I bought a 4s about 3 months ago, and have been using the new earphones with it. In the last few days, as I'll be listning to music, there has been a popping noise coming from just one of the earphones. It doesn't sound like an electronic pop, like coming from the music or whatever, but it sounds like there is actually something clicking/popping inside the earphone. Could there literally be something inside that's doing that? Or is it a software issue that sounds like a physically created noise? Can I get my headohones replaced?
Whenever I complete an action that requires sound (refreshing Twitter, refreshing Blinkfeed, playing a song, typing on the keyboard) there will be this short popping noise afterwards. When I hold the top speaker to my ear after doing one of these actions I can hear something going on in the phone like it's powering on/off or something and then at the end there is this pop noise. I turned off "Touch Sounds" bc that was causing it to happen constantly but there doesn't seem to be any way around this outside of disabling all sounds on the phone.
First I thought that the song I was paying was the problem (error in recording), secondly I tried to find the balance between the left and the right channel (Settings-General-Accessibility under the heading Hearing). I started to slide the bar to maximize the volume first Left, then Right. In my case the volume was much higher on the right channel (microphone installed on the cord). To eliminate a potential song error I doubled checked the same mp3 song in another player and it worked out fine. So, the last thing I could do was to buy a new set of Apples earphones. I unpacked them and then it worked better for a few weeks time but now I'm back where I started. Same problem.
i bought the new iphone 4s last 2 weeks. but now my earphone damage. i can hear the person online voice but they can't hear me. i suspect my mic is not working how to solve this?
My iphone 4s speaker is not working. I couldn't even listen any sound except calling with earphone., My iphone 4s speaker is not working. I couldn't even listen any sound except calling with earphone.
I just updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 5.1 yesterday, and now I noticed that the volume control buttons on the earphone are not working. I can still listen to music and the pause button is still working. Is it caused by the update?
Sometimes when i listen to my music, it just randomly stops (music keeps playing) but the sound is not coming from earphones and not even speaker. I have to shut the music down, turn the phone to silent mode and wait a while, then it switches back to normal mode, and i can play the music JUST from the speaker, it just doesnt detect my earphones, and when this happens, the microphone is not working either. It's just completely deaf and I have to smash the iphone from the back reaaaally hard to get it working again.Â
Im currently running on iOS 7.1.1, this phone is a replacement unit which i got a while ago, so the warranty is expired, so if that is hardware issue (hopefully its not) i cant get it repaired or something ? Or can Apple make an exception..Â
My iPhone won't play musi through the speaker but when I use my headphones or axillary cord it still works, it also still plays message tones as well as to grows, very strange. My settings are all fine what should I do??
Tried to update my i-phone with the latest software, but my phone ended up in recovery mode. I tried to restore the phone to the original settings, but unknown error 1 keeps on popping up half way through the restore.
Periodically an apple id password message pops up on my iPhone 4 when i am not downloading an app or other function that would requird p/w to be entered. How do I get rid of this?
Everytime I end a call a screen will show up asking me to enter my voice mail password. If I click cancel it will show up again once more, another cancel, and it will go away. But if I enter something and click ok, it will just keep coming back.
Here's the thing though...I don't have a voice mail password.
My visual voice mail does not work and my phone will not tell me if I have a voice mail or not. I called my voice mail and went to the option to turn off my voice mail password, yet it didn't do anything.
I tried making a password then getting rid of it, hard reset, restore, everything and nothing seems to work. I was hoping iOS4 would do something to fix it but no luck.
Also, this screen will also show up if I have no service and then regain it. (It also tells me if I have a voice mail only if I have no service, which is pretty much never).
I was wondering if its possible to disable my characters from popping out when I type them. On the iOS 7 keyboard every time I type a letter or number the letter pops out/up.Â
iPhone 4s: why does app store keep popping up "security info required"? This happens after I put in my password. Is this something to be concerned about?
I deleted a calendar event from my iPhone 4S after the event but it keeps popping up on my phone as an alert every single day. I might have set it to recurring which I don't remember but even if I did I deleted the event itself. I sync my phone with my laptop everyday but I don't understand how I get an alert on my phone when I already deleted it. The worse part is I cant find this event anywhere on my phone but it pops up before lunch time every single day and its so annoying now. What I should do to get rid of this recurring event that I already deleted.
Ever since I updated the OS on my iPhone 4S, the iCloud sign in window pops up every time I start the phone or when it has gone to sleep. Is there any way to stop this annoying feature? I don't use iCloud, don't trust it, so I have no need to sign in to it whenever I use my phone.
This is an odd one. I have a Curve 9300. I play music through my earphones and there has never been a problem. Today however, i cannot get the pin to go into the portal - it seems to have been sealed. Tried other normally compatible plug ins, but they too are blocked.
when i charge it using computer. the iphone logo keep popping.. then if i charge it direct in plug.. its say that please connect in itune..but i cant connect it..
I've just came back from Vodafone with a brand new Nokia E72 and very pleased with it, however I've installed Spotify and streamed some music from it, it sounds fine when using the bundled earphones but if I use my iPod earphones or Skullcandy's it sounds awful like its only coming out of one ear, can anyone help?
I have recently acquired a Shure SE 102 MPA earphone+microphone (used in the past successfully, with other cell phones), just to find out that it is not compatible with the N900. The specs are here:
But this is relevant as much as trying to find an answer to my question: what such devices (reputable names prefered - Shure, Bose, etc.) are actually compatible with Nokia N900? I would not give up my phone (yet), so I'll have to dump the Shure newly acquired device, but I still need something (lost my original N900 earphone, and - as far as it quality was concerned - I an not that thrilled about getting a new one like that form Nokia)
I have a Lumia 900 with Rogers (Canada), post update. I can't seem to hear well when earphones/earbuds are connected, even with the volume at 30/30 (I can hear a bit at 30/30 when there is no ambient noise, but can barely hear anything when I try to use the device at the gym). The spearkers are nice and loud when no earphones are connected. I've tried with 3 different earphones (including the ones that came with the phone) that all have the same problem. I didn't have this problem with my previous Samsung Focus.
