IPhone 3GS :: Data Not Working No 3G In 3G Area?
Jul 18, 2010I have an iPhone 3GS, purchased in March of this year. It's worked great except one thing: twice so far my phone has been displaying full bars and EDGE while my mom's iPhone 3GS displays full bars and 3G. When this happens, I can make phone calls and send text messages, but I can't get on Safari or anything else that uses data.The first time this happened (about a month and a half ago), I just turned off my phone, removed the SIM card and put it back in, and let it sit, turned off, for about an hour. Then when I turned it back on, it was fine.This time, I have tried that to no effect. It's not simply that I have bad coverage where I'm at or no 3G because my mom's phone works fine. I recently updated to 4.0.1, if that makes any difference (my mom has not).Is there any fix for this I can try myself? Or should I take my phone into AT&T and let them deal with it?

Jun 24, 2010I am actually waiting on hold right now to talk with Apple at Lenox Square. I thought I would just ask to see if anybody knows if there are still walk-in available. Im kinda sure lenox does not but I want to know about tomorrow and Monday shipments.
Just wondering if anybody has had any luck later in the day. I have no problem waiting but would not mind getting one this weekend while i have time off work.

So I ask that everyone check and see if there are friction scuffs on yours as well.

Jun 25, 2012Recently my iphone 4s wont find any of the wifis available in the area. When i search for wifi nothing appears, it just has the searching symbol, which doesnt go away. I have tested my home wifi with my friends phone, which is the same phone on the same software, and it works fine for her. I have had no problem with wifi until now and there are no other problems with my phone, 3g internet still work fine.

Jun 8, 2012It was in a sof case and surrounded by a hard case. The only areas exposed to liquid was the charger and speakers. At first, the display came on and the unit charged sporadically. Now, it will not power on at all. Even when it did power on the screen was VERY dim. About 1 inch fell into the shake (strawberry, for the curious) and I did not rinse it off - just wiped and cleaned with QTip and toothpick. Any help out there? Should I open the phone and try to clean it out? It is over 2 years old and no warranty or contract.

May 16, 2012I upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 a week or so ago on my iPhone 4. Now I am prompted to re-enter my password every several minutes. I can cancel the prompt and the phone will work fine, but it continues to happen. I also upgraded my new iPad at the same time and it didn't happen on that device.
