Motorola Droid 4 :: Didn't Receive Any Email Confirmation?
May 24, 2012I just registered my brand new DROID4, and I'm excited to take part of the Motorola Feedback Network. I did register, opt-in, and I didn't receive any email confirmation like I had previously with my DROID3.Also, I noticed on my Profile, that it had added an extra '6' to my serial number, which I thought was odd, so I modded my profile to have the correct serial number (HEX). Not sure if that's a bug or if anyone else has noticed that. I had double checked my input *TWICE* before submitting it, so it wasn't a typo.
With ICS for the D4 getting closer, I wanted to take part in the soak test, but I'm not sure how I can verify that my phone has properly been registered so I can take part in it. With the (2) "leaks" floating around the net, I figured Moto must be getting close to releasing the soak test,I have a Car Dock, and the 'Universal' HD Dock. I also use the Motorola Car Finder (which is a bit buggy, but incredibly useful app) I can provide good feedback, and I look forward to ICS. I was actually running it on my D3 for a while, and can say that ICS is awesome
Motorola Droid Razr :: Alarm Clock Didn't Go Off?
Mar 16, 2012This morning was the second time in two months that the alarm clock on my phone didn't work. I've had my RAZR MAXX since the first week it was released, and I use it as my alarm clock every weekday. Most days it works just like it's supposed to, but this morning (and once probably a month ago), it never went off. When I unlocked the phone, the icon was in the Notification Bar as if it had been snoozed, but it had never gone off. My wife was already awake, and it was already about a half-hour past when it should have gone off, so I know I didn't press snooze.

Has anyone found a conversion utility that properly converts a .3gp video file to rotate the video horizontally (on a PC)? I've found several that CLAIM to, but the problem I continue to run into is that the Audio doesn't propery SYNC in the resulting output file (e.g., .avi).

Apr 7, 2012had it in my pocket whislt I was walking round, and when I sat down at a restaurant and looked at it, and it was almost like the phone had just died, but the screen didn't light up and the LED didn't flash. I charged it up fully the night before and i know that when the battery is flat it flashes yellow, but it was doing nothing.When I got home i tried charging it, but nothing and then I plugged it into my laptop to try a retrive all of my stuff on there but again nothing!

Nov 5, 2011I record video using the camcorder app. I playback video and the audio has a high pitched whine / whistle or sound layered over the background audio. Sometimes the whine gets louder and sometimes lower but its aways there. Its very annoying sounding and seems like either feedback or interference or something. Anyone else experiencing this?I've tried various resolutions and zooming in and out, and lowering the volume all the way prior to entering the app (because you can't get any feedback on volume adjustment once in the app) and nothing i've tried seems to get rid of the sound. I have also tried the 3 "audio scenes" "Everyday" setting seems to be the worst, outdoors the best.

Nov 17, 2011I am trying to set multiple alarms on my Droid 2 Global using the Alarm/Timer app that came with the phone.Let's say I set one at 6am and the next at 6:10am.The first alarm goes off fine. If I dismiss that alarm, the second one also works. But if I do not dismiss the first alarm, the second alarm never plays. I can see that it says the name of the second alarm on the display, but there is no sound.
The whole point is to have the second alarm play in case I sleep through the first alarm. If I sleep through the first alarm, I will not be able to dismiss the first one, so I need the second one to play out loud.Is there any way to fix this using the Alarm/Timer app?Or can someone recommend a better multiple alarm app?

I will notice it is vibrating without but there is no notificaiton. If I turn the phone off and back on, the sound returns.

Mar 30, 2012I recently ordered a Droid 3, which came with free car dock and home dock. But when the phone is hooked up to the car dock-which is suppose to help the phone be "hands free"- the sound won't work. In other words, when I get a text and it says, "say Listen to hear your text" I can't ? This also happens when I try to use the navigation. I can see and it works fine, but I can't hear the instructions unless I take it off the dock, which is where I need it to be.

This is very annoying so I muted my phone and this is fine until it time to wake up and the alerm doesnt sounds because I muted my phone. My televisions are not DLNA compatible and I really don't care about HD quality, so I was wondering if the 3.5 port was an option for basic video out. I know some devices used to have a compatible adapter for this process, but thought maybe it was terminated because of new technology. Oct 23, 2011I can't find some pictures or a video that I took on my DROID3. I'm not sure if I had them stored on the SD card or internal storage. There is one picture contained in the internal memeory that I took when I first got the phone and before I put the SD card in it. The SD card is from my old Blackberry. It takes and stores new pictures just fine. The pictures and video are from about 2 weeks ago. I did find a thumbnail that looks like it might be from the video and I set one of the pictures aas my wallpaper. It displays fine as a wallpaper but for some reason it can't find that actual picture.

Aug 7, 2012been meaning to look into this for the longest time. i know that our providers must compress our media messages for speed and size. i'm not overly stressed about photo compression, but video i wonder about. where can i find the best info on which resolution is the happy medium between quality and posting speed? i know at full hd that Internet is gonna take quite some time and that g+ doesn't compress either, but video messaging always compresses even when i go down to vga and so. also, i'm always asked to resize the video but i have only 2 options, qcif and qvga. those are my specific questions, but if there is a site with answers to a myriad of other concerns related to media compression and posting i'd love to see it.

Jul 8, 2015I have rebooted, contacted Verizon numerous times, been routed to a Level II technician, but nothing seems to solve the only intermittent problem of getting no notification sound when I get an email. The problem started out getting no ringtone sound when I got a call. Verizon finally fixed that by enabling something on advanced calling in their network. That took numerous trips to the Verizon store. Then, two days ago, I went back to Verizon with my wife to look at the iphone6 for her. I casually mentioned the notification problem to the salesperson, who said the problem was probably due to my downloaded sounds, and that I should stick to the sounds on the phone. I promptly went home and removed the downloaded sounds, but the problem persists. Because the problem is intermittent, no one has been able to fix it.

I did see another thread that seems to mention this but it deals more with ongoing notifications throughout the night and I don't have any problems with that. don't want to use silent mode because I want calls to come through, but I don't want the notification sound to play on insert. I've tried the Bedside dock app becuase it selectively suppresses notification sounds (no email alert, can choose phone or SMS alerts). Bedside works great to handle email notifications but it insn't active until after the dock insert sound has played.This is a real nusiance when my wife is already asleep when I place the phone in the dock.

Usually they work very well, I can listen to music and also make calls with them, but once in a while I will encounter a problem, when I answer a call, it will be completely mute. If I turn the headphone off, it will still be off. Even if I hang up the call, then my phone will now be completely mute (I can't even listen to music anymore). So I reset, and then my phone is back to normal.
