Xperia Pro/L :: No Earpiece / Earphone Sound On Brand New Neo V
Aug 27, 2012
I just got a brand new Xperia Neo V phone. As soon as I turned it on and tried making a call, I was shocked to see that there was no sound from earpiece. Soon I discovered that speakerphone/headphones are working fine but the earpiece.
My xperia phone's jack isn't working. When I put my earphone into the jack, I get no sound except a buzzing sound. My earphones work fine on other phones; the speakers on the phone work fine as well and other earphones also give a buzzing sound when used on the phone.
When I make calls and recieve calls, no sound comes from the earpiece at the top, the volume level is maxed out and nothing. Then when I go and press the speaker it works. The phone is only 1 week old... the only thing installed is battery doctor
My iphone 4s speaker is not working. I couldn't even listen any sound except calling with earphone., My iphone 4s speaker is not working. I couldn't even listen any sound except calling with earphone.
Got my phone Thursday, setup went fine. Took a phone call on Friday. Sound was fine. Later that night, I used my Aux input in my car to listen to something off my phone. This morning I got a phone call, and couldn't hear anything. Retried the call a few times. Rebooted, same thing. Switch to speaker phone, I can hear a phone call fine. Ideas? Hardware or software?
My LG G3 has been acting up lately. I can't hear a thing through the earpiece when I'm making and receiving calls. Call quality is okay because I can hear clearly if I put it on speakerphone. I don't know if this is a software issue or hardware. I'm afraid that when my phone is heating, the earpiece is getting damaged or something.
I have no sound when receiving a call through the earpiece. The caller can hear me and the bottom speakers work fine. I can only hear when using headphones or speaker mode. Have tried restarting, tapping the earphone speaker, blowing into it..
I have nokia E5 6 months used now I had earpiece problem if any one calls me I cannot hear sound through earpiece but when I activate loud speaker then I hear sound.
Had my storm 2 for 3 weeks now all going well until the weekend when the sound through the earpiece is muffled, I've tried all the sound settings that I can find but no difference.
My wife has a W380i when she calls a person or receives a call, she has to put the phone on speaker for herself or them to be heard we have tried turning up volume and changing profiles etc. Why? All other functions are fine i.e. walkman, games plenty of volume.
I have tried multiple resets, checked all the settings and the slider switch on the side. I didn't notice there was no sound until I got home from the store with it.
I bought xperia x10 few days back...I updated it to Android 2.1. even when my earphones are connected to the phone , when a call comes i am not able to hear the ringtone in my earphone. I am also not able to attend calls by pressing the silver button in my earphones. I have to take my phone out of my pocket, attend the call and then i am able to talk via the earphone mic. This totally dissolves the purpose of using earphones for calls. Is this a defect in my phone or is this how it is designed to work?
My ear (top) speaker keeps cutting out while I'm on the phone with people, tried safe mode problem still there, tried factory reset problem is still there and now I've tried the service test for earphone and speaker and it's working fine.
So recently i noticed on my fairly new Xperia Z3, that the call sound volume went extremely low. Since all other sounds from the upper speaker work normally and on normal volume (media, ringtone, notifications), I'm guessing it has nothing to do with hardware.I have read the other support replies and ''solutions'', and i have tried a fair amount of them, but none worked.
after updating my phone to .587 earphone speaker is not working. i am unable to hear the voice while calling but the same is heard while it is in speaker. while having service test ie *#*#service#*#* the earphone speaker is working fine
my xperia mini pro android 4.0.4 baseband 72 had electro static noise.when i rebooted i cant hear any music on earphone.when ever i play music through earphones it starts playng in the speaker.
It Stutter a lot when I talk So I buy an App called DAF Professional to To reduce my Stutter but I must use EarPhone with this App when I make a phone call.
The problem is When I make a call in my Xperia Z2 the EarPhone always Stop working? How can I enable using my EarPhone During the call, in order to use this program.
My brand new Xperia X10 worked for around 15 minutes after I took it out of the box, and then went dead. I charged it for around 10 hours, but it still does not switch on.
When i put on the headphones for listening to music it doesn't come any music from them, except in the mobile instead and when i turn on the little earpiece that came with your mobile they work perfectly. I do not like the little things! Why is this happening and how do i fix it?
is there anythign that can be done to stop the screen flickering or is this a manufacturing fault. only had it a few days and not noticed it until this morning (updated software last night to lates version as instructed by SE) please help - is there anything that can be done to put it right or does it need to be sent back to where I bought it from?
Is there any official solution to my newly bought xperia mini st15i? Its brand new but when i plugged to charge or to connect to pc, suddenly the touchscreen become abnormal or unstable. How can I fix this? and when i see my SI 1246-7912 and found out that theres no available ICS update for this device even if i connected and try update using latest PC Companion still no update..
Is there any safe or official fix for these problem with my new st15i?
Is it not possible to to uae wifi direct with other brands like Samsung S3,5,6 or others? Because im trying to copy some huge file using wifi direct but it was unsuccessful.
I listen to the phone's FM radio a lot and and play some of my music, and that side of it is important for me. I have a few different earpieces/buds including a couple of SE's that have come with various phones, All was fine yesterday, but this morning I went to listen to some music and the sound was barealy audible - it was playing, but through the earpieces it was extremely feint. Plays fine through the speaker however. I tried six different earpieces, one that came with the phone so is known to be compatible, one that came with my second phone an X10 mini, and two that are generic but work fine with the Ray, and they all had barely-audible sound the same.
I tried the same earphiones with the X10 mini, and all work fine so the earphones are all functioning perfectly.I downloaded a free music player app to test a new installation/registry/files/whatever, but same results. So I suspected a software fault, and did a factory reset (yes, it is that important to me) but still with the same result.BUT that was when I noticed ... when recreating a couple of things again I brought up the FM radio to have it scan for stations as the reset left it empty. Although it recognised that the earpiece/aerial was connected ok there was no movement of the scanning progress-bar/window and then it closed down leaving the tuning-scale on screen but no stations ... I could manually swipe up and down the tuning scale no problem, however no stations were heard/found/registered.
I repeated the 'empty' radio on the X10 mini so I could test the earpiece/aerial function, and when then retuning-in it found all the stations in a heartbeat with both SE earpoeces - I didn't bother to repeat it any further with the others, no point. It is easy to suspect the earpieces until they play the music fine on the other phone and also scan/play FM radio channels... and it is also easy to suspect the phono/wire/connection until you realise that they are transmitting the played music just not at a listenable volume without straining... and also i is easy to think the aerial-function is faulty and it doesn't interface, until on another phone it grabs plenty of channels in its scan in just moments It hasn't been dropped or in water or anything, just worked yesterday evening then not this morning and it was only on my bedside table overnight.
I am still happily on Gingerbread, haven't bothered to go to ICS, not that fusssed about it TBH - so it hasn't been caused in an upgrade/incompatibility problem with ICS.I actually did upgrade to ICS hoping this might cure it, but it was exactly the same then too!So I flashed the phone back to GB (Flashtool+appropriate .ftf), but still it was exactly the same - very low sound and no station search/reset And that's where it has stopped at now.i am thinking I have missed something blindingly obvious, but now I am too close to figure that out anyway, plus also am undoubtedly in need of someone expert.
First I thought that the song I was paying was the problem (error in recording), secondly I tried to find the balance between the left and the right channel (Settings-General-Accessibility under the heading Hearing). I started to slide the bar to maximize the volume first Left, then Right. In my case the volume was much higher on the right channel (microphone installed on the cord). To eliminate a potential song error I doubled checked the same mp3 song in another player and it worked out fine. So, the last thing I could do was to buy a new set of Apples earphones. I unpacked them and then it worked better for a few weeks time but now I'm back where I started. Same problem.
