May 13, 2010I think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.

May 9, 2015I cant even add an email address to a contact in the contacts app because the only choice you have is a numerical keypad for adding data, despite the fact the contacts app gives the message "Add a Name or Number" in the phone app
How on earth can i add a Name with a Numerical keypad? Why do we have to have an email contact in the email app and a phone contact in the phone contact not unified in one contacts app?
Total proof that Sony does not think Innovative. Unlike Apple, which allows addition of facebook page, twitter, web address, emails.
A mere single contacts app should be the HQ for all forms of initiating communication with a known contact, but with Xperia and Android, it seems that you have to have to find Mr Smiths email address by going to email app, and his phone number by going to contacts app.
The stupidest thing about the Xperia is that the phone app says ""Enter Name or Number" but only allows you to enter a Number, and has no Keyboard to enter a Name!
IPhone :: Crash While Adding New Contact To Address Book
Mar 28, 2012When I add a new contact to my IPhone 4s Address Book ("Contacts") it sometimes crashes if you enter all the information and tap "done". It doesn't crash if you first enter the first/last name - tap done - open the contact and edit it. After "Contacts" crashes the new entry is not saved.
It is very annoying especially if you are on the go or you ask the person 3 times for their contact details...

Jun 3, 2013Seems like my stock SMS Messaging is not an option in the 'share' lists from a few apps, namely the Gallary or QuickPIC application. I cannot attach a photo to a SMS message.
If I open the SMS app, THEN try to attach something, it opens up the gallary, but then crashes Sense and the SMS app.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Messaging App Not Adding Yahoo Mail Account?
Apr 14, 2012I have a yahoo mail account that has been working fine on the messaging app until now. Today I recieved an Authorization Error notification and since then I have been unable to use that yahoo mail account on my messaging app. I have tried removing the account and adding it again and also changing the password via my PC but it is still giving me an error message on my Bionic saying "Login to the account failed , please try again." Has anyone had any problems with their Droid Bionic's messaging app & yahoo mail account

Mar 1, 2010I like my E72 but I have two problems that really annoy me.
1. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (sam, Sofia etc). for some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. if I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field. The auto suggestion feature works perfectly on my wife's phone (an E72 with the same firmware - 22.007) but on my phone it won't suggest email addresses from my contacts.
2. Another problem is that my Gmail that is synced to the phone, through the Nokia Messenger server is locked on "hide emails older than 2 weeks". Now, I have hundreds of emails stored on my phone that dates to February 1st - the day I got the Phone.
Is there a way to delete these emails automatically, without deleting them on the Gmail account itself? It makes my phone really when going through the emails.

BB Torch :: Email Options Can't Appear
Aug 10, 2011I wonder whether this is a coincidence: I just activated access to my gmail box on my BB Torch, in addition to the enterprise email that's be working on the device all along. While I can send/receive from either box, I just discovered that when I hit the Menu key in either box and scroll down to Options, and try to click on it, I get nothing. I seem to remember that I used to define several email preferences using this function.

May 11, 2011When you click on emails in the BB Device, once you click on BB symbol on the Device, you will get to see the list of things available and in those listings i am unable to see options.
I have tried resending IT policy from BES server 4.1.7 where BB device is setup for exchange 2003 email. Also tried siwtching off the device, taking out the battery for a minute, reinserting and turning it ON again. Still no luck with that Options what i am looking for.
how do i get that options appearing back on BB device.

Jun 22, 2011when I am in the email (Messages) folder and open up the menu the "Options" selection is available but when selected nothing happens. Previously it had worked OK just more recently the issue has occurred for no reason I can particularly specify.Consequently I cannot change any of my email settings (Signature, views etc) which is getting inconvenient now!I am using a work enterprise (BES) activated phone and have tried usual tricks i.e. Battery removal, software updates etc.

As of now, I do not have any problems with those but I just can't find the option to set up my internet email. However, when I try to add an email account now, by clicking "Setup" and then "Email Account" and then "Internet Mail Account", I am kicked back to the "Setup" folder. I never get to the "Email Setup" screen where you select your provider.
