View 6 RepliesI have a Lumia 900 with Rogers (Canada), post update. I can't seem to hear well when earphones/earbuds are connected, even with the volume at 30/30 (I can hear a bit at 30/30 when there is no ambient noise, but can barely hear anything when I try to use the device at the gym). The spearkers are nice and loud when no earphones are connected. I've tried with 3 different earphones (including the ones that came with the phone) that all have the same problem. I didn't have this problem with my previous Samsung Focus.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst I thought that the song I was paying was the problem (error in recording), secondly I tried to find the balance between the left and the right channel (Settings-General-Accessibility under the heading Hearing). I started to slide the bar to maximize the volume first Left, then Right. In my case the volume was much higher on the right channel (microphone installed on the cord). To eliminate a potential song error I doubled checked the same mp3 song in another player and it worked out fine. So, the last thing I could do was to buy a new set of Apples earphones. I unpacked them and then it worked better for a few weeks time but now I'm back where I started. Same problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo recently i noticed on my fairly new Xperia Z3, that the call sound volume went extremely low. Since all other sounds from the upper speaker work normally and on normal volume (media, ringtone, notifications), I'm guessing it has nothing to do with hardware.I have read the other support replies and ''solutions'', and i have tried a fair amount of them, but none worked.
View 7 Replies View RelatedA few days ago, I connected my X6 to my car radio system, which went along with some cracking. Since then the volume of any voice played via headset or earphone is too low while music continues to play at regular volume. Putting my phone back to factory settings didn't help. Do I have to go for a hard reset?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 5.1 yesterday, and now I noticed that the volume control buttons on the earphone are not working. I can still listen to music and the pause button is still working. Is it caused by the update?

A volume setting is stored for playback through the iPhone's speaker, and another for when earphones are plugged in.
I have noticed since updating to iOS 5.1 that the volume slider in the Music app sometimes displays the "speaker" level during "earphone" playback when switching between the two modes.
Although the slider displays the incorrect volume level, the playback is at the earphone setting's volume, not the displayed volume.
N.B. I have an iPhone 3GS, and the performance of the Music app has degraded with each iOS update; this seems to be due to the core software growing more complex. It is possible that there is just a very long delay between loading the Music app, it recognising the earphones are plugged in, and the volume slider widget being updated accordingly. I will report back with more clarification after more observation.

I've just came back from Vodafone with a brand new Nokia E72 and very pleased with it, however I've installed Spotify and streamed some music from it, it sounds fine when using the bundled earphones but if I use my iPod earphones or Skullcandy's it sounds awful like its only coming out of one ear, can anyone help?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently acquired a Shure SE 102 MPA earphone+microphone (used in the past successfully, with other cell phones), just to find out that it is not compatible with the N900. The specs are here:
http://shure.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/shure.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3803
But this is relevant as much as trying to find an answer to my question: what such devices (reputable names prefered - Shure, Bose, etc.) are actually compatible with Nokia N900? I would not give up my phone (yet), so I'll have to dump the Shure newly acquired device, but I still need something (lost my original N900 earphone, and - as far as it quality was concerned - I an not that thrilled about getting a new one like that form Nokia)
I found out that if the button/clicker on the earphone included with Nokia 808 phone is held pressed during plugging, the volume level become suddenly tremendeously loud, almost deafening.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an E71 and was using an old earphone for handsfree in car. Although the headphone is not high quality, it worked perfectly and I was well pleased. I attempted to use it recently but was surprised to find that my phone couldn't "see" the earpiece anymore. I have done the obvious things in bluetooth settings and even tried pairing another earpiece but still no joy.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI find the call volume very low even in a quiet environment. If outside, I find it very difficult to hear what my clients have said. One fact business people love blackberry is because it has got good call and ringtone volume.N900's ringtone volume is good, but the call volume is just too low. (I have already used the side button to max the call volume, the strange thing is, 50% and 100% make very little difference...)

This is an odd one. I have a Curve 9300. I play music through my earphones and there has never been a problem. Today however, i cannot get the pin to go into the portal - it seems to have been sealed. Tried other normally compatible plug ins, but they too are blocked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought xperia x10 few days back...I updated it to Android 2.1. even when my earphones are connected to the phone , when a call comes i am not able to hear the ringtone in my earphone. I am also not able to attend calls by pressing the silver button in my earphones. I have to take my phone out of my pocket, attend the call and then i am able to talk via the earphone mic. This totally dissolves the purpose of using earphones for calls. Is this a defect in my phone or is this how it is designed to work?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a 4s about 3 months ago, and have been using the new earphones with it. In the last few days, as I'll be listning to music, there has been a popping noise coming from just one of the earphones. It doesn't sound like an electronic pop, like coming from the music or whatever, but it sounds like there is actually something clicking/popping inside the earphone. Could there literally be something inside that's doing that? Or is it a software issue that sounds like a physically created noise? Can I get my headohones replaced?

this has been constantly happening to me on multiple sets of headphones. it appears the music player thinks that when the headphones are connected to the xoom that you must want to play music. last night i was watching Internet and all of a sudden a song in my music started playing when i went back to a prior video i was watching. many times prior to this i was listening to music in my mp3 app and music started playing from the music app.
i left my headphones connected all night with my xoom asleep not charging and just now i couldn't get my screen to come on. i was sure that the battery must have drained so i plugged it in and held the power button to get it to start and nothing happened. my charger was plugged in too. i was scared there for a bit until i unplugged the charger from the xoom and my screen came on asking me if i was sure i wanted to shut down. i had 56% battery. so i was able to continue. then all of a sudden my music started playing again.
I cannot connect my Plantronics bluetooth earphone. I have Android 2 and I am doing all the stuff, but my phone does not recon it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently got the Moto X and out of nowhere, I can only hear audio through one ear when having headphones plugged in. I've used compressed air and blew it in there and I've tested both headphones that I used on the phone on my laptop and they work perfectly. I probably have to send it in for warranty. I can't find the repair request form for Canada and when I do the request online it says "The IMEI is from a different country so you can't get it fixed in the United States." or something along those lines.
