i clicked on a facebook link while using my iPhone 4S and now find out it was bogus and will send spam mail and instal malware. how can I tell if the iPhone has been infected.

I'm trying to determine if a rogue tracking application is installed on a 8110. The feeling is that all correspondance is being viewed somehow and belived that there is an application reporting to a server calls made/received, emails sent/received, texts sent/received because individual (not owner) is able to voice these things verbatim. I know there are applications like cell phone recon and others that do this type of stuff but difficult to determine if installed. I have an backup IPD and have looked at handheld agents installed via ABC Amber and Paraben.

While I did not follow the link to the phishing website, I did click on a couple of other links (Transaction ID, etc.) and when disccusing the matter with PayPal, it was suggested I may have infected my iPhone with malware. My phone was given to me by someone else but I did a complete reset and deleted their data and started using the phone.Everything was fine until I went on to a few questionable websites. Having clicked a few links, I found that new tabs were spontaneously opening in the safari browser and the app store kept kicking me out of my web session and inviting me to install some app.Â
As far as I am knowledgable, the phone is not jailbroken (if it was this would have been rectified when I did the reset, correct?).And as far as I know, the phone is very much safe, as long as it is not jailbroken, from malware etc. I did yet another reset, several intact, and I had a similar issue. This time though when I did the latest reset I did not include my iCloud and apple id credentials during the set up for fear of getting hacked. Â
The problem now is I have the issue on the phone, there is a lot of data, numbers and pictures I would like to transfer to my computer but I am 1) fearful of connecting it and 2) afraid to type in an email and password to send my data to myself, or even sync everything with iCloud.Â
The phone is also terribly slow, I don't know if this is a malware problem or if it is, as I read others have said the same online, the phone being too underpowered to support iOS 7.Â

It just works sometimes. In the most of the time in the most places the Maps cannot determine current location. if the compass show the latitude and longitude Is it because Beidou GPS run by Chlna government blocks iPhone or what?

I have an iPhone 4 which does not turn ON nor charge. If I plug it on iTunes, it says it is on restore mode but the screen is black so it's stuck on DFU mode. I am not sure if I need to change battery or it's with the logic board. Due to syncing glitches, I have ended up with many duplicate contacts that are not exactly the same. I cannot determine which ones to delete, because I cannot determine which version has the newest information. I do not want to carry around an extra several thousand inaccurate contacts on my iPhone and iPad. The original contacts database on my computer has diverged from my iPhone/iPad databases, so I can't necessarily go back to that one, again because I cannot determine which version is newer. Is there a way to get the modification date of a contact to show up?

Recently I tried using Astro to try and find a file I had on my phone only to find my phone got stuck in some never ending loop on a folder called thumb2 in the osh directory. After it got to about 2 gigs in size I figured it wasn't going to stop and cancelled the search. I looked in the folder my self only to find it kept looping back onto its self. What is this folder? I have searched the online manual and it shows me every icon but this one. Usually, when you tap on said status bar, a list of alert drops down. I've tried creating a new Apple ID to download the app, swapping the Apple ID associated with Apple Configurator, different phones (I have 25 to deploy) and all with the same problem.
I can only find one other mention of this problem [URL] and there's no solution. I'm hoping somebody else will ahve experienced this and found an answer.

I got my 6p last week and it's been running great until this afternoon. It got warm and the battery level drops by 70's at around 10am to low 30's at 4pm; during that time it was mostly on airplane mode with all sync/bluetooth/gps turned off.
When I checked the battery history it says that the GPS has been on for over 7 hours. I certainly did not turn on the gps myself (I turned off location), and I do NOT have smart lock.
Question: How can I determine which apps/processes turn on the GPS?
I also notice that "Miscellanenous" is responsible for 29% of the battery use.
Question: What the heck is that? How can I turn it off?

I am using my Atrix 2 only on WiFi (I have taken out of sim Card) in a foreign country.Google Maps, News and Weather apps are not able to determine my current location.Also, the stock weather widget inaccurately determines the location. Also when I go to google.com and yahoo.com from my browser, it goes to the customized page of the foreign country. Also, the location is enabled for WiFi and disabled for GPS. Since, I only using WiFi, using GPS is not useful.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed the Blackberry messenger on my Bold 9000. It's fully functional.I have 4 small icons now, indicating that I have new messages, but I can't find any new once.
Looking into this matter I found that in my Application Center, the BB Messenger is listed as "not installed" even though I installed it. Re-install also hasn't helped.i cannot delete it as "delete" is not listed in the menu. I'm also not able to see the application using teh Desktop Manager.
so my question are:
1) How can I find out what are the 4 icons indicating?
2) How can de-install my messenger now to just start from scratch?
Just want to ask if 5800 will be able to determined the text messages came from in the standby screen? is it like the samsung phones that you'll already know the person's name who texted you?
