I want just want to ask for those whoe already updated their 5800 to version 40 firmware if their phone already supports VoIP. I've read on some forums that Nokia 5800 doesn't support VoIP. Is the new update already have like the VoIP support of N97?

When I run Software Updates in Nokia Suite I get message saying "No updates available" - Your phone has the software version V 52.0.101 installed. I then ran Fiddler and I found out that a request to the following URL is being made and it is not successful: [URL]

After updating to firmware version 40, I have a freezing video problem.When I play video file (.mp4), it starts playing as always but after a while image freezes but sound continues playing. No way forwarding video, the freezed image is always there but sound plays normally.I have Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, firmware version 40.2.005.263.04.Everything else is working correctly in the phone after update to 40 firmware.Is it a problem that could be solved?

Also i dont really wana use 3rd party apps such as "fring" but if this is the only option, then i will. and if 3rd party apps are recommedned, could you also give me an example account to fill in, showing where i would need to put my account details etc.
Does any know what profiles the CDMA version of the hero supports? I see that the gsm version supports SPP but does the CMDA version support it? I'm trying to decided betweent he hero and the samsung moment but I need support for a bluetooth keyboard (either HID or SPP). If they hero doesn't have SPP support does anyone know where I can find a profile for it? I see I can add HID support here (possibly).
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat's the most recent Desktop Manager Version that had built-in support for rolling back your OS (i.e. it detects all OS versions installed on your system & lets you pick the one you want, even if it's a downgrade) and where can I download the install files? I just found out the hard way that DM 6.1 does NOT seem to give you that option, so I had to reinstall an old Version 5.0 build that's like a year and a half old... which I'm happy to keep using, if that's what I have to do. But is there a newer version of DM that still has that functionality? Using the Apploader program WITHOUT Desktop Manager does NOT work well for me, as it ONLY installs the newest OS version present on your machine, which has resulted in OS 6.0 getting installed against my wishes, thus wasting the time spent on the install (installing OS 6.0 on a BlackBerry 9700 is a monumentally bad idea and I can't recommend it to anyone! ) Thus, I need a version of Desktop Manager that supports rolling back to an earlier OS.

I was about to download Opera Mini 4.2 for my Bold 9700 w/ 5.0 firmware. Opera's website doesn't show a version for the 9700 so I was going to download the version for the 9000. The only problem is the 9000 version doesn't have the 5.0 firmware option available. What version are you guys using on your 9700's?

One of my colleagues who also has a E90 has firmware version 400.34.93.
I've attempted over 10 times to update my e71's firmware from version 200.x.x to 400.x.x and everytime the phone restarts about a minute into the update and NSU instructs me to re-establish the connection by removing the battery etc. The phone reboots by itself even if I do not remove the battery. upon clicking 'retry' the update fails again a minute into the process. I'm using NSU version 1.8.10en.Is there anything I could try to update the phone successfully?

When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button. I request nokia developers to help fix this problem and check their updates for buge before uploading them to the server to save users from problems & worries.

But After I configure my email, it seems that my memory card's content was reset to defaul. The folders that are only visible are the default folders when you reformat the memory card. But the free space is still the same as the size before the memory card was corrupted. So I'm confident that the files are still there because the size is the same. Is there a way to recover those files?

So with this Post message, i would like to ask about, is there any way to get back my language pack that i have last time? because I really need Chinese in my nokia 5800,i m from malaysia here there is a lot malaysian using this phone.. i guess they might have the same problem like me in addition, i can;t get to connect to the Wifi.. after i update my version too. when i press Wifi Icon, it will give me a pop up msg, and wrote "system error" i hav b tried in "Nokia Software Updater" to keep on reinstall my Nokia 5800 software version. but still the same. because i still get the same pop up msg. So i really hope that Nokia service department will get to solve this problem as soon as posible. thank u so much.

When I try to connect my 5800 XM with USB cable, PC Suite mode, to my MacBookPro with Nokia Multimedia transfer 1.4.2 (8184) the device is not recognized. In Mass Archive mode it works.It worked before updating the 5800 firmware to version 40.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust updated to new firmware 51.0.006 (RM-356) Nokia 5800 and I dont know whether I am just thinking this but the phone seems faster now in operation (maybe with the firmware update it cleared cahes and whatnot maybe thats all it is) - one of the things that was supposed to be changed in the new firmware is browser changes, but I cannot seem to see any diffrerence the layout still looks the same to me. improved mail for exchange dont affect me because i dont use it, improved video call dont affect me because I dont use that, but they did list improved browser and improved performance so thats good anyway. Anyone else tried the new 51.0.006 (RM-356) yet?

When I access the website www.sbstransit.com.sg/mobileiris, which is to check for bus timings, the webpage shows but I am unable to click on any of the three links on my phone.
Can any users of Nokia 5800 with the latest firmware help me check whether the same problem persists on your phone? I am able to click on links on other websites, but not this one! I didnt have this problem on v31.
