Nokia :: 5130 XM / Restoring Deleted Contacts & Messages
I recently backed up my Nokia 5130 XpressMusic to the memory card and now I am trying to restore it keeps telling me no space on the phone. I have lost my contacts & messages. Prior to restoring I had over 600 messages in my Inbox alone now my phone is not accommodating more than 30 messages total. I really need to retrieve my data and would love any help I can get.

Nokia :: N96 8GB Restoring Deleted Files
I have a N96 8GB and its had all its contacts, videos and imags have been deleted. I dont know if this was done via a master reset (if that exists) or if someone deleted the info bit by bit.Is there anyway I can retrieve these files.I've got a data cable and pc suite loaded on my laptop.

Nokia :: E63 / Restoring Deleted Sound Clip
When I recorded a sound clip using my E63, it is stored in the phone memory. Thereafter, I moved it to the memory card.However, to my horror, when I opened the file on my computer from the memory card, the sound clip was not transferred completely. It was supposed to be 15 minutes long but it became 4 minutes. To make matters worse, the clip is no longer in my phone memory.Is there any way I can retrieve/ restore the clip?

Nokia :: PC Suite Not Restoring Messages Correctly
ive managed to create a valid csv file from my previous messages, and when i want to restore messages to phone via pc suite, with import function, everything is fine and messages will be imported to phone successfully, but the problem is , pc suite converts numbers to names for saved numbers, like FROM: "Lastname Firstname" (i dont like this) and i cant reply to messages or view message detail inside the phone, names are solid on messages, how i can make pc suite act normal?

I was messing around with my phone, and accidently deleted the Ovi Files and Ovi Contacts icons/apps from the phone. But now I have no idea how to get them back.I can't find any answers or support on this anywhere.I tried a reset, but that just did the settings.would a hard reset restore the phone back to it's original state? (programs/apps and all) if so, then how?

Background: 1) I just updated my firmware for my E71 to v 300.21.012 and PC suite to v 7.1.40.1 today. <Just in case, I have been using this phone for a year now and so far so good until now & I am very concern now especially with SW upgrades> 2) Before that I backup all my data via the PC suite (previous version) via Content Copier and I can still still my data files in my PC. 3) After successfully completing the above #1 upgrades, I tried restoring my data to the E71, but it failed and the message was "Failed to open the file .... This file type is unknown and cannot be imported" I hv done regular backup and the all file ending with ".nbu" are all there. Strangely the older backup data for my earlier Nokia 9300, which is in my PC, can be restored <which is not what I wanted as the data is out dated> How can this be as I followed the instruction as advised by Nokia and dutifully backed up my data and now I cannot restore my data now:-( Not sure if I hv done something "wrong" but how can this be and I wonder if Nokia does any proper testing before releasing it out to the general public?

I have bought a new 5800 XM recently instead of my old 7610. I tried hard I think but unable to find a way to transfer my text messages from my 7610 to 5800 XM. How come I can manage this or is not there a way to achieve this issue. * I own the final version of Nokia PC Suite and Ovi Suite by today. they even cannot install the Nokia PC Suite Support software into my old 7610. **When I tried to back up my messages from 7610 PC Suite warns me that these messages cannot be restored to another model.

I'm using a Blackberry Curve 9300, it seems to freeze a lot lately, sometimes for hours at a time. Like this morning it froze from 12midnight until 5:30am. When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore. I now don't know what to do. how do I stop my phone from freezing all the the time and how do I restore all my contacts!

I have an iphone from which the contacts disappeared this morning. As this occured at the same time as the expiration of my mobileme trial account (and I didn't switch off live sync to mobileme), I assume that the disappearance of the contacts on my iphone was caused by it syncing with my now-expired mobileme account, which was to all intents and purposes, empty. I have a backup on itunes which I have restored to my iphone a number of times - however the backup contains settings which causes the iphone (when restored) to sync up with mobileme, and because mobileme is now empty, the cloud sync process deletes the contacts off the iphone. I am trying to find a way to do a partial restore such that itunes only restores the contacts without restoring the settings and causing the sync-related deletion. Information: Windows XP

Nokia :: All Text Messages Got Deleted
I ran out of battery last night. And I was out. When I went home and charged my N97 phone, I went to the Messaging and I found out that all of my text messages are gone. My inbox, sent items and even messages stored in my folders are gone. Those text messages are important. And I don't know how to restore it. It's so weird, it got deleted all by itself. I didn't do anything. Not even deleted those text messages.

I was playing music in the background and as occasionally happens the phone reboots when using the music player.This time I was writing a SMS when the phone rebooted. When it had completed rebooting all messages were gone. Recieved/sent/saved messages. Only thing left were the delivery reports.anyone else experienced this? and is it possible to get the messages back?

Nokia Nseries :: All My Sms-messages Were Deleted
After the Belle update, all my sms-messages were deleted. So i got them back by restoring them from the back up i made before updating. Now they are not displayed in the right order, by date. Instead, first i get the mms messages, then when I scroll up I get all my sent messages to that contact, en even more up all the received messages. So it's not a conversation anymore. Within the "sent" and "received" messages groups they are ordered by date and time. How can i fix this so i can see the actual conversation again, with alternating sent and received messages? The mms messages also have the time and date from restoring from the back up, the regular sms-messages still have the original time and date correctly.

Nokia :: Phone Has Deleted Most Of Contacts?
I have a month old Nokia E63. worked fine up til now, but this afternoon I turned it off because the battery was somewhat low and on turning it back on again it seems that most of my contacts have disappeared. Only the two I entered most recently are left. Strangely when I go to my message inbox peoples messages are still named correctly, but their entries don't appear in my contacts list. Any diagnoses?

I done something very stupid. I done a hard reset without backing anything up, which then deleted everything on my phone - most importantly all my contact numbers which I've had saved for years. I only recently transferred my contacts from my SIM card to my phone as well. Is there any possible way I can restore them?

I'm receiving alert to delate or move files from the phone memory. Looks as I did what I could, but still not enough. I keep my sms and emails and pics, videos and all other staff in the mass memory, but now I cant even receive messages!!! (this same alert - 'phone memory full') I've checked the phone browser - cant see any files which could possibly fill up the phone memory.

Today my phone died as the usual, I use it to much. Haha. And yeah, anyway I put it on charge and left it off while it charged which is something I don't often do. When I turned it back on after fully recharging, I got a 2 messaged received while it was off, and to my horror they were the only messages in my inbox. Sent messages gone too, however the delivery reports of the texts I had sent before the phone died were still there. I save all my messages on the phone memory and not memory card like some other people. Everything else stored on my phone like contacts etc. are all still intact thank God. I lost about 2500 messages. I was having slight problems when navigating through the messages before - when in them, when in an open message I couldn’t use the arrows to move from message to message as it said memory full try closing applications and trying again, or something like that. That also happened when I was in an opened message and tried to delete it. I could delete messages from the wider view of them though. If that has anything to do with it. What I really want to know is what the hell has happened and if I can get my beautiful messages back. Software version V21.0.025

My iphone was returned after going missing for months.. but my remote lock code applied using find my iphone at the time it went missing is not working to unlock the phone. The last back up is logged in the itunes preferences as a week before it went missing but Im worried if this includes all the text messages and call logs (which I need to recover VIP) or just music, photos, apps etc outlined in the iphone synching preferences.for example 1.can I just 'reset default settings' option in sync??? 2.I hear there are technicians who can recover data, is this the only option for recovering call & text messages (that do not seem to be anywhere obvious to me in itunes. 3.If i put it in recovery mode and wipe the phone, will the iphone content (including messages) be restored from the back up that occured the week before it went missing which should cover the most important call info i need? 4. I do not have lion on my computer yet (no money for a few weeks to upgrade my mac OSX 5.8 system... Info: iPhone 3G
