I have had a lot of the challenges I have read about since the latest update: battery overheating, phone rebooting at random times, and most annoying- no more indicator light. Not even when charging.

Can someone let me know where I can procure this flex cable in the US? Is it available for online ordering?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust recently my voice-dial over my bluetooth stopped working - when I hit the button on my headset, all it does it redial the last number I had dialed. I'm not aware of any phone updates since it last worked. I've powered the phone off and on and still no luck. It was bad enough when I had to "wake it up" in order to use it. This is very frustrating - when I'm driving, I'm on the highway. I'm not stopping regularly for traffic lights so I can dial!

I tried remove and add my Picasa account again. When I go to Gallery and refresh, a message came up and said "This action cannot be completed."
Last night both my Twitter & Myspace accounts that are linked to my Motoblur account stopped working. I would constantly get an account error icon in my notification bar. I changed to passwords on both accounts, I made sure email and passwords were correct a million times lol
Nothing worked with Twitter or Myspace..SO I removed both accounts from my Motoblur account, re-added my Twitter account (which is now working fine) BUT my MySpace account is still not working.
I have removed it, changed the password, then tried to re-add it just like my Twitter account problem. It still won't work! IDK what is wrong, I have even tried without WIFI on
I get this error message from MotoBlur Account Management Screen when trying to add my MySpace account "Your entry is invalid, please try again"
Now I know this is false, can someone else tell me either how to fix this or is this a problem right now with MySpace?
My phone is constantly over heating (only when I am not using it) to the point it gets hot as a stove literally. And the bad thing is after the 5 overheat my Camera does not work any more which is a problem because the is my most used feature. My aunt said the reason it overheats is because its trying hard to look for signal. No mods, no root, only one sideloaded app.

Very happy with this phone.After the last upgrate of Android (2.3.4), I started having problems with the camera. Sometimes, I get the following message:"Sorry! The application Camera (process com.motorola.Camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".The only option is to click on "Force close". However, I can try as many times I want to run the camera app and I keep getting the same message, and not being able to use the camera at all. The only solution is to restart my cell phone which is very inconvinient.

So I uninstalled the app and now the LED notification light does not blink when it is in screen off mode. It blinks twice when you lock it, then the notifications stop. HELP! View 8 Replies View Related1. I installed the MLB At-Bat '12 app and noticed the sound quality is not good. I have sent feedback to the maker of the app, but not sure what the problem is. It reminds me of playing a cassette at a slightly slower speed (I know, some of you are going to say "What the heck is a cassette?"). The announcers voices are off, like their voice got deeper and are speaking slower. Not sure if this is an audio driver issue or app issue. Doesn't matter if its on wi-fi or not.2. lately my phone has been active very laggy. Switching screens is slow, sometimes the icons take a second to show up, and god forbid I am listening to music from my sd card, because it will get the skips.
3. I was taking some video this week and on two seperate days the screen froze for a couple seconds then showed action again. When I playback the video it skipped at that point, as if a couple seconds was chopped out. So it wasn't that the screen froze, it appears the process stopped. I got a force close error also. The first time, I rebooted my phone, then my phone decided that wasn't good enough and rebooted again on its own. The second time it happened I rebooted, only once this time, and it recorded normally after that.
Quite a few of these issues can be corrected by going in to the task manager and ending task on apps that are loaded but not being used. However they just come right back, so it is almost pointless. Before you ask, I have done a couple factory resets along with a cache wipe a couple months ago. It is a real pita getting the phone set back up the way I had an d I dont want to do it again anytime soon. I dont have a lot of unnecessary apps installed, but I do have quite a few, and I use them. It doesn't matter whether I am on wi-fi, have gps on, or bluetooth on.
I really had planned on this being the last phone I buy for quite a while, even buying the car dock and hd dock. I am starting to get concerned that the "most powerful smartphone on the planet" isn't going to last and cant handle mundane tasks. I suppose if I was just goint to text and make calls, it will, but while a lot of the issues are really just small things that are an annoyance rather than a hinderance, it will most likely affect my decision on how long I keep it. I really hope care was taken to develop ICS to help with the issues being seen on this site. It is too bad that those of us with issues cant have our phones be the test-beds for the development, rather than the phones they are using in the lab that most likely have never had an issue.
Anytime I connect my 16 GB MotoActv to my computer, it starts MotoCast USB and then errors out close to completion with the following message, "MML has stopped working". I have submitted an email to supportforums@motorola.com with the .dmp and debug view files and received the following response:[URL]I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the Motorola Device Manager and MotoCast as well as replacing the MML.exe, DevConnMon.dll, and NFileCacheDBAccess.dll files located at C:Program FilesMotorola Media LinkLite, but this didn't resolve the issue. I am running Windows 7 64 bit with all the latest patches.

When I press the item "Create or Sign In" I get a message saying I can only have one Motocast ID at a time. I am not attempting to setup a second ID, I simply want to continue using the one I was using. When I look under Applications, I see two instances of Motocast, neither of which allow me to uninstall. Is there any way to get my Motocast working again?

The phone ringer stopped working and I have to completely shut off the phone and turn it back on to get it to work, but then it will randomly stop working again. Also, the camera will take a picture but when you go to the gallery the picture is not there and it just shows a generic icon. I've done a factory reset on the phone twice and the issues keep coming back.

I have uninstalled the program and re-installed a new version of it, but that doesn't seem to work. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have downloaded a patch that I replaced, even though when I tried to replace it the computer told me I required administrator authorization. However when I proceeded with this action it seems to have replaced the old one with the new one.I have no idea what to do, nor know where to find the problem in writing to post somewhere. My computer knowledge is very limited.

I know all my settings are correct. It isnt that a password was changed. With the same settings I am still able to sync the email on my Xoom. So I dont know why it wont work on my phone.
Ive tried deleted the whole account and re-adding it. When I put everything in, it acts like all is well, no errors. But when I go to the email and hit refresh I just keep getting the 'Connection error'?
I got the 3.1 OTA update yesterday afternoon on my WiFi Xoom, but since then, the Xoom won't charge. When plugged in, the charging indicator doesn't light and the battery icon in the notification area doesn't indicate charging. Charging worked fine before the update.What I've tried so far to no avail:
Different outlets
Wiggling the connector
Power off/on
Factory reset
Unfortunately, I don't have another charger to try.Given that a factory reset didn't fix it and others aren't reporting this issue, I'm guessing that it's just a conincidence that charging died after the update and something is broken either in the charger or the Zoom's charging circuitry.
I have been using Atrix for about 6 months now and have suddenly faced an issue. If I press the search button while browsing through applications, I get the following error:"The application Home (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."After I am forced to "force close" this, automatically all recently used (probably running) apps get started. To elaborate on the problem. It occurs every time I perform following steps.
1. I'm on the home screen
2. Press the Apps button (to view all installed apps)
3. Press the search button
Effects:
1. Error pop-up : Application Home has stopped unexpectedly (Exact message given above)
2. Click on "Force Close" button on the error popup
3. Screen blanks out for a couple of seconds and the home screen reappears. In case any other applications are running in the background originally, then all those apps start ie they occupy the screen (instead of home screen).
Icsce I upgraded my Atrix 2 to ics, the compass has not been working with any program.
