Motorola 4G :: Handsfree Not Working With Atrix Screen Off

I think the issue lies in that fact that Atrix picks the headset profile instead of the handsfree profile for the bluetooth device and hence i can't make voice dial while Atrix screen is off.
I have a moto handsfree T215 and a moto Atrix. and ironically they don't work well with each other, while my car's own bluetooth program works perfectly. I can make calls regardless if Atrix screen is on or off. but Moto T215 cann't.
Question: how can i force/chose the handsfree profile for my handsfree so i can make calls when screen is off?

handsfree bluetooth completely not working after the Gingerbread update? I have an 08 Titan with the built in bluetooth and everything worked perfectly on Froyo. Since the OTA update, I can pair and connect but can't actually hand the call off to bluetooth. I try selecting bluetooth on the in call screen and it seems like it tries but I get no audio at all and it just kicks back to normal phone call mode. Speaker works.

I have noticed that my screen rotation no longer works on my Atrix. The phone still detects the correct orientation (AndroSensor app's 'Orientation' degrees change correctly as I rotate the phone). Games that rely on the accelerometer still function normally. The operating system just seems to do nothing when I rotate. Browser doesn't go to landscape, and other apps that normally can switch to landscape, just don't. The setting to Auto-rotate is checked.I have pulled the battery, I have rebooted, I have tried changing settings, rebooting, changing them again, but I can't get it to work as it did a few days ago. Searching this sort of problem online seems to come up with similar issues with other people across a myriad of different Android devices, yet no one really has any solution on how to fix besides doing a 'factory reset'. A factory reset doesn't seem to be a good fix for this to me.
The closest reasonable explanation I can come up with is that with the added Motorola software, there might possibly be another 'rotation' setting behind the scenes that we can't access that got out of sync with the normal Android rotation settings (read on how this might be an explanation for the problem on Samsung phones), but who knows what is really going on. Very annoying though, since the phone sensors appear to be working properly. I can't even write a simple text message in landscape mode because of this, making it frustratingly difficult with the small on-screen keys on the regular mode.

According to the tips&tricks section of Help Center, when I am on any home screen, pressing home again should take me to the middle home screen. Touching home from the middle screen should give me a thumbnail view of all home screens, enabling me to jump directly to anyone of them. Neither of these functions is working. Am I perhaps missing a setting?

I have the handsfree headset that came with my Desire, now about 2 months old. A couple of days ago the control buttons on the headset stopped working, I can no longer remotely answer calls, or pause and change music tracks. The headset earphones and microphone still work, I can listen to music and use it for phone calls that have been activated from the phone itself.The headset itself has not received any damage, it hasn't been dropped in water or the like.efore I go out and buy a new headset I thought I'd better try and confirm if they were indeed at fault. Is there, for instance, a phone setting to disable the headset controls.

Has anyone successfully used a corded handsfree headset with the samsung mythic? I have heard that for both incoming/outgoing conversation, plus stereo music capability, that the micro usb port must be used.
I purchased a stereo/microphone with a 3.5mm connector (the mythic has both a 3.5mm and micro usb port), but using the 3.5mm port, only the stereo function worked. neither voice incoming or outgoing worked. And you can't just go down to the at&t store and pick up a samsung handset, they all seem not to have them.

When I got a connection via car bluetooth handsfree system (skoda - VW) my Z2 smartphone unblocking screen.When I have it in my pocket, It's been touched via pocket and starts uncontroled connections, somethimes during previous talk, somethimes after, somethimes it ends connection during talk. It very annoying.Where can find this setting in my Xperia z2 and prevent this situation?Inphone bluetooth setting doesn't contain setting like "leave screen blocked during connection"

I have been unable to get my AT&T S5 to iniate a handsfree call from a bluetooth device if the S5 screen is locked. This is really unsafe in the car if I must pick up the phone, enter PIN or password before I can make a call. Kind of goes against the meaning of "hands free". I expected to find a screen lock bypass for "trusted" devices or something similar, but so far I have not. My bluetooth receives calls fine when locked, I just can't initiate a call.

I have the Atrix for many months now and only witnessed a few small bugs. However my wife bought the Atrix2 and she says the screen shuts off on her when the she touches the screen. It is not a timeout setting either. It is REALLY bad when we are laying in bed and she holds the phone and i try to touch the screen...boom screen shuts off! She turns it on and i touch the screen...boom the screen turns off again. Is this some kind of security setting?

I have this weird thing going on with my Atrix. I've had it for about six months and it was fine until now. What happens is that the touchscreen stops responding after it is turned off (pressing the power button) and back on. I can't unlock the phone, but the volume buttons are still responsive and I can still turn off the screen. If i reboot it (by removing the battery), it boots up just fine, with the screen working perfectly. It'll sometimes stop working when ending a call. The weird thing is that it doesn't happen everytime I turn off the screen, and when it happens, if I turn it off and back on it sometimes starts working again. It also seems to happen more frequently when the battery is low.

I have the Atrix HD and the notification light is only working when I reboot the system, then once the system is on, the notification light no longer works. My original Atrix has a settings option to turn the notification light on/off, but the Atrix HD has no such settings option which was in the 'display' settings on my original Atrix. I then tried the 3rd party apps, such as Light flow, and LED tester etc... none work, even though Light flow overrides the phone settings its still not functioning. I even went through and rebooted the phone, and also w/a technician on the phone and the same thing. the notification light will blink green during system reboot, but after that, it ceases to function. This seems trivial but it's a huge help when im working w/all the msgs I get to determine if I get an important msg or not and one of the reasons I stuck with the motorola line. i've checked hundreds of forums, and spoke to various tech supports, and I cant seem to get a answer that works.

I tried unlocking my AT&T Atrix 4g because, I'll be traveling for the next couple of weeks (I know I'm not supposed to do that), but I used the wrong code too many times, and now it's completely locked. For some reason I can't even use my AT&T SIM card in it any more.

I have searched everywhere for a solution to this problem and am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the sameproblem. During a call, when asked to enter my phone number, passcode, etc., the keypad disappears every time I try to press a key. When I get a key to press it stays on long and disrupts the call I am on. It makes it difficult to use my phone to call in to call centers as I cannot press the numeric option I need.

I bought a new work computer and tried using USB tethering with my Atrix. It installed the NDIS adapter but I was getting the infamous 169.x.x.x address. I decided to try it later since I was in a hurry.Now, the phone will not start USB tethering at all. I plug it in and the USB Tethering check box has a light green checkbox like it's turning on, but never changes. I have rebooted and pulled the battery. No change. What's strange is that I plug the USB in and when I go to the tethering screen the USB checkbox is already checked automatically. I seem to remember having to enable it manually before all this started.

My home entertainment or media center is not working. It used to work and now it turns the TV to 720 but thats it, no pop up selection on the phone. Ive tried to force it using media share but that has no effect either.
Ive now tried it on 2x tvs and 2x monitors and Im getting the same problems.

i've just bought my Motorola Atrix from SingTel Singapore yesterday, it doesn't work from my home WiFi hub! But my iPhone has no problem at all. I plan to go back to the Carrier tomorrow to ask for change to another phone, most likely iPhone.

I first discovered that the camera is locked on fixed focus about a week ago when I tried to take a picture of a barcode. The camera takes good pictures as long at the subject is atleast 2' away. This camera actually does not auto focus or focus at all (do some tests yourself). The irony is that there is a "macro" mode under the scenes setting but that does not help either. I called Motorola and they seem to be aware that their phone which is advertised as having auto focus does not actually focus. They have no estimate on a fix for this problem.

I have a shortcut on one of my homescreens to the News & Weather App (version 1.3.04) which was supplied with my ATRIX 4G. When I open the app, it used to come up with the weather for my location (which I have manually set with a zipcode), but lately it just says "Sorry, weather currently unavailable". If I scroll the screen to the left the other "News" tabs do display current content like they always have. Only the "Weather" tab seems not to be working. I've tried messing with the app's weather settings, but it doesn't seem to be able to find a location from a zipcode any longer. Again, this was not an app that I downloaded, so I can't uninstall and reinstall it. Force stopping and clearing data doesn't fix it either.

I've had my ATRIX 2 about a week now, and the USB Mass Storage option for the USB connection has only actually worked two or three times of all the times I have connected my phone. The Windows Media Sync and Motorola Phone Portal settings usually (but not always) do work. I've tried just about every combination of installing/reinstalling drivers, trying different cables/ports, restarting the computer/phone, etc., but nothing works consistently.I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on my computer, but I'm pretty sure the problem is the phone since no changes on my computer affect the connection.
Totally aside from manually moving files to or from the phone, the Mass Storage option is the only one that works with any of the methods I have to sync my old iPhone playlists to my new phone (Motorola Media Link, Winamp, iTunes agent).Does anyone have any idea why this wouldn't be working consistently for me?

After I updated for GB, my fingerprint reader stopped working. I even tried deleting the profile
and redoing my fingerprint. It will not recognize a new swipe when I try to do it.

I am having the same issue as many people with the fingerprint scanner. But I found a new issue over the weekend.My headphone jack doesnt work to listen to music. When I plug it in, I can hear that little click in the headphonebut when I go to play music it just plays it through the phone speaker.

I have a .nomedia file in my downloads directory to keep downloaded media from being added to the libraries. After the update this no longer works. Ant downloaded pics are getting added to the gallery automatically.

Home button does not bring me back to home screen... Double tap does not bring me to the intended screen... when at the desktop, if at any other desktopn than the center desktop, pressing home button does not bring me to the center desktop... Long tap/hold on home button, or search does nothing...
