i got my iphone 3gs.. and since i updated it to 5.O from 4.1 ive noticed a recurring shut off when im open any of my application..

I've recently updated my firmware version to 05.15, and upon starting Maps (sorry I don't know which version I have currently), I get an error saying "Cannot open application. Get latest version from nokia.com/maps". I've downloaded the appropriate file (selected using the tool on the website), but I cannot install version 3.01 as my phone will not install a .sis file. Is there a .sisx version of Maps which I'm obviously not seeing somewhere? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

(Yes portrait lock is off).Actually 4.0.1 is probably the buggiest version I´ve ever seen on the iPhone and I´ve gone through all the updates since my first 3G iPhone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just updated my E72's software to version 031.023 and my shortcut applications have disappeared from the 'home screen' and when I go into settings - modes to try and fix nothing happens when I press 'Application Shortcuts' .I liked my E72 but it is really starting to annoy me for various reasons (especially OVI maps). I totally regret buying it. I feel a rant coming on!

When I open the app, it opens fine, then closes by itself after about 10 seconds! I have deleted and re-installed the software, I deleted the CIties file and QF files.

I've got a clean (wiped to factory reset) BB8800, with a first time installation of BB Desktop Manager on a new PC. The BBDM is 5.0.1.16. Everything is uncluttered with previous detritus.
However, when I connect the BB to the Desktop Manager, it asks me to update the Application Loader. I follow the instructions:
OK to upgrade
Disconnect BB
Click OK to close BBDM
Closes Desktop Manager,
Downloads 16Mb file
Goes to MS Installer
Verifies the files
Installs the files
It reopens the Desktop Manager
Then lo and behold, it asks me to UPDATE THE APPLICATION LOADER!!!
I'm on Application Loader 5.0.1.52. Is there any chance of downloading the newer Application Loader directly because everytime I go through the loop, it's downloading the installer files, and I can't find it in the cache.

I am a foreigner in Thailand. I just want to ask that why all these road and rivers on these maps used to be right when it's been charged while been wrong when it's free? I updated my 5800 few days ago, and then I found out that the map on my phone said I can't get to the main road because there's nothing connected between them? If u check the map, at the address: bangkok HuaMak Ramkhamhaeng 24 Yaek 34, compare with google maps on same location, you will see that according to the maps on the phone there's no way out. Where's al these river's been gone? Yesterday, I went to the center of Bangkok to exchange some money, when I came back by doing boat, the river on my location is gone. Please, I want the old map, the maps that been charged.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have been using Nokia maps on my E71, and I have updated to the latest version, which deleted the maps present on the phone. I now cannot load any maps onto it. While connected to my PC the maps application says that the maps on my phone are corrupt, but I cannot delete them, or load new ones. I have tried deleting the cities folder, and deleting the qf file, but get the same error. I also reinstalled Ovi suite on my PC, same error. I cannot uninstall the maps app on my phone.

1- when i opened the gallery and songs the device gave me the message "searching for music and podcasts" so i waited but the message has been for the last 3 hours.
2- when some one calls me when the device is locked it gives me 2 options to answer and to unlock the phone using the touch screen but however i touch any option nothing happens.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4sI use Google Calendar.I do not use iCloud.My calendar is fine and syncs perfectly between my computer (Lightning) and my iPhone 4sBUT when I go to the pull down notification screen on my iPhone 'recurring events' are duplicated. See above for a screen shot of my calendar settings and my pull down screen I can't work out why. As I said they show up as a single entry on the iPhone calendar and on Lightning and Google but not in the pull down notifications.

The first thing I did when I got it home was to check with Nokia suite to see whether FP1 for Belle was available here in Taiwan. Apparently it is not, but Nokia suite did tell me that I should install a new version of the Nokia maps software, which I duly did. It then said that I should download new maps, which I also did.
After going through the rest of the phone setup, I started checking various things I found that the map application would not open. When I press on the icon I get a spinning circle in the middle of the screen which remains for about a second, then smaller circle in the top left of the map icon which stays for a couple of seconds. The circles go away and nothing opens.
My BB 9360, but another two weeks my BB I'd locked, I cant open application world, can't update or change BB I'd, open YM.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI added a recurring event to my iPhone calendar. It is an event the originated on my work Outlook account that i forwarded to my personal email then added to my calendar. The event isn't synching across iCloud for some reason. It is only on my phone, so I want to delete it. There is no "edit" button on the event and, thus, no option to delete it.
