Motorola Atrix 4G :: Noticed That A Number Of Applications Appear To Go Away Or Get Dropped From The App Draw?

Since the gingerbread upgrade I've noticed that a number of applications appear to go away or get dropped from the app draw (though sometimes there's evidence of the application in the app manager with names such as "kov.gallery.dxtwo" instead of "Droid X2 wallpapers" which is missing from the wallpaper gallery). I've had to install the following applications today after looking for an app I knew I ran just the day before but could not find any longer: Android Status Droid DX2 wallpapers-Motorola XOOM wallpapers- GzOne Gallery Commando wallpapers- Space Junk Satellite AR- NASA app- Extensive Notes (don't remember if I paid for the Pro version but I did not find a receipt)

I just upgraded to the Atrix 2 from the original Atrix and have noticed that the only storage it can see is the 2gb SD Card. On the original it would see the 10gb it had on board and the SD card. I am just wanting to confim that all I should be able to see is the SD card on the Atrix 2.

I upgraded to the Atrix a few weeks ago, for my wife and me. all of a sudden we have dropped calls all the time. does anyone know a cure for that or if Motorola is working on that?

I have owned my Atrix for about 3 weeks and it constantly switches back and forth from 3G to EDGE, rinse and repeat. It does this about 30-40 times per day. I have a very strong 3G signal in my area and I notice that my Atrix does this MORE OFTEN than my iPhone 4.Also, I am dropping a lot of calls on the Atrix compared to the iPhone 4, which I was really surprised to see this happening. I do have all of the latest software updates installed on the Atrix.One more thing, I noticed that on AT&T you can't install from "Unknown" sources, hence I would like to take advantage of the daily specials on the Amazon android store and I am unable to do so without the option on the phone.

I have noticed ever since i've gotten my Atrix that the wifi is always getting dropped when im inside a bedroom or some 20 ft away from the router. At first i thought it might have been just my router having issues but my laptop never experienced any wifi droppage like that though. The only times i don't get dropped signals are when im actually right infront of my router
I've read that sim-unlocked devices may experience this issue but mine isn't, or at least i don't think it is. I bought it from n AT&T store and im pretty sure they wouldn't sell an unlocked device, ever...
So my question is then, has anyone found a solution to this? I mean it's starting to become a real big hassle having to wait for my connection to come back up so i can continue using my phone
My brother also bought an Atrix lest than a month ago and its having the same issue so i have no clue if either both our devices are defective or if its a general issues most users are having, cause if so, i think Atrix users should either get a refund or at least an update to fix this issue.

I was sold a phone I was told that could go as fast as an iPhone on the regular network and even faster when I was in a 4G market.I have measured my speeds with an app and the first week they were fine. I still have the 4mbps down and 200+ kbps up logs.So I stopped worrying about it.After my 30 day return period ended and before. 57 my speeds dropped to the 1mbps down, .9kbps up range.I've complained and been told that a fix is on the way but come on... Two month is long enough to fix your screw ups.Give me my money so I can get a phone that will really connect to the network. And don't blame the network.

Has anyone noticed any screen seperation from the metal backing? My Motoactv is always in the watch band, and today I decided to take it out to wash the band. When i removed the device I noticed something very disturbing, the metal back on one corner has movement, i.e. The body seems to have come away from the screen ever so slightly. If I squeeze the device there is slight movement and a slight squeak noise?

I use a couple of applications that find their resources in the sdcard, but I like storing my files in the external sdcard. I'm a user that comes from the Samsung Captivate, so it was never a problem for me because Samsung phones access the external sdcard by means of a symlink from inside the internal sdcard doing something like/sdcard/external_sdBut with the Atrix is completely different since the mount points are/mnt/sdcard and there's a symlink to /sdcardAnd the external sdcard is/mnt/sdcard-ext with a symlink to /sdcard-extIs there a workaround for achieving what I need to do? I believe it's not possible to create a symlink because of the filesystem used in the sdcard, but I might be wrong.

I am new to smartphones and all that they do. There are a number of apps that were pre-installed when I picked up this device. I can uninstall any downloaded app but am unable to see how to uninstall any of the default apps. I can remove them from the desktop, but they will remain on the phone. How can these be removed from the phone and free up the storage they are using?

Ive noticed that alot of stuff is running slow, ive pulled the battery and still the same, went into the running apps under settings and over half the ram is free, i thought it was supposed to be dual core, although it wasnt like this before the update

is there a maximum number of folders that can be synced from Exchange server to Motorola Atrix HD active sync ?
I have an issue to sync like 80+ folders from the mailbox and it is about 500 MB. Maybe an issue with the structure of folders ?
I have tried to move one subfolder containing like 30 folders from Mailbox to a root and then back.

my phone automatically did the update a few days ago and rebooted and ever since then I have been unable to access my FB account and connect to the internet on my phone. I've got the buttons unchecked that say to connect only when wifi available, so I don't know what's going on.

Found an interesting bug on a few lumia 900's (i have tried it on 4 and all show it) that may affect certain games, especially Harbor Master for me since it involved drawing lines to the screen edge.The problem is that if you draw one straight line from the left edge of the screen to the right edge (or the other way around), the end of the right edge (about 1 cm wide) doesnt acknowledge the line drawing unless the line is drawn very slowly. To reproduce the bug, open the nokia diagnostic tools and run the 'Touch' test. To get the diagnostics tool if you dont, just dial ##634# using the touchpad.Draw a line fro the left edge to the right edge quickly and you will see what i mean. Or from the right to left. The same thing happens if drawn from top to bottom.

The app called draw keeps crashing at launch. The iPhone is on 5.1. The app is up to date and it's an iPhone 4S. My friends app still works on their iPhone which has 5.1 etc etc as well as mine.

In the Photos app. Version 4.0.1.Sometimes graphics are missing, like the trash can bar. The pictures won´t turn at all when you turn the phone. (Yes portrait lock is off).Actually 4.0.1 is probably the buggiest version I´ve ever seen on the iPhone and I´ve gone through all the updates since my first 3G iPhone.

I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?

I am using a RAZR on Verizon. Frequently, but not 100% of the time, if I am on a call, and another call comes in one of the following things happen:
1. If I take no action, meaning I continue with call 1, both calls are dropped.
2. If I attempt to switch to the other call, both calls are dropped.
3. The incoming (2nd call) is dropped, but I cannot hear the 1st caller.
4. If I attempt to reply to the 2nd caller with a text while continuing the 1st call, the call is dropped.

So I've had my T-Mobile Galaxy S6 for 9 days and I noticed a dark shadow or spot on the right side of the screen. I thought it was the lens or the plastic film covering the lens. I was wrong and it appears the issue is with the sensor itself. T-Mobile is sending me another unit.
This is an expensive piece of tech. So make sure you check everything the first days you own it to ensure you are not stuck with a defected one.
