BB Bold 9700 :: Opera Mini Version - 9000 Version Doesn't Have 5.0 Firmware Option Available
Jan 29, 2010I was about to download Opera Mini 4.2 for my Bold 9700 w/ 5.0 firmware. Opera's website doesn't show a version for the 9700 so I was going to download the version for the 9000. The only problem is the 9000 version doesn't have the 5.0 firmware option available. What version are you guys using on your 9700's?

Jul 19, 2011I have recently updated the BB Bold 9780 with RIM version 6.0 Packet 2475.Now it hangs a lot and draining my battery I tried downgrading it to the previous version but this seems not possible.Also its very anoying when the phone starts ringing and I want to pick it up, its not possible. There will be a sort of clock showing and the keyboard is completely blocked.The only solution is the remove the battery from the device and place it back in.

May 29, 2010I have just received a "Blackberry Bold 9700 Unlocked International Version" which i purchased from Amazon.Com. "This is supposed to be a new unbranded unit".
The installed software version is 5.0.0.351 with platform 5.1.0.98 and branding version 1.0.160.529q.I have read in this forum that there is a later version of the os available yet when I utilized the BB desktop software updater, it say that the latest version is installed. Is this correct?
I also have other issues with applications. I am unable to download and install the "BlackBerry APP World"; I get a message, " Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World"
"Google talk" give an error messag: " Service not enabled for this hand held" "Blackberry maps" are not loaded on the handset.Setup wizard does not give me the option to set up my personal e-mail only enterprise e-mail.I am able to browse and send and receive MMS & SMS messages.
Kindly advise as to ho to resolve these issues and whether there is a more current software version for the handset, and if so: how do I update it.

Jan 16, 2010I've attempted over 10 times to update my e71's firmware from version 200.x.x to 400.x.x and everytime the phone restarts about a minute into the update and NSU instructs me to re-establish the connection by removing the battery etc. The phone reboots by itself even if I do not remove the battery. upon clicking 'retry' the update fails again a minute into the process. I'm using NSU version 1.8.10en.Is there anything I could try to update the phone successfully?

When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button. But After I configure my email, it seems that my memory card's content was reset to defaul. The folders that are only visible are the default folders when you reformat the memory card. But the free space is still the same as the size before the memory card was corrupted. So I'm confident that the files are still there because the size is the same. Is there a way to recover those files?

Get latest version from nokia.com/maps". I've downloaded the appropriate file (selected using the tool on the website), but I cannot install version 3.01 as my phone will not install a .sis file.
