Nokia :: N900 - Adding Yahoo Email Account
Jan 29, 2010I have tried to add my yahoo email account to my N900 and after I complete the process I get an error messae saying "Unable to connect to pop.yahoo.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect". Could someone please help me in what this says? I have previously used a Blackberry and haven't had this problem before.

BB Bold :: 9700 Adding A Second Email
Oct 25, 2011When I did the initial set up on my Blackberry Bold 9700 (using 6 OS), I only set up my Yahoo email account, thinking I would get to the others later. However, when I try to add an email account now, by clicking "Setup" and then "Email Account" and then "Internet Mail Account", I am kicked back to the "Setup" folder. I never get to the "Email Setup" screen where you select your provider.

Sep 5, 2011My bb bold was sent off for repaid and I picked it up yesterday and tried to load the 3 email accounts which were present on it before it went in for repaid. I have managed to load my hotmail account however when I try to load the other two email accounts it says that I need t verifiy the details. Apr 19, 2011I used to have my work e-mail address (not an enterprise account) linked to my blackberry. I have no idea how it happened. When I tried to set it up it asked for a password and I didn't have one for it. I closed the e-mail set-up thinking it had not worked. However, despite the blackberry saying it could not set-up the account, lo and behold a few minutes later I got the e-mail account activation message and everything was working. This was before I downloaded the new OS.Fast forward to today: the e-mail account accidentally was deleted. Now when I try to set it up I get more or less the same messages but it does not work magically as it did before. I have contacted our IT administrator to ask if there is ac password for my specific e-mail. We use Microsoft Exchange Server. He told me there are no other passwords than the one I use to access my e-mail through the internet. However, I have tried that password and it does not work.

Apr 16, 2010When i first got my bb9700 i added my hotmail account and everything was working fine but i deleted my mistake and now when i tryed adding it again i get this msg sent to my phone. If you use an email client (e.g. Microsoft(R) Outlook(R), Mozilla(R) Thunderbird(TM), etc.) to access your avibassi91@hotmail.com messages, change your email client settings to leave your email messages on the server. If the email client does not leave email messages on the server, the BlackBerry(R) Internet Service may not be able to deliver them to your BlackBerry(R) device. To leave email messages on your email server you may need to complete the following steps:
1. In your email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) on your computer, under Tools or Mail > Preferences.
2. Select your email account.
3. Locate advanced, server settings or options.
4. Select the option to leave email messages on the server.

Apr 16, 2011How many Personal email accounts Blackberry's are allowed to have? I have 3 Personal email accounts now and want to add more and wont allow me to add more. I have a Blackberry Curve 9300. And this comes to my next question. I am having difficulties adding and deleting an email account. When I go to "setup - email accounts - I have an option of Internet Mail Account and Enterprise Account. I select Internet Mail Account and when I select the Blackberry boots me out" I have nothing but problems with this OS 6.0 on my BB.

May 13, 2010I think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.

May 9, 2015I cant even add an email address to a contact in the contacts app because the only choice you have is a numerical keypad for adding data, despite the fact the contacts app gives the message "Add a Name or Number" in the phone app
How on earth can i add a Name with a Numerical keypad? Why do we have to have an email contact in the email app and a phone contact in the phone contact not unified in one contacts app?
Total proof that Sony does not think Innovative. Unlike Apple, which allows addition of facebook page, twitter, web address, emails.
A mere single contacts app should be the HQ for all forms of initiating communication with a known contact, but with Xperia and Android, it seems that you have to have to find Mr Smiths email address by going to email app, and his phone number by going to contacts app.
The stupidest thing about the Xperia is that the phone app says ""Enter Name or Number" but only allows you to enter a Number, and has no Keyboard to enter a Name!
Nokia :: E72 - Adding New Entry In Calendar?
Feb 20, 2010When I had the Nokia E71, every time I type a word on the Calendar standby screen, a new entry opens & you can continue typing a reminder. On the new Nokia E72, its more difficult to use, you should click "options" then select "new entry" then you can type the information, why shouldn't Nokia E72 be the same as Nokia E71 by typing straight on the standby screen & continue inserting data? Please note that I downloaded Version 023.002 in my Nokia E72. I hope this can be fixed on the new software update soon.

Aug 2, 2010After updating my software to v 21.0.045 i found my phone is working better than before with one exception. I can't add the last widget on the main screen. It can only let me change wallpaper? I tried to reset using phone, using code, restarting a few times etc Nothing helped.I even sent a message to Nokia helpline explaining all what has happened and they send me a silly email back with simple ""use "add content" in order to add widget to your main screen "Somebody help! If you know how to add the last widget please let me know.
Ps 1. I didn't have this problem with my old software.

Jul 15, 2010is it possible to add shortcuts for apps to my X6 homescreen? Ive hunted through various options but cant find how to do it. I have managed to move them them to the menu screen using "organise" and then "move to folder" - "root folder", but cannot get them onto the homescreen.
