View 12 RepliesI received a ficticious phishing email puportedly from PayPal advising of a payment of $135.50 to someone I had never hear of and offering access to my account which obviously was a phishing sceme. While I did not follow the link to the phishing website, I did click on a couple of other links (Transaction ID, etc.) and when disccusing the matter with PayPal, it was suggested I may have infected my iPhone with malware. How do I scan my iPhone for malware?

My phone was given to me by someone else but I did a complete reset and deleted their data and started using the phone.Everything was fine until I went on to a few questionable websites. Having clicked a few links, I found that new tabs were spontaneously opening in the safari browser and the app store kept kicking me out of my web session and inviting me to install some app.Â
As far as I am knowledgable, the phone is not jailbroken (if it was this would have been rectified when I did the reset, correct?).And as far as I know, the phone is very much safe, as long as it is not jailbroken, from malware etc. I did yet another reset, several intact, and I had a similar issue. This time though when I did the latest reset I did not include my iCloud and apple id credentials during the set up for fear of getting hacked. Â
The problem now is I have the issue on the phone, there is a lot of data, numbers and pictures I would like to transfer to my computer but I am 1) fearful of connecting it and 2) afraid to type in an email and password to send my data to myself, or even sync everything with iCloud.Â
The phone is also terribly slow, I don't know if this is a malware problem or if it is, as I read others have said the same online, the phone being too underpowered to support iOS 7.Â

Although Google has removed the respective apps (over 50 of them) which were infected with malware called DroidDream which is a Trojan, users may have compromised their phones already since an estimated 200,000 downloads took place before the malware was discovered.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the past week my lumia 1020 has acted VERY odd: battery drain (have to charge it twice a day) it heats up when I'm not using it, Apps open by themselves, tiles on my home screen keep moving around. Every time I open my phone, which is often, a random app has been activated: anything from my calendar to facebook to satnav.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a stock non rooted or modded Atrix running up todate firmware. Recently I tried using Astro to try and find a file I had on my phone only to find my phone got stuck in some never ending loop on a folder called thumb2 in the osh directory. After it got to about 2 gigs in size I figured it wasn't going to stop and cancelled the search. I looked in the folder my self only to find it kept looping back onto its self. What is this folder? Did I get some sort of virus or malware on my phone? Would it ruin anything if I deleted the folder seeing how its just keeps looping on it self?

I bought a 4s about 3 months ago, and have been using the new earphones with it. In the last few days, as I'll be listning to music, there has been a popping noise coming from just one of the earphones. It doesn't sound like an electronic pop, like coming from the music or whatever, but it sounds like there is actually something clicking/popping inside the earphone. Could there literally be something inside that's doing that? Or is it a software issue that sounds like a physically created noise? Can I get my headohones replaced?

My iPhone 4S is shutting down without warning, no low battery warning or anything, and it will not come back on until I reset it. Today the battery has been at 100% charge all day, and I have been using the phone, apps, messaging, etc.

Everytime I end a call a screen will show up asking me to enter my voice mail password. If I click cancel it will show up again once more, another cancel, and it will go away. But if I enter something and click ok, it will just keep coming back.
Here's the thing though...I don't have a voice mail password.
My visual voice mail does not work and my phone will not tell me if I have a voice mail or not. I called my voice mail and went to the option to turn off my voice mail password, yet it didn't do anything.
I tried making a password then getting rid of it, hard reset, restore, everything and nothing seems to work. I was hoping iOS4 would do something to fix it but no luck.
Also, this screen will also show up if I have no service and then regain it. (It also tells me if I have a voice mail only if I have no service, which is pretty much never).
Any ideas?
I was wondering if its possible to disable my characters from popping out when I type them. On the iOS 7 keyboard every time I type a letter or number the letter pops out/up.Â

So for some reason whenever I sync my iphone some song just wont sync. They're imported into itunes, and show up there, but whenever I sync they don't show up. Yes they are selected to sync, and yes I've tried doing a soft reset and even a restore. I've also tried it on an iphone 4 and the same thing happens. I've reinstalled itunes with no luck.

I got same temperature warning message. I hadn't used my iphone 4 all day, and when i got a call from a friend, after a few minutes of talk time, my call was dropped and had received the error message...INSIDE my house with thermostat set to 67 F ! I do notice that a spot on the lower left corner of the backside seemed warmer. I tried to call again, but got the same message in even less time. My phone is about 2-3 mo old, no damage of any kind. Another thing (possibly unrelated) a few days before the battery completely died. When i plugged the charger in and tried to make a call, the call would drop giving me a battery error while still plugged into external power! I have never had that experience with any other phone. I have powered the phone completely off to see if that helps. And changed settings like turning off location.

I deleted a calendar event from my iPhone 4S after the event but it keeps popping up on my phone as an alert every single day. I might have set it to recurring which I don't remember but even if I did I deleted the event itself. I sync my phone with my laptop everyday but I don't understand how I get an alert on my phone when I already deleted it. The worse part is I cant find this event anywhere on my phone but it pops up before lunch time every single day and its so annoying now. What I should do to get rid of this recurring event that I already deleted.
