Since the Lumia Cyan update (2 weeks ago in the UK) the Xbox music live tile no longer works. Before the update ... When you were playing music, the artist picture would show on the tile and then have the name of the artist running across the tile. Looked really nice and smooth.
Since the update though there is nothing. The tile just shows the headphones...

I have to restart the device to solve the issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I leave my phone to play music, either connected to an auxiliary cable to my car, or just via headphones, and basically the music doesn't play properly. On my phone, the music still goes on, but there's no output sound. The only way i've been able to fix it temporarily is to unplug the aux/headphone and pause the song, then replug and replay.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHer phone was perfect before doing the updates. Now, she claims the BT just turns off and won't turn back on (in the car, connected to the car audio system). I looked at her phone the other day and sure enough, BT and WIFI were both OFF, and when I tried to turn them on, it said something like "Sorry, can't to that right now. Try again later.". Turned off phone and turned back on, and it's fine...for a while, then does the same thing.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI removed the bloatware by simply uninstalling it. Bluetooth off as well as any app that may drain the battery. I could go 24+ hrs before a recharge with minimal usage, but generally beat my phone up on a daily basis between 6am to midnight using Instagram, Facebook, phone calls, texting, Pandora, camera, and youtube and still have 40% battery life.... But that was before 8.1 and Cyan.... Now, at idle it drained 25% in 4hrs sitting next to me while I'm writing an essay!? I did the hard reset, I scrutinized the background apps, I have turned everything off and still draining as I have described....

I have the HK RM-937 but flashed the RM-937 VAR EURO GB CV ROM to it so I could get Cyan.

However, I already had a folder called "music" in my OneDrive root folder (i.e. OneDriveMusic). When I open my Xbox Music app on my Icon, it doesn't see the folder and doesn't see the music that I already have there. So how do I get it to work. It's working fine on my SP3.
I checked my Xbox account and it shows I'm signed in.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using an unlocked ATT 1020 on Tmobile and when I enabled internet sharing, it would tell me to call 611 and request the feature from ATT. But if I disabled LTE, tethering would work and then I could re-enable it. Now, with cyan, the phone recognizes that it's going through tmobile, but states that I don't have the mobile hotspot service (I do have it) and takes me to a message to upgrade my plan. When I click upgrade, it takes me to a page to call Tmobile. Upon calling them, after dealing with someone who swore my plan didn't include tethering (it certainly does), I got transferred to someone else.
After some steps and some research on their side, I was told that the only thing that made sense was that when I changed my plan to a higher data plan (recently, where I was assured nothing would change except the amount of data), the system saw that my phone was not a Tmobile one and kicked tethering off. She stated that there was no way to manually re-add it because it just kicks it off again. For the record, all of the other phones on my plan still work with tethering (one other phone is a non-tmobile iphone). Also, a friend of mine has a 1520.3 on the same plan and cyan actually made internet sharing work when it wasn't working before. So confused and frustrated.
I don't know if this was actually something cyan changed or if it really was the plan change, because I believe the last time I tried internet sharing was before both changes. I want to try my sim card in a pre-cyan, non-tmobile WP and see what happens.
Prior to the Cyan update the uploading from camera roll or just after a pic was very fast. Now it opens the Facebook page when you upload and if you leave the page it stops uploading.

I know it's not my router because all my other devices have maintained the same performance as they always have. This has happened with Word and Excel documents.Edit and save went fine, with no errors or upload issues.Both times, the document originated on my PC (Win8.1, Office 2013), and I edited & saved on my 1020.I don't really care about whether it happens when a document originates on my phone, as I really need to edit existing documents on the go.
As I continue testing this issue, I'm beginning to think more and more that this is a buggy PC Office update, and not something with Cyan/8.1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust come back to my 1520 yesterday and updated it to Cyan 8.1 which means the current version of Nokia Camera, however, Ive noticed that the focus ring, which normally flashes as its focusing when you depress the camera button half way, sometimes just appears on-screen and no longer looks as if its focusing, but as if its already focussed and ready to take the shot. I have to close Nokia camera and re-open it again so it focusses, but any shots after the `st one.. the focus ring is just solid.
The Windows Camera still focuses as does ProShot.. however, I want to use Living Images in storyteller.Does this have anything to do with this "Burst Shot" thats supposed to be in the camera.

Today I left my phone at home, I didn't use it and when I tried to pick it up I actually got scared, it was so extremely hot that I thought it will explode. After few seconds I got warning that battery is low but I know that it was around 70% when iI left it(I've left it only for 1 hour). I turned it off so it could cold before I charge it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes the Lumia 1520 stream music even if it exists on the SD card locally? It seems like the network active arrow indicator is on an awful lot when I am listening to music, even though I have the "show streaming music in my collection" setting off.
Also, I get error messages saying "Can't fetch rights. Sorry, this song may be unavailable for streaming. Please try purchasing from the store."
These are not subscription songs; I own them, they are MP3 format and not DRM protected and they are on my SD card locally.
I use the Windows Phone app to transfer songs from my Windows 7 PC to my Lumia 1520 with the 8.1 update.
I also get messages on some songs saying "Can't play. Sorry, we cannot play this song on your phone. It may be corrupted, or be an unsupported file type." so I suspect the files are corrupted in both cases and need to be resynched.
I have had my 1520 for about a year and I simply cannot get it to play music through Bluetooth without the sound jumping, dropping out, cracking up, etc etc. I mostly try to use it in my car (with a LG infotainment system). It's a dead loss. Making a BT connection is no problem, neither is speaking through the BT handsfree in my car - just the music playback quality.
What I have tried:
.Now running Windows 10 10166 on the phone. I was hoping that changing from Windows 8.1 might work. No luck. Incidentally, when the phone still ran Win 8.1, I tried resetting it twice (on the advice of Nokia support) - to no avail.
.I have, about 50 times, removed all Bluetooth connections then re-enabled them in my car and on the phone. No good.
.This led me to believe it was an issue with my LG car system. However, when I play music through BT with my old Android Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or my daughter's IPhone 5, it works without issue. This seems to point to a Nokia hardware issue.
.I also experimented playing music on a standalone JBL BT speaker. Same problem. Again, points to a hardware issue.
This problem has been occurring since I have used the 1520. Never did I experienced this with my 920 before.
Anyways, music randomly stops playing and I can't seem to get it back to playing if I don't restart THE WHOLE PHONE. It's very annoying and no this is not an Xbox Music issue since I've tried MixRadio, the Hub Tile and other third party players and this is still happening. Whatever skipping of songs I do it still won't play. Songs are switching but it's stuck on the 'pause' button but it's not playing.. No sounds, time is not running. REALLY annoying.
Every couple of days, my phone will just start playing music on speaker by its own.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI highly value the sound output of a phone and how it can drive pro headphones. So I went to ATT store and took my Sony headphones with me.
I was pleasantly surprised by the dynamic range and quality of the sound. It is rich and satisfying. it can drive big headphone nicely. Bass was not only present but it was clean and un-clipped, punchy and full. I did not go over 27 on volume since it was very loud already.
I did not keep my 920 for this reason; 1520 is miles ahead of 920 in music sound output.
