New ios5.1 crashed my iphone4s and backup last night. Now in the process of setting up email accounts again and [URL] account is not giving me the option to set up as imap (only pop). It used to be imap and my ipad2 is still imap.

After upgrading to Belle FP2 I can only set Exchange ActiveSync accounts, and only one at a time. The "other" option to set other types of email is no longer available. How can I configure IMAP/POP3 accounts?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a X10 mini pro which, so far, is really impressive to me. I really like it. I wanted something small but still close to a smart phone and that's exactly what it is.
Anyway, I cannot add my email server setup. I use IMAP under SSL but with a self signed certificate. All my other phones or computer take it but warn me about the self signed certificates. The X10 mini pro just says that it cannot validate my server settings!
I have a new-to-me device, after my original Curve 8530 had to be sent back to the carrier. I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."

It is set up now as an IMAP but I seem to get emails 30min or more after I receive them on my laptop wich has windows live on it set as POP3. My old droid incredible was set up as POP I also use charter email wich always seems to give people issues..I am wondering wich to use to get emails both on my phone and laptop the best. I also use Exchange sync for work and that works flawlessly. The rest of the phone is great.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen restarted my computer and reconnects my iPhone, it now prompts saying that iPhone in recovery mode and I must restore before it can be used with iTunes. I am very sure there's 2 backup copies in my (default designated) computer folder, with one being dated 12Mar (the day of updating). I browsed the computer folder while waiting for the downloads in iTunes.
However the backup folder is now empty!! and I can't restore to any previous backup, and my phone cannot be turn on. The iTunes restore button asked if I wanted to restore to original factory settings. How could this happen?!! My Recycle bin has this item "iPhone3,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw".
How can I retreive my previous phone backup, or just return to iOS5.0.1 with its data prior to the 5.1?

I got my phone unlocked and the new Sim card is working fine for everything but emails. There isnt even an option to set-up the email accounts!!
I contacted Vodafone and they said that the phone had already been registered with an email server. Which it has beacause i was using it with my other Orange contract. All they could suggest was buying a new handset!! But surely that means if anyone sells their blackberry handset, the new owner wont be able to use email, this cant be right.

How do I get all the email setup options back?The Torch was to replace a Bold stolen the day before. It was PIN protected but not backed up, nor did it have recovery or tracking software. My e-mail setup goes direct to Enterprise Account activation - no option to select internet mail account or Enterprise e-mail. Email setup? When I go to the Email Accounts setup page, it explains that I can activate my enterprise account by entering my email address and activation password. I'd be happy to do that, if I had an enterprise account, which I believe (cld. be wrong) is what companies use. I'm just an ordinary user, not using the phone via my company - but I can't see any other option on the setup page. Is there another way I can setup email?

- Use my own email address (personal address) or create a new one
- Use my Enterprise email address
But when I launch Email setup on my curve 9360, I have only the Enterprise option so that I Cannot setup email! My 9360 runs under OS 7.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed the newest OS for my Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647). I lost all of my passwords and email accounts. Just go to Setup, select Email Accounts and add all of my accounts back. When I go to Setup there are 2 envelope icons that say "Email Accounts" where there used to be only 1. When I click on either of them it takes me to the "Select the type of email account type:"
Here we have 2 options: Internet Mail Account or Enterprise Account. When I click on Internet Mail Account it takes me right back to Setup, so I select "Email Accounts" again, and then Internet Mail Account and again my phone goes right back to Setup. It just goes around and around in circles and never gives me the option of actually adding an email account. From setup to select type and right back to setup. I have taken the battery out to no avail.

I have recently done a device switch to my new BB and two email accounts were part of the switch transfer.
One works fine, however my gmail acount has not been receiving messages. When I go into setup email I constantly get 'Cannot connect to server' and then it exits back to the setup menu. This means I cannot edit any email profile I have. Removing the battery and restarting has no effect.
Any way to delete the offending email account and re-add or getting it working.
