View 16 RepliesI'm having some trouble with the Bluetooth in my car since I installed Cyan on my AT&T Lumia 1020 (I'm also running the 8.1 Update One Developer Preview).
My phone will pair just fine to my '13 Subaru Impreza, does not remain paired after shutting off the car and restarting. Seems to have lost it somehow.
I have just updated to cyan on my 1020. Since then whenever I open my browser to view Facebook, it only loads the mobile version and not the desktop.other desktop pages open fine

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have now sent my WP8.1/CYAN LUMIA 1020 to repair (been without a phone for 1 week). All Nokia Service Repair center was to downgrade phone from CYAN to BLACK and said the issue was done. I am not happy with this solution. My camera dies after upgrading to CYAN update.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using an unlocked ATT 1020 on Tmobile and when I enabled internet sharing, it would tell me to call 611 and request the feature from ATT. But if I disabled LTE, tethering would work and then I could re-enable it. Now, with cyan, the phone recognizes that it's going through tmobile, but states that I don't have the mobile hotspot service (I do have it) and takes me to a message to upgrade my plan. When I click upgrade, it takes me to a page to call Tmobile. Upon calling them, after dealing with someone who swore my plan didn't include tethering (it certainly does), I got transferred to someone else.
After some steps and some research on their side, I was told that the only thing that made sense was that when I changed my plan to a higher data plan (recently, where I was assured nothing would change except the amount of data), the system saw that my phone was not a Tmobile one and kicked tethering off. She stated that there was no way to manually re-add it because it just kicks it off again. For the record, all of the other phones on my plan still work with tethering (one other phone is a non-tmobile iphone). Also, a friend of mine has a 1520.3 on the same plan and cyan actually made internet sharing work when it wasn't working before. So confused and frustrated.
I don't know if this was actually something cyan changed or if it really was the plan change, because I believe the last time I tried internet sharing was before both changes. I want to try my sim card in a pre-cyan, non-tmobile WP and see what happens.
Prior to the Cyan update the uploading from camera roll or just after a pic was very fast. Now it opens the Facebook page when you upload and if you leave the page it stops uploading.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter weeks with the update I've noticed that my wifi reception seems to be pretty spotty. I know it's not my router because all my other devices have maintained the same performance as they always have. Most of the time I get half the signal I used to but sometimes I get no signal at all until I restart.
View 13 Replies View RelatedHer phone was perfect before doing the updates. Now, she claims the BT just turns off and won't turn back on (in the car, connected to the car audio system). I looked at her phone the other day and sure enough, BT and WIFI were both OFF, and when I tried to turn them on, it said something like "Sorry, can't to that right now. Try again later.". Turned off phone and turned back on, and it's fine...for a while, then does the same thing.
View 18 Replies View RelatedAfter receiving the Cyan and 8.1 update (weeks ago), anytime I edit an office document with my 1020 which resides on OneDrive, I am then unable to open it again on my PC. I receive the following:
This has happened with Word and Excel documents.Edit and save went fine, with no errors or upload issues. Both times, the document originated on my PC (Win8.1, Office 2013), and I edited & saved on my 1020.I don't really care about whether it happens when a document originates on my phone, as I really need to edit existing documents on the go.
As I continue testing this issue, I'm beginning to think more and more that this is a buggy PC Office update, and not something with Cyan/8.1.
Phone not waking up again after an overnight charge??, three times since I got the phone back in June, (but only once since the 8.1 update) the phone won't wake up after a charge and it takes holding the down volume and power button for about 10 seconds to get it to power up, but when it comes on it's reverted to the same date of May 23rd 2014....
View 12 Replies View RelatedAt time i have to double tap 4-5 times before my Lumia 1020 reacts and wakes up. And it can be really slow. My previous Lumia 820 had no issues with this what so ever, it work up instantly and i never had to do multiple double taps.
It's actually completely useless like this (since it ain't double tap but sometimes tap'extravaganza).
I am running Lumia Black build 3051.40000.1345.10285
Lumia 1020 black screen (no response etc) and have to reset the phone?
I did not have this since like last week. Sometimes the phone would reboot itself and now it's going to dark screen and I can't wake it.
I have been experiencing some pretty bad battery life with my 1020. It was getting to the point that with moderate use it was in battery saver mode within 8 hours. I shut off many background tasks, turned off 2 of my 4 email addresses and did some testing. In standby mode the phone dropped from 69% to 55% in about a half hour after a restart. Exasperated I turned off Double Tap to Wake after noticing the 'drains battery' warning. I then charged the phone and went to sleep. Today, with similar usage as normal (about an hour of streaming music, 2 push email accounts, web browsing, texting, etc.) I made it 8 hours and only dropped 39%.
View 24 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated my Lumia 1020 to Lumia Cyan. I've been using WP 8.1.1 with developer preview. Today I left my phone at home, I didn't use it and when I tried to pick it up I actually got scared, it was so extremely hot that I thought it will explode. After few seconds I got warning that battery is low but I know that it was around 70% when iI left it(I've left it only for 1 hour). I turned it off so it could cold before I charge it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've seen many people claim that enabling 'double tap to wake' will drain your battery faster. On the settings page where you enable this setting, Nokia even says "this reduces battery life". I tried to measure it myself. After doing a number of normal discharge cycles with the feature enabled, I did one with it disabled. I didn't change any other settings. I used the phone normally in both runs - very similar usage.
I found that disabling this setting produced no significant change in battery life. In both runs that I compared, my battery level was at about 20% after about 3 days. See the attached graphs for my results. The first graph is with the setting on. After just a little under 3 days it was very close to 20%. The second graph is with the setting off. After exactly 3 days it was a little above 20%. These results are not exactly the same but I don't think they're significantly different. Not as different as I was expecting.
i downgrade to my lumia 1520 to windows OS 8 Black

A vertical cyan line on screen of my Lumia 920, what can I do? May I exchange for another Lumia 920?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI removed the bloatware by simply uninstalling it. Bluetooth off as well as any app that may drain the battery. I could go 24+ hrs before a recharge with minimal usage, but generally beat my phone up on a daily basis between 6am to midnight using Instagram, Facebook, phone calls, texting, Pandora, camera, and youtube and still have 40% battery life.... But that was before 8.1 and Cyan.... Now, at idle it drained 25% in 4hrs sitting next to me while I'm writing an essay!? I did the hard reset, I scrutinized the background apps, I have turned everything off and still draining as I have described....
View 23 Replies View RelatedGot my Cyan 920 on Friday. Immediately had overheating issue while syncing email during first setup. Got super hot at the top, battery drained very quickly. I had turned on Nokia Drive Beta + for just a minute to check it out then didn't use it again. No more heat or battery issues until tonight when I plugged it into my computer to move some video files onto my computer through the file explorer. Phone got very hot at the top and actually started losing battery life even though it showed to be charging (plugged into my laptop). I did not have any apps running intensive processes or syncing/uploading going. I turned off background services for Nokia Drive Beta + (though I hadn't opened it since that initial opening to check it out) then I turned it off and back on and it stopped the overheating and it began to cool. But then I couldn't connect to phone or internet services even though it showed 4 bars of LTE. Turned it off and on again and everything seemed to be working fine, then it began heating up again. Just removed it from my laptop and it is now plugged into the wall charger that came in the phone box (USB). This is unacceptable for a new phone. I had been using a Black Nokia Lumia 900 for several months before upgrading and using Nokia Drive frequently.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince the Lumia Cyan update (2 weeks ago in the UK) the Xbox music live tile no longer works. Before the update ... When you were playing music, the artist picture would show on the tile and then have the name of the artist running across the tile. Looked really nice and smooth.
Since the update though there is nothing. The tile just shows the headphones...
I went to my local at&t store over the weekend to check out the 950 and noticed it wouldn't wake with a double tap, I couldn't find it in the settings so I just figured the setting was buried somewhere but it was verified by 950 users on they're forum that its not in the new OS..

View 6 Replies View RelatedHaving an issue on 8.1 where when the phone is asleep and you press the power button it takes 4-5 seconds before the screen comes on?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is related more to Denim update or enabling "Hey Cortana" but now, when I press the power on button I see the top indicators show up immediately, then after about 10 seconds the rest of the main screen displays.. Subsequently, pressing power off/on will resume immediately, but after a few minutes the same behavior occurs again.
