I've been trying to set up a godaddy account with my ATRIX email via Motorola accounts. I can receive mail fine, but it won't send any messages.
I've tried every port I can find suggest ed with and without security. 465, 80, 25, 3535, & 587. Anyone have this problem. I can't stand the godaddy app and don't use the standard email app
im having problem sending pictures i dont know what is the problem. When i send a picture to someome phone by text it wont do it it just send me the picture back with a x.

Now I get emails to both programs and notifications also. It's a pain getting the additional email notifications and I cannot turn off or delete the orginal program. One is a GMail account configured in the "GMail" App. The other is a Time Warner Road Runner account configured in the "EMail" App.The GMail account works fine. I can send and receive e-mail over 3G/4G and WiFi.However, the Road Runner account will not send e-mail when connected via 3G/4G. I can receive e-mailjust fine and I can send and receive just fine when connected via WiFi.When I try to send an e-mail over 3G/4G, I get a notification that says "Road Runner message not sent. Tap to view message."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Atrix for a few days now and love it apart from the fact that I can't seem to get it to send group texts efficiently. This is a major part of my business so I really need to be able to get it to work. I currently have all of my contacts syncing between my Google account and the Atrix which is working well.
I set up a group in my google contacts which, again, synced fine. I have installed around 5 different apps from the Market which say that they will send group sms easily (including Handcent and Chompsms). The main problem I had with most of them is that they didn't use the mobile number of the contact as the primary number (even though I went through each contact and set the mobile number as primary!) so it was trying to send a text to a house phone.
I then created three separate groups on the Atrix (which is a bit of a pain as I'd like to be able to send it to all the contacts in one go) and then sent the same text to each of the groups using the standard app on the phone. This seemed to work fine for the first two groups, then I got an error when sending to the last group. saying that there were "a large number of texts being sent" and I had to press "ok" or cancel. I still wanted to send the text out, so pressed "ok" for all 30 of the contacts. It then seemed to send the text twice to some contacts which they weren't happy with!
I then left it and thought it was ok. I looked online for the "large number of texts" error as I can't have the phone sending the same text to the same contacts all the time or having to press "ok" 100 times! It seems that there is no clear answer as to why the error appears though some people are thinking it's because there is a limit on the phone of 100/sms per hour but I'm not sure if that's the case. I just need the error to go away and not ask me to press anything?!
To add to the problem, I've turned my phone on this morning and it's just sent the same text from last night to most of my contacts - some of them twice!! It was 6am here so I'm not sure any of my clients will be happy with that!
I really do love this phone but this is the one thing that should be easy to do and I've wasted so much time trying to do it. I've come from a BlackBerry which was horrible and nothing like the lovely Atrix BUT as I send numerous group texts each week, the BB can do this easily with no fuss and the Atrix is really struggling.
I'm going to give Motorola a call when they wake up and will check with my service provider that it's nothing they have set up (but the sim and contract is straight from the BB so can't think that that's a problem) and see what they can do to help but wanted to see if you guys had any ideas...
I set the account up fine using automatic settings. Receives mail but will not send it. For some reason you cannot access the mail server settings like you can with the other accounts.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI retired my Blackberry to get on board the smart phone train and after 2 1/2 weeks with my Atrix 4G I am barely able to use e-mail. I'm not a techie but fairly competent with a post grad education and spent over 2 hours with a true techno geek that could not find a solution that only after spending a couple hours in the local AT&T retail center with their gurus trying to determine if the phone was defective.
After reading dozens of posts on outgoing e-mail problems, there are so many different issues that I cannot believe AT&T can market this phone "for the business man" T can market this phone T can market this phone
I can receive email just fine from my Atrix 4G phone, but I can't reply or send an email. It tries to go, but then I get a message that says it wasn't sent. I have gotten with our IT person, and all the settings seem to be right. Others aren't haveing problems sending from thier phones.

But when I tap on the arrow to reply to this message, I can type a reply but there is no send button. If I go to the actual message thread I can reply and send, no problem. But how can I get the send button to appear when replying to messages via the universal inbox?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs soon as my phone had installed the latest update, i lost the ability to send or receive text messages. The only time I can send or receive is if i am on a phone call. As soon as the call is done, my text messaging is non-functional. I have no issues with calls/internet browsing/apps...just text messaging.
Furthermore, i do not know if this a phone issue or an AT&T issue.
my phone has been acting strange for about a week passing from inconvenient to unusable. It sometimes says that there is no service, and when there is service available it just doesn't work.I can't call, sms, or receive calls or sms.I called my service provider (Telcel Mexico) and everything seems to be in order.If I put my chip into my old phone I can make/receive calls and sms no problem.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.

I have sort of good connection and i tested uploading pics on facebook and picasa with out any problem, but with gmail it just stays at sending and some times it even don't show that status in gmail client. It is so frustrating. I have reset my phone manytimes and I have updated software.

Regular emails go fine. I have tried resetting all the cache on each of the applications and still nothing. I also reformatted my storage and still the same problem.

I have noticed that Motoblur does allow for syncing Podcast, Videos, Photos, and Music, however; I have not found the ability to sync my text Messages. Please tell me if it is possible to do this, and if not , is there any other way to tranfer my text messages from my Atrix4g to my laptop? I once had a Nokia and used OVI suite to sync text message to my laptop. This was a very usefull feature as it provided a means of permanently keeping all text mesages.

Was unable to get it to work but successfully set up the K9 app.With the new GB release I thought I would try the stock app again. Now I can send messages but can't receive any with the stock email app. I have my own web domain and pop3 email. Any ideas why this won't work with the stock app although it does work with the K9 app?
