came off an app last night and the screen went blank ever since then been unable to turn back on I have had the phone on charge but still nothing I have tried a reboot but still nothing
View 1 RepliesYesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.
Is it possible to manually toggle LTE on and off for the 950 XL on AT&T? The situation is my work building does not have wifi and has very poor LTE reception. So bad that being stuck without LTE on AT&T has been a revelation at work. If I cannot manually turn off LTE, I am considering not getting AT&T to fix my lack of LTE issue.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast week I wrote regarding my Lumia 1520, not turning off. As a summary, power bottom doesn't work, nor does the reset option. It freezes and glitches constantly, and the only way to turn on the display is by pressing the camera and volume down button, can't turn it off either. I was advised to reset the phone to factory settings, which I did, however problems still persist. I'm wondering this might be a hardware issue.

It was at 4% and I was actually walking over to the charger when I got the goodbye message and the phone shut off. I tried to turn it on, but I just got the low battery sign. I remember this happened on my old phone, so I just let it charge for the night. Unfortunately, when I woke up this morning it still wouldn't turn on. Didn't even get the low battery sign. Soft reset does nothing. Both of my computers did not even recognize that anything was plugged in. The only thing is, last week when I charged my phone I got a message saying something along the lines of your phone is charging slow because you're not using the stock charger.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently dropped my Nokia Lumia 1520, and the top left of the screen is cracked pretty bad, but usually that doesn't stop a phone from working.. When I dropped it the screen froze for about 5 seconds, then randomly shut off.. This is the only phone I have, and insurance is still $200 to replace, and I wouldn't have that for a couple months. I was wondering if there was a way to somehow power it on?
I believe the battery still works, because sometimes when I try to turn it on, the flash blinks, and it gets hot if I leave it on the charger. It doesn't respond when I plug it into the pc, so I doubt it's the display not working...
I decided to reboot my phone because the battery seemed to be running lower than normal, now there's no display at all and I don't know if it has broken. When it's plugged into the computer it is still recognized, but theres no display.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my S6 about 3 weeks ago. I was using it normally, but then I left it and when I came back it wouldn't turn on unless I pressed the volume down key too. After that it kept turning off after 15-30 minutes I turned it on, everytime, and then it simply wouldn't turn on whatever i did, even if a pressed all 4 buttons for 10 seconds. Then I simply pressed the power button and it turned on. It behaved normally for that whole day.
I went to sleep with 45% battery and it died. Again it wouldn't turn on unmattering what i did, and after like 5 hours i pressed the volume down and power again and it turned on (after many tries), wtih 27% battery - and it was always off, but after like 2 minutes it died again, and only turned on, after many tries, when I presed vlm dwn, power and home together, giving me the restart screen with 7% charge. (not that dos/cmd-like, with hard reset and all, only a custom os and restart). it worked normally (draining battery fast), and then shut down again, even if i was charging it, though the whatsapp green led is flashing, so i think it's not completely off.
my phone other than recently the battery life has been pretty bad all of a sudden (I think it's my charger) , anyways I was outside taking a picture on my phone and as soon as it took the picture the screen went black and it was completely unresponsive, tried turning it on, reset, nothing worked. I took the battery out and back in and It turned on, BUT then my time and date was completely wrong and for some reason since the time and date was wrong it made my internet not work.

I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.

So I restarted my phone for several times and it did not work. I then tried to hard reset my phone but it did not work as well. 2 days later I tried another several soft resets and one hard resets, it finally works. But I cannot turn it on again just now.
