I'm trying to enter a username and password to enter an account on the internet. I can get the username in the "box" but can't "tab" or "move" to the password box. Tapping the touch screen doesn't do anything & I've pressed the "ok" & "enter" button but it will not move to the next box. How do I do that.
View 1 RepliesI've been trying to set up my email account through the wizard set up and have been largely unsuccessful. I read a couple of posts that have given a step-by-step process. My only problem is that I don't have an option that says 'Add account.' Here are the steps I've followed:
1) Go to Email Setup
2) Choose 'I want to create or add an email address.
3) Click next
4)Click next again
5)Then, I get a message which says 'Existing Users, to log in, please provide your username and password.'
I don't have an option to add an account. When I put in my username and password into the fields, I get a message saying please enter a valid username. (My service provider already set up my Gmail, and couldn't add the other one. I told him I'd figure it out)
I have a Google Apps account where a password is required on the device. I'd like to see this work more like the Droid X where you set a timeout, say 30 minutes, and if you use the device within 30 minutes, you don't need to enter the password again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got my blackberry a couple days ago and it's driving me nuts trying to get this set up. I'm pretty techno savy, but not when it comes to this phone.
I set up an account through the blackberry but then I couldn't for the life of me remember what password I put on it. So that became a nightmare and I ended up deleting that account and set up a new one through the computer.
Now whenever I try and log into this, like app world to try and get things set up and started - I get the error message "enter the username associate with this smartphone".
So I enter in the new username/password I set up and it doesn't work So of course I did try getting all the blackberry programs set up on my computer and hook the phone up to my computer - but my house is a dead zone for cells - so I can't get it set up because I can't access my 'data plan' in my house.
I've registered my phone, I've taken the battery out all that fun stuff - but it's still not working! This is driving me BONKERS - I can't set up emails, bbm anything because I can't log into my account
During an exam, I can get in trouble if my phone goes off, even if it just vibrates.I've noticed that even when I have my phone in silent mode, it still vibrates when I receive a text message. How do I turn this off? I do not use the phone for anything other than calling and texting; I have no apps or email accounts or google or anything else set up with the phone. I wouldn't even know how to use them, to be honest. I just want silent mode to mean everything is completely silent, no vibrating or anything.

About a week ago the sync to my twitter account stopped working stating there was a username password problem. I double checked and I have the correct username and password. The account was working perfectly and nothing changed. I still use the email on my desk top so I know it is valid. It may even fetch the mail occasionally.

When the user navigates to the site they are prompted for AD authentication (which is good) they have an option to "remember username", this works fine they enter their username & password and in they go, lovely. However I go back to the site and it allows me straight through, obviously the credentials are being stored, the question is where!?he orange support guys said cookies, now if domain credentials were being stored in cookies (plain text i assume) i would be very scared, i think RIM are more secure than that. Anyway i cleared my browser data and it still lets me straight through so i know its not in cookies. I have looked everywhere my limited knowledge will allow me and i still cannot find anywhere they could be, googled it and drew alot of blanks, i even tried in password keeper and TLS but still nothing.
i asked orange to escalte to RIM themselves as they werent much help and they said they would charge so i told them to naff off. They also told me they couldnt help as they dont support 3rd party apps, i said that the blackberry browser is not 3rd party but i dont think they understood.
Although I can sign in Ovi from the internet with my username and passowrd, I cannot do the same from my mobile (already connected through WiFi). When using the same username and passwrod I get the message: "sign-in failed. check your username and password"
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently backed up my phone on my computer and ever since I did, it's like all of my personal settings were deleted as well. For instance, I had to fix my all of my profiles sounds after backing up, and I went to my Blackberry Appworld, scrolled over to My Appworld and it says 'no downloads' and I have downloaded a lot of applications. That's not really a problem for me, as long as I get messages when updates come out for the apps...? Now, I am trying to setup another email address and when going to 'email setup wizard', I am being prompted for a Username and Password. I don't remember ever making a username or password for email setup, but was able to firgure out I could put my PIN in for my password to be sent, which it was. BUT I still do not know what my username is, and I've tried my email addresses with and without what's after the @ and still no luck.
