Nokia :: E72 Application Shortcuts Have Disappeared After Updated To 031.023
Jun 24, 2010
I have just updated my E72's software to version 031.023 and my shortcut applications have disappeared from the 'home screen' and when I go into settings - modes to try and fix nothing happens when I press 'Application Shortcuts' .I liked my E72 but it is really starting to annoy me for various reasons (especially OVI maps). I totally regret buying it. I feel a rant coming on!
So I recently got 6730c. I updated the phone and the map service using Ovi and the maps disappeared. I tried to revert the phone to a backup I did but the maps didn't appear. I again updated Ovi, my phone and the map software and tried to download the maps but it didn't work.
N97 sim free (on Orange), version 2.0 software. Updated to OVI maps, the free ones from this site. Installed ok. When I open the app, it opens fine, then closes by itself after about 10 seconds! I have deleted and re-installed the software, I deleted the CIties file and QF files.
I have just performed a firmware update and have downloaded and installed all other SW updates available, however although it has downloaded Ovi Maps 3.3 will not install.
I am a foreigner in Thailand. I just want to ask that why all these road and rivers on these maps used to be right when it's been charged while been wrong when it's free? I updated my 5800 few days ago, and then I found out that the map on my phone said I can't get to the main road because there's nothing connected between them? If u check the map, at the address: bangkok HuaMak Ramkhamhaeng 24 Yaek 34, compare with google maps on same location, you will see that according to the maps on the phone there's no way out. Where's al these river's been gone? Yesterday, I went to the center of Bangkok to exchange some money, when I came back by doing boat, the river on my location is gone. Please, I want the old map, the maps that been charged.
I have been using Nokia maps on my E71, and I have updated to the latest version, which deleted the maps present on the phone. I now cannot load any maps onto it. While connected to my PC the maps application says that the maps on my phone are corrupt, but I cannot delete them, or load new ones. I have tried deleting the cities folder, and deleting the qf file, but get the same error. I also reinstalled Ovi suite on my PC, same error. I cannot uninstall the maps app on my phone.
I've recently updated my firmware version to 05.15, and upon starting Maps (sorry I don't know which version I have currently), I get an error saying "Cannot open application. Get latest version from nokia.com/maps". I've downloaded the appropriate file (selected using the tool on the website), but I cannot install version 3.01 as my phone will not install a .sis file. Is there a .sisx version of Maps which I'm obviously not seeing somewhere? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
I have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?
I updated my bb messenger, and now its disappeared, on my bb torch. I tried for hours to find it tried downloading it again, but it says its already installed, wheres the icon?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and for some reason the lock screen notifications disappeared after I recently updated my OS. The left portion of the image is the unlocked state; as you can see the notifications show up in the upper left corner of the screen. The right portion is the locked screen, which hides the notifications previously shown. The notifications used to show in both of the screens but after a recent OS update they stopped showing.
After the last update, when ever an app on my sd card gets an update, all of the apps I put on the sd card disappear from the home screen. So, every time I update one, I have to reinstall all of the shortcuts on my home screen. Have already done a couple of factory resets and tried other sd cards.
I am using the blackberry curve 8520 model. however while using the bbm yesterday my phone kept getting stuck . i tried to switch off and start the phone a couple of times but everytime i opened the bbm application, my phone got stuck. now the bbm application is not available too.
I've got a clean (wiped to factory reset) BB8800, with a first time installation of BB Desktop Manager on a new PC. The BBDM is 5.0.1.16. Everything is uncluttered with previous detritus.
However, when I connect the BB to the Desktop Manager, it asks me to update the Application Loader. I follow the instructions: OK to upgrade Disconnect BB Click OK to close BBDM Closes Desktop Manager, Downloads 16Mb file Goes to MS Installer Verifies the files Installs the files It reopens the Desktop Manager Then lo and behold, it asks me to UPDATE THE APPLICATION LOADER!!!
I'm on Application Loader 5.0.1.52. Is there any chance of downloading the newer Application Loader directly because everytime I go through the loop, it's downloading the installer files, and I can't find it in the cache.
Just for ref the BBDM components: BBDM 5.0.1.16 DDDevMngr 4.1.0.14 RIM USB Driver 4.1.0.4 RIM Serial USB Driver 2.2.0.3 Application loader 5.0.1.52 RIMProgram 1.0.0.3
After I updated software on my HTC One X, FM Radio disappeared from application list, it still shows at widgets, but when I try to put on screen, phone crashes a bit. I did not bought phone from operator.
I am using bb 9780 with OS 6.0. I few days back I updated my Blackberry Application World to 3.1.0.60 but since then I am unable to locate my Application world icon on my home screen.I checked my entire bb and even hidden files but its nowhere to be found. It shows in the installed applications list but nowhere in the blackberry. I even tried reinstalling it several times but still the problem is persistent.
my blackberry application world icon have disappeared. i believe it was after i upgraded the software of my bold 9780. my carrier is Vodafone Australia
I have a 8520 and recently updated my software. After I did this my email envelope has disappeared. I have replaced my original settings and nothing. I do receive emails but in the general message envelope.
When I tap my screen and choose adding shortcuts only my second page of shortcuts show, where the Facebook app. are. My first page do not show, where phone and contacts are. I had these before but now I can not figure out what to do to get the phone shortcut on my desktop.
the shortcut suddenly stopped working and I am not able to select Profile from Homescreen. When I tap at the top centre (where the Calendar and profile shortcut usually found), I am able to feel the touch vibrate. But I am not able to see any dropdown showing different profiles.
Excuse me if there is already a topic on this, I haven't searched. But does anyone know if the media bar on this phone can be customised? By that I mean can I add to or remove shortcuts?
on my 5530 the shortcuts bar is near the top of the screen.on all the other 5530s i have seen (inc pics) this bar is at the bottom of the screen.how do i move it from top to bottom ?
My phone has a bug, i try to set my home screen up so that the short cuts would show and my email notifications as well.. Instead i can set up my contact with the pictures, but not the installed shortcuts like music, web,etc... I am really fraustrated with this, as i have to keep going into applications to click on my email to retrieve my msgs and to play music as well..
I am in the messaging application, click to update mailbox and while it is trying to update the email application crashes and closes completely. I am returned to the home screen but now the shortcut I had for my email account inbox is gone, replaced by a shortcut to the music store. I had to manually fix this several times but then I discovered that just leaving it after a while the correct icon would reappear.
