Whenever I go to highlight a word to correct, and the dropdown menu appears, the keyboard blocks it. It's as if the keyboard is drawing on top of everything else on screen, it happens with all keyboards I've tried; LG keyboard, Ginger Keyboard, and Google Keyboard(my current).
View 7 RepliesI have ics installed in sk17i. I cannot disable the word suggestions that come on top of the on board keyboard which result in lesser space to view when writing a message. I have checked out language and input settings and disabled all learning words and no suggestion required from the keyboard. Also have changed the settings that come in the on board keyboard doing the same there. However the word suggestion still comes. The hardware qwerty keypad however doesn't show any suggestion.

How do you add another tile to that drop down menu? I want to add volume control as its the only thing missing that I use all the time. It's driving me nuts because at the moment the only way to silence my phone is to hold down the volume key. I went through all the settings and didnt see the "notification drawer" option anywhere.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I was using my x10 when it was only 1.6, when you typed a letter using the android keyboard, it would give multiple word suggestions (ie. i - is, it, in, etc.) which helped a lot. But with 2.1, if I turn it's word suggestions, it only provides me with proper names or contact names.Any way to allow 2.1 to use word suggestions other than these proper/contact names? I don't like the default keyboard.

While being in the search screen, when I tap the home button (to return to the 1st menu screen) it actually returns me to the first menu screenas it should but does not remove (hide) the search keybord! So, half of the menu screen is hidden under the keyboard. I can scroll to the 2nd screen and so on but I cansee (and tap) only the half of each screen as the other half is under the keyboard ... I solve the problem either by restartingthe phone or by just pressing the power button (getting the phone in sleep mode and then come back).

I am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.
I do not currently have a smart phone. Just how much data is 200mb and I'm trying to figure out if that will be enough for me. I'll do the occasional surfing, GPS, online aps and when I'm at home I can be on my own network.
Can anyone give me an idea of comparison to know if this will meet my needs?
I wonder whether Nolia is able to upgrade the lookup function in the E75 to include using the company name to search for the address.
