Motorola Atrix 4G :: Didn't Send RMA Number?
Mar 13, 2012I just sent my atrix off for repairs today and I didn't put my RMA number in or on the box, I shipped it through ups. WIll it be ok or will it be returned to me?

Jan 25, 2013is there a maximum number of folders that can be synced from Exchange server to Motorola Atrix HD active sync ?
I have an issue to sync like 80+ folders from the mailbox and it is about 500 MB. Maybe an issue with the structure of folders ?
I have tried to move one subfolder containing like 30 folders from Mailbox to a root and then back.

Aug 4, 2011Since the gingerbread upgrade I've noticed that a number of applications appear to go away or get dropped from the app draw (though sometimes there's evidence of the application in the app manager with names such as "kov.gallery.dxtwo" instead of "Droid X2 wallpapers" which is missing from the wallpaper gallery). I've had to install the following applications today after looking for an app I knew I ran just the day before but could not find any longer: Android Status Droid DX2 wallpapers-Motorola XOOM wallpapers- GzOne Gallery Commando wallpapers- Space Junk Satellite AR- NASA app- Extensive Notes (don't remember if I paid for the Pro version but I did not find a receipt)

I've tried every port I can find suggest ed with and without security. 465, 80, 25, 3535, & 587. Anyone have this problem. I can't stand the godaddy app and don't use the standard email app

Apr 3, 2012I have two e-mail accounts configured on my Atrix 2. One is a GMail account configured in the "GMail" App. The other is a Time Warner Road Runner account configured in the "EMail" App.The GMail account works fine. I can send and receive e-mail over 3G/4G and WiFi.However, the Road Runner account will not send e-mail when connected via 3G/4G. I can receive e-mailjust fine and I can send and receive just fine when connected via WiFi.When I try to send an e-mail over 3G/4G, I get a notification that says "Road Runner message not sent. Tap to view message."

Jun 9, 2011I've had my Atrix for a few days now and love it apart from the fact that I can't seem to get it to send group texts efficiently. This is a major part of my business so I really need to be able to get it to work. I currently have all of my contacts syncing between my Google account and the Atrix which is working well.
I set up a group in my google contacts which, again, synced fine. I have installed around 5 different apps from the Market which say that they will send group sms easily (including Handcent and Chompsms). The main problem I had with most of them is that they didn't use the mobile number of the contact as the primary number (even though I went through each contact and set the mobile number as primary!) so it was trying to send a text to a house phone.
I then created three separate groups on the Atrix (which is a bit of a pain as I'd like to be able to send it to all the contacts in one go) and then sent the same text to each of the groups using the standard app on the phone. This seemed to work fine for the first two groups, then I got an error when sending to the last group. saying that there were "a large number of texts being sent" and I had to press "ok" or cancel. I still wanted to send the text out, so pressed "ok" for all 30 of the contacts. It then seemed to send the text twice to some contacts which they weren't happy with!
I then left it and thought it was ok. I looked online for the "large number of texts" error as I can't have the phone sending the same text to the same contacts all the time or having to press "ok" 100 times! It seems that there is no clear answer as to why the error appears though some people are thinking it's because there is a limit on the phone of 100/sms per hour but I'm not sure if that's the case. I just need the error to go away and not ask me to press anything?!
To add to the problem, I've turned my phone on this morning and it's just sent the same text from last night to most of my contacts - some of them twice!! It was 6am here so I'm not sure any of my clients will be happy with that!
I really do love this phone but this is the one thing that should be easy to do and I've wasted so much time trying to do it. I've come from a BlackBerry which was horrible and nothing like the lovely Atrix BUT as I send numerous group texts each week, the BB can do this easily with no fuss and the Atrix is really struggling.
I'm going to give Motorola a call when they wake up and will check with my service provider that it's nothing they have set up (but the sim and contract is straight from the BB so can't think that that's a problem) and see what they can do to help but wanted to see if you guys had any ideas...

Oct 22, 2011I set the account up fine using automatic settings. Receives mail but will not send it. For some reason you cannot access the mail server settings like you can with the other accounts.

Aug 26, 2011I retired my Blackberry to get on board the smart phone train and after 2 1/2 weeks with my Atrix 4G I am barely able to use e-mail. I'm not a techie but fairly competent with a post grad education and spent over 2 hours with a true techno geek that could not find a solution that only after spending a couple hours in the local AT&T retail center with their gurus trying to determine if the phone was defective.
After reading dozens of posts on outgoing e-mail problems, there are so many different issues that I cannot believe AT&T can market this phone "for the business man" T can market this phone T can market this phone

Sep 9, 2011I can receive email just fine from my Atrix 4G phone, but I can't reply or send an email. It tries to go, but then I get a message that says it wasn't sent. I have gotten with our IT person, and all the settings seem to be right. Others aren't haveing problems sending from thier phones.

Sep 17, 2012As soon as my phone had installed the latest update, i lost the ability to send or receive text messages. The only time I can send or receive is if i am on a phone call. As soon as the call is done, my text messaging is non-functional. I have no issues with calls/internet browsing/apps...just text messaging.

Nov 7, 2011My very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.

May 13, 2011my phone takes very very long time to send pictures on phone via gmail. I have sort of good connection and i tested uploading pics on facebook and picasa with out any problem, but with gmail it just stays at sending and some times it even don't show that status in gmail client. May 24, 2012I just registered my brand new DROID4, and I'm excited to take part of the Motorola Feedback Network. I did register, opt-in, and I didn't receive any email confirmation like I had previously with my DROID3.Also, I noticed on my Profile, that it had added an extra '6' to my serial number, which I thought was odd, so I modded my profile to have the correct serial number (HEX). Not sure if that's a bug or if anyone else has noticed that. I had double checked my input *TWICE* before submitting it, so it wasn't a typo.
With ICS for the D4 getting closer, I wanted to take part in the soak test, but I'm not sure how I can verify that my phone has properly been registered so I can take part in it. With the (2) "leaks" floating around the net, I figured Moto must be getting close to releasing the soak test,I have a Car Dock, and the 'Universal' HD Dock. I also use the Motorola Car Finder (which is a bit buggy, but incredibly useful app) I can provide good feedback, and I look forward to ICS. I was actually running it on my D3 for a while, and can say that ICS is awesome

Mar 16, 2012This morning was the second time in two months that the alarm clock on my phone didn't work. I've had my RAZR MAXX since the first week it was released, and I use it as my alarm clock every weekday. Most days it works just like it's supposed to, but this morning (and once probably a month ago), it never went off. When I unlocked the phone, the icon was in the Notification Bar as if it had been snoozed, but it had never gone off. My wife was already awake, and it was already about a half-hour past when it should have gone off, so I know I didn't press snooze.

Feb 21, 2012'bog standard' defy's screen didn't activate when I was called, it rang but the screen didn't react to tapping or swiping, I was able to answer the call by pressing the on off button (seems to have woken the phone up) but then no swiping was required the call was directly active!?This has only happened a couple of times, I do have a screen foil on, but this has a cut out where the sensor is for the 'up to ear detection'.
