It seems that the messaging widget rarely/randomly displays new text messages. This is after updating to build 4.5.91 through the SOAK testing. Is anybody else having these issues? It shows my corporate sync messages immediately and with no issues, but the SMS usually lag behind by a few minutes or never display in the widget at all.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my Atrix 4g with AT&T. I'm having a problem with text messaging. I'm not for certain (hadn't noticed), but I think my phone was not originally doing this and it started about a week after I got it.What happens is that all images I receive in MMS text messages, appear to be the same image. Say I received a picture of a dog from one contact. All future images received, from all contacts, appear as the exact same picture of the dog. However, if I hold my finger down on the image and select "view picture", the picture will display correctly. If I save it to my gallery, etc, it appears correctly. But it continues to display incorrectly in the text messaging conversation itself.I tried rebooting my phone, and all this did was update the "universal" image to the most recent image I received. All images were still displaying the same thing. I've also tried Googling this problem and haven't found anything about it so far.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to fing out what happened to the ability to select multiple contact to send or forward a text message or email by ticking the "head" icon, which brings up your phone contacts list and then checking off the contacts you want to send to. All I can see is you have to select them one at a time using auto complete in the "to" field. Is there a way to select them like we used to? If not, then when can I expect Moto to send an update that fixes this? This was an option on all previous Adroid releases, so why is not there now? I know I can create groups, but that is just ignorant, I dont send to the same people every time, so groups are a waste of time.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi already had a moto defy that could support delivery reports in text messaging,now im on Atrix, my device is international, but there was not any option to activate delivery reports on sms setting,so i installed sql editor from market & changed the value of "sms-mms-delivery-reports" from 0 to 1the option discovered in sms setting but it didnt work (attached photo)also i tested other apps like GoSmS & ... but they didnt work too,i've tested this method on froyo and also othet 2.3.4 roms based on 4.5.91 AT&T and 2.3.4ORFR, but nothing at all,why moto have missed this trivial option in a high end smartphone?this is critical for me & i dont want to sell my phone just for this, i love moto, i love my atrix, but what should i do?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to reinstall the stock text messaging app on the Atrix 2? Since day one the app will link to the wrong message from the preview, either in the Universal Inbox, the Notifications, or the Text Messages list. A reboot of the device corrects the problem temporarily, but it always returns.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that some times when I get text messages from certain contacts, the way it shows up on my informs me that it was sent to myself and X amount of people (and I can view those numbers/contacts if I have them). But what's annoying is when I try to reply to "said person" it replies to all contacts that recieve the message. Now if I hold down the message and get options, I can view the details and open the message/delete the message, and I can Reply to All... but it never lets me just reply to that person. There is no option for it. I just reply and they all get it.
Like I stated before, this is not every time I get a mass text message from someone. Some of my friends have iPhone 4s so I tested it last night with a friend sending out a text to two of us and when I received it there was no indication that it had been sent to multiple people. Also have another friend that does this a lot with his Droid 2, no issue with his either. I'm wondering if this is happening because of the way it's being sent to me (and others) but even if I can see who else it was sent to, I'd still like the option to just reply to one person.Any advice on this? I foresee people telling me to get another text messaging app though which makes me think AT&T/Motorola should really add a lot more features to their text messaging app just incase of the people that would like options..
Is there anyway to perform a line break, or return character, while texting people? Been a couple times where I wanted to text something on different lines and didn't want to sit there using spacebar to get to a new line (waste of space/time). I know there are other messaging programs out there and that certain apps allow character returns (like Facebook for Android) because I'd rather have that than the stupid smiley faces...
View 15 Replies View Relatedurl...My Xoom has done it again..I left it charging last night.When I took it off the charger this morning and pressed the power button, the screen would not turn on.Tried again to press power and still it wouldn't turn on the display.Only the notification light was blinking.So I was forced to hard reboot the device via Power and Vol+.When the device rebooted, the encryption unlock screen was displayed:Anyone have a clue how this would continue to occur? My device was not currently encrypted.I did encrypt it successfully once about a month or so ago, but didn't like the performance nor having to type my password each time to unlock the device. So I perfromed a Master Reset / Factory Data Reset.The device has been functioning fine up until today.

On several occasions my wife has not received my text messages. (It happens every now and then.) I see the receipt, on my phone, that it was sent to her, but she didn't receive it. Does that mean there is something wrong with my phone or her's. I use Handcent SMS app. and my wife has a Palm Pre Plus phone. Note: This happened a few times with my backflip too.

I have noticed that Motoblur does allow for syncing Podcast, Videos, Photos, and Music, however; I have not found the ability to sync my text Messages. Please tell me if it is possible to do this, and if not , is there any other way to tranfer my text messages from my Atrix4g to my laptop? I once had a Nokia and used OVI suite to sync text message to my laptop. This was a very usefull feature as it provided a means of permanently keeping all text mesages.

I have one annoying issue that I couldn't find at various forums and the moto customer support couln't help with. I have an audi s8 2007. The phone connects fine to the audi bluetooth but once the Atrix screen sleeps, the number of the signal bars displayed on the car's screen freezes. If I wake the Atrix screen the car screen immediately displays the correct signal bars but freezes again once the Atrix screen sleeps. I have tested that extensively and it is related to the Atrix screen sleeping. The car screen displays signal bars in areas where there is no signal and it will show one bar in areas where there is 5 bars. Any ideas on what setting on the phone may be affecting this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis weekend I noticed that my calendar widget was falling a day behind. I deleted it from my homescreen and then tried to add it back. It brings up the configuration screen, but it refuses to add it to my homescreen, even if I try it on an entirely blank homescreen. I use launcherpro, but it hasn't had a recent update, and I have never had an issue before. I have tried restarting to no avail.

Finally, If I try to edit my account info the account menu, I see the following two fields, which I cannot edit, which is followed by this message after hitting ok:
I have re-entered the information several times, restarted the device several times, and all my data delivery options have been clicked or unclicked during several trials. The apps accompanying widgets only option is to "add a social network" not unlike the first screencap.
I've subscript with [URL] RSS feed before. But for some reason, i've removed the news widget, and now, when i create the news widget again, i can't subscipt to the RSS feed. i've tried inputing the website to custom feed, and also from the browser, click on the RSS icon and add to news widget.i just have the loading wheel spinning for a long time. I can tap the back button and it will shows up, but no news feed.And i was trying to add some RSS feed from kotaku.com, and i received an error message. Now i've lost the tip and tricks subscription and digg feed. And i can't add any feed at the moment.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe had our Fall time change Saturday, and my HTC One M8 failed to adjust for daylight savings. Well, parts of it failed.
The small time display next to the battery meter is correct.
The large time display in the Sense 6 widget is one hour ahead. When the screen is locked, the time is displayed correctly, but when the phone is unlocked, the time is displayed one hour ahead. They're probably two separate widgets? Tap the Sense 6 widget, and the local time on the world clock page is also one hour ahead.
Any way to get the Sense 6 widget to display the correct time?
My phone recently decided that it was going to label the social widget in french but nothing else. It doesn't changed anything else into french though, and as far as I can tell doesn't cause any other issues, it's mostly just annoying. I have already tried rebooting the phone and nothing changed.
