View 4 RepliesI'm unable to take a portrait photograph or video on my Razr. If I hold it in portrait mode, the icons don't rotate like they do on the Galaxy Nexus, there's no option to set it to portrait mode, and every picture ends up in landscape. Even if I disable Auto Rotate, they're all in landscape. This is a real pain in the butt because sometimes I need more detail on something that is taller than it is wide but I have to settle for the extra space of landscape. The Galaxy Nexus and Droid Bionic allow portrait photographs and video, why doesn't the Razr.

On my gmail account it shows Gmail under the envelope on the other two I have added so far it just the envelope and email.
Once again I took several videos with my DROID X in the vertical position. Has anyone found a conversion utility that properly converts a .3gp video file to rotate the video horizontally (on a PC)? I've found several that CLAIM to, but the problem I continue to run into is that the Audio doesn't propery SYNC in the resulting output file (e.g., .avi).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new here from iPhone land, enjoying the 64GB Turbo. How can I map the location a photo was taken? And yes, assuming location is turned on when the pic was taken. I'm just using photo gallery right now, I'd rather not use Picasa.
View 5 Replies View RelatedBeen trying to figure out the gallery since I got the phone. It lumps every photo I have into 1 Album even though I have them in folders. They are on the internal memory. I made a folder called Media / My Pix // and Media / My Flix. I know On my HTC it read my folders and grouped then which was nice.
View 6 Replies View Relatedenever I try to upload photos through the built in photo uploading app (it doesn't matter what service I try to upload to) the photo fails to upload, giving an "Upload error" notification. When the notification is clicked I get the following error: "Can't send response now. Data services are unavailable."I've seen some people mention doing a full factory reset (on other Motorola DROID phones) and this possibly fixing the issue, but I would definitely like to avoid this at all costs.

And I can't find the photo anywhere in my files on the phone. I connected the phone to my computer, and I still can't find the photo anywhere.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy photo gallery is a mess. There are many duplicates and two thumbnail directories. I would like to wipe it out and reimport photos from my PC. How the photo directories are arranged on the Droid Razr. If viewed in a file browser it appears that all of the subdirectories branch off the DCIM directory. However I have the following with multiple copies of each photo.
DCIM/.thumbnails/.thumbnails
There is also a "pictures" directory. What photos go into thumbnails? Which photos go into "Pictures"? What are the .spmo files? If I merge all of the thumbnails into one directory, is there going to be a problem with the files called "thumbdata3"? What will be best file structure and how to best organize it.
When you upload a photo from your phone to FB for example, do you notice that it uploads a very small compressed image? For example, using the native Gallery quick upload feature, i'm alerted that the photo is 2MB and needs to upload over WiFi, so it uploads. But then that same pic on FB ends up being only around 86KB. Uploading straight through the FB app is better, but still only around 325KB for the same image file. Is there any way around this at all?
View 7 Replies View RelatedChanged over from Droid X to newer DROID 4. When trying to share a photo to Photobucket, shows as queued up but it never uploads to Photobucket. I am logged into Photobucket, so it is not a login issue. Is there something in ICS that I have to enable to be able to upload pics in Facebook to my Photobucket account?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOne standard photo is about 5.8MB. pics are too big for casual emailing around and I've found no Droid way to reduce size. I have been using a free program called "send reduced" when I need to email a picture. I transfer pics to my computer using Google Drive when I want to save them. Was wondering how others are handling these huge files?

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I have been unable to view my photos successfully on my laptop. It has been happening for several weeks now...When I transfer the photos to my laptop via USB (before you ask, I have tried as USB Mass Storage, PC MODE, and Windows Media Sync) and try opening them, I get the message 'Window Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted, or is too large.' I just now figured out today how to get the Motocast application installed and running, and it synced up ~400 pictures from my phone to laptop.
However again, when I try viewing any of them on my laptop, I get the message. I have been emailing the photos from my phone, but for some reason that stopped working today also. I go to the photo gallery and do a multi select>Share>Email, and the draft is created. I see the photos attached, put in my email address, but the email never sends...it just pops up with an orange triangle next to the subject and says Send Action canceled. Not sure what all information is needed...software is updated, is a RAZR MAXX, my laptop is Windows 7. About 65 of the photos/videos appear to be in Internal Storage and the rest are on sD card.
Since the M does not have an HDMI port nor support MHL, I was just pondering another alternative. My televisions are not DLNA compatible and I really don't care about HD quality, so I was wondering if the 3.5 port was an option for basic video out. I know some devices used to have a compatible adapter for this process, but thought maybe it was terminated because of new technology. In most phones the 3.5 seems to only be an audio port, but just figured I'd ask.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't find some pictures or a video that I took on my DROID3. I'm not sure if I had them stored on the SD card or internal storage. There is one picture contained in the internal memeory that I took when I first got the phone and before I put the SD card in it. The SD card is from my old Blackberry. It takes and stores new pictures just fine. The pictures and video are from about 2 weeks ago. I did find a thumbnail that looks like it might be from the video and I set one of the pictures aas my wallpaper. It displays fine as a wallpaper but for some reason it can't find that actual picture.
View 3 Replies View Relatedbeen meaning to look into this for the longest time. i know that our providers must compress our media messages for speed and size. i'm not overly stressed about photo compression, but video i wonder about. where can i find the best info on which resolution is the happy medium between quality and posting speed? i know at full hd that Internet is gonna take quite some time and that g+ doesn't compress either, but video messaging always compresses even when i go down to vga and so. also, i'm always asked to resize the video but i have only 2 options, qcif and qvga. those are my specific questions, but if there is a site with answers to a myriad of other concerns related to media compression and posting i'd love to see it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSince ICS, which i just noticed recently, my razr won't let me attach a video file to an email. I realize the file has to be less than 25mb which they have been. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've tried to connect an external microphone so I can use my Droid 4 to record high quality video podcasts, but the video apps don't appear to allow input from anything other than the internal microphone. Even a bluetooth microphone. Other droids allow allow high quality microphones. The microphone adapters that work on the Samsung Droid Charge (and the iphone) don't work on Droid 4. It appears to have a different microphone wiring configuration.
