Aug 27, 2014I have now sent my WP8.1/CYAN LUMIA 1020 to repair (been without a phone for 1 week). All Nokia Service Repair center was to downgrade phone from CYAN to BLACK and said the issue was done. I am not happy with this solution. My camera dies after upgrading to CYAN update.

Aug 17, 2014I'm having some trouble with the Bluetooth in my car since I installed Cyan on my AT&T Lumia 1020 (I'm also running the 8.1 Update One Developer Preview).
My phone will pair just fine to my '13 Subaru Impreza, does not remain paired after shutting off the car and restarting. Seems to have lost it somehow.

Aug 26, 2014I'm using an unlocked ATT 1020 on Tmobile and when I enabled internet sharing, it would tell me to call 611 and request the feature from ATT. But if I disabled LTE, tethering would work and then I could re-enable it. Now, with cyan, the phone recognizes that it's going through tmobile, but states that I don't have the mobile hotspot service (I do have it) and takes me to a message to upgrade my plan. When I click upgrade, it takes me to a page to call Tmobile. Upon calling them, after dealing with someone who swore my plan didn't include tethering (it certainly does), I got transferred to someone else.
After some steps and some research on their side, I was told that the only thing that made sense was that when I changed my plan to a higher data plan (recently, where I was assured nothing would change except the amount of data), the system saw that my phone was not a Tmobile one and kicked tethering off. She stated that there was no way to manually re-add it because it just kicks it off again. For the record, all of the other phones on my plan still work with tethering (one other phone is a non-tmobile iphone). Also, a friend of mine has a 1520.3 on the same plan and cyan actually made internet sharing work when it wasn't working before. So confused and frustrated.
I don't know if this was actually something cyan changed or if it really was the plan change, because I believe the last time I tried internet sharing was before both changes. I want to try my sim card in a pre-cyan, non-tmobile WP and see what happens.

Aug 8, 2014Prior to the Cyan update the uploading from camera roll or just after a pic was very fast. Now it opens the Facebook page when you upload and if you leave the page it stops uploading.

I know it's not my router because all my other devices have maintained the same performance as they always have. Most of the time I get half the signal I used to but sometimes I get no signal at all until I restart.

Sep 11, 2014Her phone was perfect before doing the updates. Now, she claims the BT just turns off and won't turn back on (in the car, connected to the car audio system). I looked at her phone the other day and sure enough, BT and WIFI were both OFF, and when I tried to turn them on, it said something like "Sorry, can't to that right now. Try again later.". Turned off phone and turned back on, and it's fine...for a while, then does the same thing.

Aug 30, 2014After receiving the Cyan and 8.1 update (weeks ago), anytime I edit an office document with my 1020 which resides on OneDrive, I am then unable to open it again on my PC. I receive the following:
This has happened with Word and Excel documents.Edit and save went fine, with no errors or upload issues.Both times, the document originated on my PC (Win8.1, Office 2013), and I edited & saved on my 1020.I don't really care about whether it happens when a document originates on my phone, as I really need to edit existing documents on the go.
As I continue testing this issue, I'm beginning to think more and more that this is a buggy PC Office update, and not something with Cyan/8.1.
Lumia 1020 :: Taking Low Light Outdoor Pictures With Flash On - Getting Red Blur
Nov 2, 2014My friend is having a problem with his Lumia 1020 when taking low light outdoor pictures with flash on.
He says that everything is fine during the day and when he is taking indoor low light pictures with the flash, but as soon as he take outdoor picture he is getting some kind of red blur in the top center of the photo, he sent me two examples:
His phone is on 8.1 and he is not sure is it software or hardware related.
Lumia 1020 :: No Longer Preview Photos Taken On Camera After Update
Jun 26, 2014I installed a new camera update on my 1020 the other day and I can no longer preview the photo immediately after taking the picture.
The only way to view it now is by checking it in the gallery. It was handy to preview the photo to check whether I needed to re-shoot it due to blurriness, blinking etc..
I've checked all the settings and I can't find an option to bring it back.

Apr 11, 2013After changing from sony xperia M5 to sony xperia Z5 i can see big difference in photo especially in indoor and low light photo. Xperia z5 photo are very noisy and no detail when zooming , my old z3 better than z5 and new high midrange m5 better also.
How can beat other new flagahip phone like s6 and note 5 and lg g4 in less detail and noisy pictures.
Also we have a big problem in sony at 20-23 mp in manual mode . No iso settings and no scene can be changed. Sony now have to advertise to sell z5 but the surprise in this camera and bad software.
No iso in 23 mp and 20mp it is a big problem now. We don't need sceen changing in high mp but iso in manual is very necessary.

Aug 3, 2014i have noticed that, when im taking a Photo with SmartCam, and later im going to save my edited Photo. I can only save one edited Photo from the original file. How can i save 2 different edited Photos? When i go back and i want to edit/save another Photo from the original file, it always overwrites the last saved/edited Photo.
When i take a Photo and i edit it, for example i zoom into a area, and save that zoomed part, it always replace the last edited Photo from the original file.

Lumia 1020 :: Camera Photos All Turn Out With A Strong Lime Green Tint
Oct 20, 2013It makes no difference which Nokia "Camera" I use. The photos all turn out with a strong lime green tint. I've tried three 1020s now and am about to give up. I took a picture of friends in their living room, which was cream with neutral earth tone colors. It came out green on green. I took another of friends in a sand beige painted classroom. The walls came out a sickly lime green.
The only commonality in both situations was that one person in each grouping was wearing lime green, so I went back to the classroom to try again. With the classroom empty, the photo still came out lime green.

Oct 2, 2014Yesterday I updated my Lumia 1020 to Lumia Cyan. I've been using WP 8.1.1 with developer preview. Today I left my phone at home, I didn't use it and when I tried to pick it up I actually got scared, it was so extremely hot that I thought it will explode. After few seconds I got warning that battery is low but I know that it was around 70% when iI left it(I've left it only for 1 hour). I turned it off so it could cold before I charge it.

Jan 1, 2015I use Lumia Camera or Proshot to capture most of my photos, while also using the native camera app when I want to take burst photos.
For the Lumia Camera, I usually go for JPEG (5 + 34/38 MP), changing aspect ratio now and then. Sometimes, 5 MP photos are fine, but the 34/38 MP ones will get corrupted, i.e. they will either be just green or grey backgrounds. Same thing also tends to happen with DNG files, that they cannot be opened by Photoshop or some other software.
This issue (corrupt high-res photos) also tend to happen with Proshot when shooting with high-res.
Performing a soft reset solved the problem, but I'm getting tired of soft resetting my phone every now and then.
I've attached 3 screenshots.
1: Basic viewing of the 5 MP photo. No issue here.
2: When I pressed "Open with Lumia Camera", this green photo happens. Instead of a high-res photo, I get a high-res green background.
3: Using a File Explorer, you can see that the photos affected are the high res ones from Lumia Camera. Also happens with ProShot's high-res photos.

Aug 3, 2013When I try and take my photos off the 1020 with my PC it only shows one of each photo I took I think its the 34mp photos but not sure I thought it would have doubles of each photo a 5mp and a 34mp since I got it set to save both in the pro camera settings ...
Does it saves both to camera roll or does it save the 5mp somewhere else for sharing from the phone cause only one copy of each photo is on the phone camera roll ...
