When I'm sending texts, I like to break apart ideas into separate paragraphs. But instead of having an enter key, I have a smiley face button. Is there a way to switch it back to an enter key?

Camera - can't stop the camera shutter sound in either silent or sound on mode.Have tried Home Page > Camera > Settings > and unchecked the 'Capture Tone' box. View 1 Replies View RelatedAs soon as my phone had installed the latest update, i lost the ability to send or receive text messages. The only time I can send or receive is if i am on a phone call. As soon as the call is done, my text messaging is non-functional. I have no issues with calls/internet browsing/apps...just text messaging.
Furthermore, i do not know if this a phone issue or an AT&T issue.
My Atrix was working just fine for the past month, and this morning all of a sudden I'm not getting ANY signal/reception. I can't make phone calls nor send texts. Sometimes the signal comes back but it's just for 2 or 3 minutes and then the signal is completely gone again. When I plug the SIM card into another phone it works just fine so that rules out AT&T's problem. Wi-fi works just fine. I factory reset the phone but the problem still exists. I am already out of the 30-day return/exchange policy, what can I do? Is this problem going to be fixed for the next update?

Is text messaging. If I try to send an outgoing text at the same time that one is incoming it will not send the outgoing message. It will struggle for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (or even more) and eventually time out with a 'text was not sent' error message. For someone like me who sends thousands of texts a month it's the most annoying thing ever! Other phones do not have this problem.
Also the time stamp for texts does not work if the phone is powered off. For example: I turn my phone off at midnight and someone sends me a text at 1:00 AM. I turn my phone back on at 8AM. The text arrives but does not have the correct time stamp as being sent at 1:00 AM. It will be shown as 8AM. So I have no idea what time the message was actually sent. Once again other phones I have used did not have this problem.
id like to buy one of those over 3000mah batteries for my atrix 2 , but where i live i can only find this batteries for the atrix 4g and im not sure if it works on the atrix 2.
View 7 Replies View Relatedwhen I am using the qwerty keyboard (not touch screen) it is either not responding when I press a letter, or after several presses, when it does eventually respond, it displays a letter or character different from what I am pressing. Its basically to the point where my keyboard is useless. I have to hit the same key at least 5 times before it shows anything. It will sometimes skip letters that I'm typing and just display the next character. for example, I can be typing SLOWLY, hitting one at a time, spelling t-e-x-t and it will show up e-t, or something along those lines. Ill backspace to go back to the beginning to add in the missing letter and Ill hit T over and over and over till it eventually shows up, or some random character will show up.
View 12 Replies View Relatedso I've been waiting for an update to the update to fix all the little quirks i have had since the GB update....but this just started about a week ago and i cant wait for a general fix.....when i type in a txt or on a web page the keyboard shuts off.....it seems to happen when i finish a word and hit the space bar to move on.....i thought it had some thing to do with the auto guess of the next word but i don't know how to turn it off to check it out.....i have restarted the phone.....i removed apps that updated since the problem started......tried may things short of a factory reset.......

It now takes time for the tablet to realise I am trying to switch screen if I try and swipe between home screens, but the graphics are faster than previously which is odd. The major problem for me is that typing has slowed down and become less responsive. I just tried to buy an app from the Android market, and it couldn't keep up with me putting my card number in. I then tried to type in other applications to see if it was just typing generally that was causing the problem which it is. Restart did not fix it either. This effectively makes the tablet unusable for me as the typing speed is unreasonably slow.

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday, all of a sudden, when texting, imputting text into a chat client or into face book, the applications would freeze after about 2 words max. For instance, I'd type "I'll meet...." and the applications would freeze right after I hit space after "meet," to go onto the next word. In texting, I'd be able to go back to my home screen and then go back to the text and finish it bit by bit, but this wouldn't work for IMO or Facebook. If i stayed on the screens for those apps, they would ask me to force close due to not responding. I've tried keeping my phone on until it dies, keeping it off for an extended period of time, but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else had this issue and been able to fix it? It really just happened all of the sudden in the middle of the day.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got the DX2 and have had it freeze on me when I'm typing on the keyboard. Initially, with the default keyboard settings, it would freeze on me whenever I put a space in between words after like the 3rd word typed. THEN, after removing the auto-correct function from the keyboard settings I solved that problem. Now, whenever I type a string of "!!!" or "..." it freezes the keyboard on me. The only way to get the phone back up is a reboot.
Secondly, I have received numerous duplicate text messages (as many as 7) of incoming texts from multiple different users in different areas of the country. I was in 3G coverage areas with excellent bars at the time so I'm not sure why this would happen. I also checked on this with my verizon bill and I'm being billed for these duplicate messages! NOT COOL.
improve the design of all motorola droid phones with qwerty keyboards, to make it even more attractive to former blackberry users. i am a person who switched from blackberry to the motorola pro+ which has exactly the same keyboard as admiral, but the admiral is more popular.
problem: during fast typing on a motorola phone, accidentally pressing a button (such as search) will cause an interruption. this can be annoying if this happens repeatedly while writing a long email on the phone. the button bar is very close to the keyboad. fast typists (me on Internet: 75 wpm on phone) get frustrated, when they mistype a key that causes an interruption. this interruption flaw even more frustrating for good thumb typists that can type without looking. business users and power users are the ones that give recommendations about phones, so this would be a useful to address.
the buttons (zenu/home/back/search), and the microphone button, should be automatically disabled (for a brief moment, like 1/2 second) when typing is detected. that way, accidental presses of the buttons during fast buttons, don't cause an interruption while typing an email or text message. this could be a configurable setting, to accomodate different users.this would be a relatively unobtrusive improvement to the phone software. people don't generally hit buttons mere milliseconds after pressing keyboard keys. when the user stops fast typing, the buttons are automatically reenabled.(the delay can be extremely brief, such as 500 milliseconds or less.) so that users won't notice this change except for dramatically reduced interruptions == this could mean more good reviews for motorola keyboard phones!
precedent: the apple iphone does a similiar trick for the microphone button in its on-screen keyboarrd, if you're typing fast, then accidentally pressing the microphone button doesn't interrupt you.i would like motorola to make this improvement, or perhaps help google add this improvement to future versions of android, for future physical-keybaord phones.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe bottom bar (Start Bar, Tool Bar, whatever it's called) continues to cause problems for me while typing. The keyboard comes up, and when I hit bottom-row keys often times my finger will either hit, or register as hitting, the Start Bar. Mid-sentence I often find myself looking at my Home screen, or I'm suddenly in another app.
Is there a setting somewhere such that when the keyboar pops up it will cover the Start Bar? I just got my Xoom and love it apart from this.
Just bought a new Razr Maxx. Running Android version 4.0.4. I'd like to be able to turn off the vibrate when I am typing on the keypad. I have gone to the System Settings/Sound and the "Vibrate on touch" is unchecked. Is this the correct way to disable vibration when I type on the keypad? Or is this something that cannot be controlled?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I am typing in any field where a separate typing box comes up (like "Talk" or typing an email, where you type, see a preview, and then hit DONE or something similar to go back to the point where you can actually send your email or your message, but not like normal SMS messages where you type and send it right away), I constantly get this weird bug.
I'll get like a double-click sound, and then if I keep typing, nothing appears in the preview box, although it actually does keep appearing in the actual message (which you can sometimes see behind the preview box). Also when that double-click sound occurs, signalling the beginning of the bug, the last couple letters I typed won't have entered properly at all.
Also is there a way to quickly turn off media sounds? I've tried to turn off all the sounds for keyboard clicking itself in Settings, but it still stays loud unless I turn down the media sounds, which I can usually only do if I'm actually in a media environment...
