View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen playing music, the phone will lockup and then reboot. It doesn't matter what music player I use (factory, Real Player, Winamp). It doesn't matter which memory card I use (8 gb, 16 gb, 32 gb).
I have done a system reload approximately 5 times. Its done it in Android 2.2, and it has done it in 2.3.4.
Generally it will reboot within the first 10 minutes of play. After the reboot, it could play for a couple of hours before rebooting again. I've never gone more than 1 hour before the first reboot.
I have had a couple of different Podcast players, and have never had a lockup. I'm using BeyondPod right now.
I own the Atrix 2 and the LapDock 100, I was under the impression that once the battery died on the Lapdock, that the lapdock would run off the atrix 2 battery. Is that incorrect?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my Atrix for about a month. The phone is fast and responsive which is really great after having a dog slow phone before this one. But I have a love/hate relationship so far. One big issue is that my music player will not keep playing, it will randomly stop playing and I half to restart it. Also sometimes the music player will cause the phone to reboot. This problom used to be really bad but I found a bug causing some of the Problems.
1. Removed Battery and waited a few minutes to reinstall battery. No change still reboots after a few minutes of using the Music Player
2. Tried downloading another music player PlayerPro to use instead of the default one. No Change still Reboots
3. Next I tried doing a Factory Data Reset. Now the default music player played for about an hour for the first time.
4. Redownloaded most of the Apps I had (At least the ones I could remember). Music Player still playing.
5. Started modifing a couple of the OS Settings>etc... Player still playing
6. Until I got to the setting Settings>Applications>Development>Check Stay Awake while Charging. Now the phone rebooted two times in less than 15 minutes while playing Music. Went back and unchecked the stay awake setting and the Music Player is playing again. So can this bug with this Stay Awake while Charging option please be fixed. I hate for the screen to cut off while I am reading a book. I can plug it in and leave the screen on as long as I want.
7. Now the music player is playing but still after 1+ hours of play time Randomly the music player will stop and/or Reboot the phone.
I have noticed that the video playback, on the Lapdock, can be really clear, sharp and smooth. Other times it can be a little laggy, not as clear and blocky. (It changes between the two every 5 to 10 min.) Sometimes I've seen a message pop up that says something like, the video is not optimized for mobile. This is streaming thru Firefox, using HBO GO website. (I haven't had a chance to check this with netflix.) I've tried to let the buffers feel up for a few minutes as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy lapdock lapdock keyboard goes weird. The d escape key, control key, and several other keys that seem to be involved in the F5 key combination go dead.I have learned to trick it. I do FN-F5 and hit escape and keep hitting the combinations until escape works, then hit control-alt-d which seems to clear the issue. Is there anything I can do to stop it from going into this crazy mode.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWill the new Lapdock 100 be compatible with the Atrix 4G (not just the phones listed in the press release), since it is connected by a wire and not a dock now? Should be a simple fix/solution.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWas in an airport this week with a travel companion. Had my LapDock with me and was passing time away on the Web. My companion knew about my equipment and asked if he could use my Hotspot for his laptop. Sure I said.
Then I spent the next several minutes trying to get it to turn on. Finally took the Atrix out of the LapDock and it would turn on. Put it back in the LapDock and he stayed connected and I went back to what I was doing. Turned it off later still docked, but could not turn on again like before.
Searched around for this and found nothing about not being able to turn the HotSpot on while in the LapDock. Turns on/off fine when in my MM Dock. Running 1.8.3 stock at the moment.
I just bought the lapdock for the Atrix 4G and I think this is the first generation ($50 from AT&T). In my home network, I have a print server (Trendnet) to which 2 Epson inkjet printers are attached via the 2 USB ports.
Now when I add a printer in the lapdock, it shows me the 2 USB ports (PS-7336E9-U1 and PS7336E9-U2, both of these are standard TCP/IP ports per printer properties on my desktop. I select one of them and just shows me the Postcript or PCL drivers. when I tried to print a test page, it printed all garbage on mulitple pages, whichever of my 2 network printers. Is there a way to install the Epson inkjet drivers so that it will print properly on my lapdock.
So I'm on my third Atrix. First was within 30 day window with occasional random reboot, it was exchanged. The second was perfect up until the new OTA where I had issues with 4.5.91 installing and it was replaced with an upgraded Atrix with 4.5.91 already installed.he current one is rebooting twice daily and it's getting a little old. My question is where to I go from here? I have to be able to be contacted 24/7 for work, and got my peepee stepped on last time. So I cannot wait for an exchange. Can I reinstall 4.5.91 somehow and start from scratch? I've tried the factory reset and every combination of installing and uninstalling various apps I have. Even went a few days with not restoring any apps! I'm really thinking this may be software related, but could be wrong!
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy Atrix does nothing at all when I plug a USB cable into it, regardless of what the other end is plugged into (PC, wall or car). It doesn't charge; it doesn't tell me I have a USB connection, nor does my PC. However, if I reboot the phone with a USB cable plugged in, it works correctly. If it's plugged into a power source only, it charges normally. If it's plugged into a PC, when it finishes booting, there's a USB notifier in my pull-down menu, and I can interact with it as I should be able to. It charges, it syncs, it interacts with Media Link, Windows Media Player... it's just like it ought to be.The cable works (several cables, in fact). The phone works. If the phone reboots and wakes up impaled by a USB cable, everything is great, which tells me there's nothing physically wrong with the phone. It's consistent. I've tried it this way on three PCs (2 laptops and a desktop), at home, at work, and in my car.My FW and software are all up to date. I had the problem when I got the phone home, and I've done a complete factory reset, and then updated everything (or checked for updates and found software to be current) again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had the Atrix for about two months now, and it seems to restart/reboot randomly, I thought I should check if anyone else has seen this? Should I take it back to the AT&T store and get a replacement or does anyone know the fix to this? Maybe the upcoming update will fix my issue...
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been stuck in reboot loop for the last 2 days. I had powered it off on the plane and when i turn on...it keeps rebooting itself after the "Rethink Possible" screen ends. I let the battery drain and still after charging it keeps on rebooting. I am running the phone on "Safe Mode" and only able to run basic Android apps like Gmail, Phone, Gtalk, Camera, etc. All 3rd party apps in Safe mode do not work.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi bought atrix just 2 days back and now it's started showing lot of problems.1) When i press power button to turn the display off phone becomes unresponsive) when i tried to remove some of the application i can't as uninstall button itself is disabled3) every now and then either application is not loading or running applicaitons are crashing4) phone has started behaving strangely as it reboots on its own and hang on its own sometimes.I called my carrier and they were clueless so asked they'll come back in 2 hours time.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot find a way to get an Android app that runs successfully on my Atrix to display anywhere on the LapDock screen - except in the small "Mobile View" window. One reason for buying the LapDock was to run apps with more screen real-estate. The AT&T store guy assured me the phone+lapdock combo could do that, pointing to the browser and the file manager.
If they cannot do that - or the APIs to allow that are "unavailable", that is an overwhelmingly disappointing product restriction.
Is there any way to use Lapdock speakers for phone calls and Skype audio? Does Lapdock also have a microphone and could it be used instead of phone microphone for calls? I am using Lapdock 500 + Razr.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1 recently using Sony updates. However I am having a strange problem now. The phone shuts down when pulled out of a power source though battery status is above 80%. If I plug back the phone into a power supply and restart, I am able to use the phone without any problem. Is my battery dead? It has been about 1.5 years now with this phone. Tried restarting in safe mode as well but the phone still shut down when pulled out of power supply.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe OTA 2.3.6 update for the atrix is causing my phone to crash and reboot constantly and is stuck in a boot loop. My phone is stock, I have never attempted to root it or do anything like that. I am attempting to do a data reset on the phone but it crashes before the reset can start.
View 15 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try and run Netflix when docked in the Lapdock 500 I can start and view video, but when I try and go back to my Netflix queue my phone reboots. This has happened to me everytime I have tried it. I love the lapdock and would love to reliably be able to use it to view Netflix content, but this issue makes that very difficult.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWas working fine before the update. Rarely locked up, maybe rebooted on its own once, ever.Today, I am simply listening to music, and the phone keeps stopping out of the blue and reboots. Happening on local music (played w/Meridian app), Rhapsody, and Pandora. Pandora was the only app I'd installed since the update, and thought maybe it'd caused problems, so it's been uninstalled.Re-seated SD card, pulled batt. a few times, still randomly rebooting.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my Motorola photon 4g since I bought it (2 months old now). It may reboots when I am trying to make a phone call. It happens everyday randomly and it is getting worse. If one day I need to make an emergency, I may need to wait a few minutes for it to boot up (lol) before I can use it. I have used Palm treo phone for many year and never have any problem. I went to sprint service center and the sprint technician reset it but it still has the same problem. I will come back to Sprint again for service. FYI, I will update this post soon I have more info.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had something new start happening to my phone. In both instances, I was streaming music (Pandora), with the phone not plugged into the charger (usb to computer) like I normally do. When the phone battery was starting to get low, (about 40%), the phone shuts completely off. When this happens, the phone doesn't respond to the power button right away, it takes 2-3 minutes and/or a battery pull to get it to boot up again. Anyone else dealt with this or seen this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently switched to a XPRT and have been having a problem with the phone audio (speaker, earpiece and mic) that requires me to reboot the phone EVERYDAYAll other audio functions work properly. Speaker for music, notifications, phone rings...but when i try to make or receive a call, there is no audio on my end (whether on speaker, earpiece or bluetooth) and the microphone is dead as well. The only way to resolve this issue is to power cycle (reboot) the phone. THIS HAPPENS EVERYDAY!
View 15 Replies View RelatedI tried registering and I get a message that my serial number can't be found in the system. Its a 15 digit alpha numberic number on the back of the lapdock, then some space and 4 numbers. The field only let's me put in the 15, not the 4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had 9 apps opened on the phone with firefox running three windows and a video playing before i finally got the low memory warning.. that's a definite improvemnt.. anyone else have any reports on the lapdock after the update.. I ran out of battery on the LD before I had a chance to see if it would freeze the phone up..
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen connecting my Atrix 4G to my lapdock, (which I just received today), I get the picker on my phone, which indicates that only HDMI is being seen by the dock, and no USB. I have no aftermarket cover on my phone, have tried removing the Motorola battery cover from the phone and fit plate from the lapdock to get a better USB connection, but just can't get a USB connection, or so it seems. I know when I plug the phone in and open the lapdock it should just go right to Webtop, but I get the red M screensaver till I select an option on the phone. The when I select Webtop I get the touchpad on the phone which works. Also get no audio from the lapdock speakers if I play music, but when I unplug the phone the music starts playing from the phone speaker. One time out of many, maybe 50+ now, I saw a USB devices detected message on the lapdock screen, but only the one time.
