Awake while Charging option please be fixed. I hate for the screen to cut off while I am reading a book. I can plug it in and leave the screen on as long as I want.
7. Now the music player is playing but still after 1+ hours of play time Randomly the music player will stop and/or Reboot the phone.
Last night both my Twitter & Myspace accounts that are linked to my Motoblur account stopped working. I would constantly get an account error icon in my notification bar. I changed to passwords on both accounts, I made sure email and passwords were correct a million times lol
Nothing worked with Twitter or Myspace..SO I removed both accounts from my Motoblur account, re-added my Twitter account (which is now working fine) BUT my MySpace account is still not working.
I have removed it, changed the password, then tried to re-add it just like my Twitter account problem. It still won't work! IDK what is wrong, I have even tried without WIFI on
I get this error message from MotoBlur Account Management Screen when trying to add my MySpace account "Your entry is invalid, please try again"
Now I know this is false, can someone else tell me either how to fix this or is this a problem right now with MySpace?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I create an appointment (am using the stock calendar on my Atrix), about 20% of the time it decides to use the Mountain Standard time zone instead of the Centrral Standard time zone that I am in. The time zone is set to Central in both the settings for the phone and the settings for the calendar. Anyone else seeing this problem?
Am running the latest updates and have relatively few apps installed as my phone is used for business instead of personal and fun. Also, am running on an Exchange Server, but since the calendar is setting the time zone for the appointment incorrectly (I check the time zone before even saving the appointment), it's not a prolem with the Exchange Server or with sync.
I synced all songs in my iTunes with my new Motorola Atrix 2. It downloaded all the songs to my 16gb microsd card. When I play songs on my music player with my headphones, the music will stop randomly. Some other times it won't stop and will play for a long time. I had a feeling it was somehow related to turning the screen off using the power button after I start my playlist but I am not sure about it. Again with this case, sometimes it stops and other times it would play correct. There are some apps as on my auto-end list but music player isn't one of them

Is anybody else having these issues? It shows my corporate sync messages immediately and with no issues, but the SMS usually lag behind by a few minutes or never display in the widget at all.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Corporate Sync set up with my company Exchange server for contacts only. Worked fine initially, but has been on and off again last few weeks. It is randomly not showing the Exchange contacts. At times they are all there, other times not. I'm not positive, but I think this issue started after the 1.57 upgrade. Incredibly frustrating when you're out and need to make a call and the contact isn't there.....If I update my credentials for the account, it shows "Updating service" and seems to finish fine - Not getting any password or connection errors.

I had to rebuild my media library to get rid of some "ghost " image thumbnails in the gallery. I deleted all data associated with Media Storage and rebooted.
This totally hosed up my Ring/Notification tones. Why should a rebuild of the media library make a difference?
