Navigation automatically closes when Atrix goes to sleep, which is a pain while driving. The only solution is to wake up the phone, restart the navigation.
I have a HTC Incredible also and do not have the same problem on that device. FYI: I am on the latest system version 4.1.83
My Atrix shuts down when it goes to sleep, even on a completely full charge. I have done a factory reset (didn't fix it), hard reset, soft reset and pulled the battery and left it out. The only thing that stops it at times is to reload it through the Motorola Software Update on my PC. After that, it works flawlessly for about a day, then after charging it all night, I unplug it and it starts all over again.
Before it shuts down, (if you can catch it) it vibrates. If you hit the power button really quick before it cuts off, you can see on the screen that it has a low battery warning and the battery indicator will be red and showing it as drained, and the phone will cut off. When you turn it back on, the battery is back to where the charge was before it does the sleep/shut off. This cycle continues until I reload the software, then it works for about a day until I have to charge it again.
Bluetooth ear bud will not work once sc. Have tried unpairing, turning off device, and rebooting.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently having issues with my Atrix 4G since the start of the New Year (2012). I have had the phone since July with no problems, but not i hear and sense feedback, but it takes over a minute for the phone to reawaken from sleep mode (screen to turn on to the unlock screen).
Once it does, I see the cellular signal strength icon showing it was disconnected and trying to re-acquire the cell netwrok (not the wifi part, the AT&T part).
This long delay puts a real damper on how I can use the phone to make a quick call, or snap a random photo to capture a moment.
Once I'm in, however, it'll work fine for a while, and then if I am NOT using wifi, it may lock up the screen refresh (I get haptic and audio feedback on my taps until the buffer fills, but screen freezes and even turing the unit off does not shut the screen) and sometimes it'll be minutes before I see the cell signal thing do the same thing, or I just get tired of waiting and pull the battery.
if this is a settings thing or a hardware or OS issue. My phone is under warranty, but I don't want to swap it out without knowing if there's a fix. I hate to get a new phone and find out it's happening again.
I have set my Wifi Sleep Policy to "Never", because i like to strem my music with DLNA App to my HiFi, and i'm also downloading with Torrent App some TV Shows.Music Streamin works fine with Original DLNA app from Atrix, but only until the Display turns off. Then it stoped everything.I also set DLNA to never sleep and i also tried Battery set to "Performace". It simply doesn't work.With Torrent app from the Market also the same problem. I tried several apps. After the display is turned off there are no transfers.I own also Samsung Galaxy Tablet. With this device i don't have any of these problems.The funny thing is that the original DLNA app from Atrix simply don't stream the music after the display turnes off.

For the past couple of days my gps on my phone won't work. When I use the navigation it just says searching for gps but will not lock on and give me turn by turn directions. Have tried turn off/on. Especially when my buddy is right next to me in the car using google maps on his iPhone and his works great. We both have at&t.

I have rebooted and even done a battery pull. I have avoided doing a full reset in the hopes someone here knows a fix for this.

The bluetooth works perfectly with the phone but the directions for the navigation won't come through. I don't have an aux plug on my car radio. Its been going on for hours. I've tried looking in settings etc. to see if I did anything to change this, but can't find a reason for it.I allow the phone to go into sleep mode. And then when the time changes to each next minute it flashes for a second or two then goes back to sleep. How do I stop it from doing this? This is new as of this evening. I use my phone as my alarm clock so it will be very annoying to try to sleep with this thing lighting up every minute.

After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

After that I wanted to check the map update and when I open the Nokia maps it just shows that application is open and then after 3-5 seconds it closes. I really need to use Nokia maps.

By itself.I've turned the screensaver OFF, the energy saver OFF, and hit the ZC setting "Never go to sleep." Today the screen will not go to sleep/time out. i checked the settings, it was still set to one minute, so i changed it to 30 seconds ..didnt help. I did a battery pull.Screen on. When I do click sleep, the screen goes black, like it should, but I cannot bring my phone out of it. THe only way I can turn my phone on is if I plug it in for charging or if I do a battery pull.Is the phone defective, or is this a known software issue?
