Mar 14, 2012I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

May 27, 2012I recently restored my iphone, and after restoring when I asked itunes to restore data from the last backup, it said that the last backup was corrupt; thus it restored my phone as new. is there a way to get my data back, as in from the 2nd last backup?

When I try the 'Manage..' -> restore option, I get the following "Your device is partially configured. Please complete the configuration by synchronizing the device or remove it to add another." Apr 30, 2012I have a new BB Torch 9810 and I'm trying to restore from BB Protect but not all contacts restore - and it seems random which ones don't. I tried a resolution posted about unticking not restoring contacts which are e-mail synchronized but the only option under "Synchronisation Options" on my Torch is "Deleted items". When I look at the back-up data on Protect for the old device (Torch 9800) each synch has 2 Address Book entries with different numbers of items. Could it somehow be restoring only one of these two files?

May 31, 2012Why have i lost all my contacts on my iphone4s that I just purchased 5 days ago?
I noticed that the contacts were there a couple of days a go and now the whole contacts directory is gone. This is my first iphone having had a Blackberry Storm prior to this. I just signed up for icloud and I'm wondering if it might have been something that I might have done. I'm not familiar with many of the options on the iphone.

Jun 3, 2012I have numbers in my recent phone calls list that used to show their name or nickname, but now just show the phone number, and of course I check the contacts, and they're Gone. I had NOT done any updates recently. My iCloud was set with "contacts ON". My wife also has an iPhone. She also has not recently done any updates. We both have our own logins for iTunes. I have tried Connecting my phone, opening iTunes, and clicking Sync. This did not work. Is there any way to find out where SOME of my contacts went?

Jun 22, 2012I have Iphone 3G - no jail brake!In Itunes i backed up my iphone (i can see the last back up in folder as well in device preferences > devices > device backups) Then I decided to update my Iphone from IOS 4.x.x (i dont remember exact version) to the latest (5.1.1)After update was succesfully done it automatically took latest backup and installed it on iphone. I have all SMS, contact favorites, last calls - BUT THERE ARE NO CONTACTS. Interesting that during pushing favorites it shows very shortly favorite names, but then stays only numbers.I tried to off/on I cloud, sim import, restart, restore from backup - nothing works.
