I upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 a week or so ago on my iPhone 4. Now I am prompted to re-enter my password every several minutes. I can cancel the prompt and the phone will work fine, but it continues to happen. I also upgraded my new iPad at the same time and it didn't happen on that device.

I have a Google Apps account where a password is required on the device. I'd like to see this work more like the Droid X where you set a timeout, say 30 minutes, and if you use the device within 30 minutes, you don't need to enter the password again.

I keep getting a pop up box on my iPhone asking me to enter my password - and the apple id does not match mine. I click 'Cancel' but it keeps reappearing and interfering with other apps. What did I do to get this and what do I do to get rid of it? Is it someone or something phishing for my password? The only app I recently downloaded was PF Chang's and I got that directly from the App Store.

I just "upgraded" my wi-fi router to a Netgear WNDR3400. Everything seems to be set up fine, and I'm able to connect with our various iphones, ipads, and AppleTV. But our iphones won't automatically re-connect to the network after the connection is lost, and we have to re-enter the password when we re-connect.

My blackberry curve 8520 comes on right to the home screen but after the screen goes black & I can't see anything. When I plug in the charger & pull it out that's how I get to see the home screen. It refuses to let me enter my password to get into the phone.

I am able to scroll up and down through the three options (Unlock, Emergency, Cancel) but i am unable to click down on any of them. Once the screen dies down back to sleep mode it doesn't light up anymore no matter what i press.I've reinstalled the default software 4.6 but that didn't help.

I bought a Bold 9700 about a month ago and everything was fine un til I had to call T-Mobile to get an exchange about a week ago. I got my new Blackberry 9700 but the only problem is, when I set my password and enable it, the phone doesn't prompt me to enter the password whenever I unlock the phone. View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a blackberry 9700 since 2 yrs. I tried for the first time to save my device data on my computer by using the BB Desktop Software. To connect my cell phone and my PC, I had to provide a "password". I typed my device password and then my SIM Card pin #, without any luck. An alert message indicated that this was my last chance to enter the right code, and if I don"t, all my device data would be merely erased.
I also cannot access anymore to my cell phone as long as I don't provide with this "mysterious" password. The point is also that I switched off my device. If turn it on, I will have to type the word "blackberry" first, and then the said password will be requested: at this step is it the SIM card PIN # or necessarily the device password?
I didn't use my cell phone for several weeks since that time, so scared to do a wrong thing. When I just tried to reload the battery, I saw the phone doing like a "reset". Then I took off the battery to stop the process. Did I do something wrong? Is it now too late to get back my data?
I've been trying to set up my email account through the wizard set up and have been largely unsuccessful. I read a couple of posts that have given a step-by-step process. My only problem is that I don't have an option that says 'Add account.' Here are the steps I've followed:
1) Go to Email Setup
2) Choose 'I want to create or add an email address.
3) Click next
4)Click next again
5)Then, I get a message which says 'Existing Users, to log in, please provide your username and password.'
I don't have an option to add an account. When I put in my username and password into the fields, I get a message saying please enter a valid username. (My service provider already set up my Gmail, and couldn't add the other one. I told him I'd figure it out)
My partner and I have both brought E71's, I set up access to my email easily then went to do my partners phone and we get up to the enter email address step and it kicks us out and wont let us enter a password or anything....
