The contacts in my C7 are lost. Fortunately i can see the last update in ovi.com.However, there is NO way by which I am able to restore them. When I try the 'Manage..' -> restore option, I get the following "Your device is partially configured. Please complete the configuration by synchronizing the device or remove it to add another." No clue about what and where is this 'partial configuration'.There is no waythat I can find to export these contacts so that I can try to import it into ovi suite on my laptop (I did not have a backup on my laptop till now!)
I had to erase everything from my C6-01 because of some issues I had. The problem now is that my old applications that came from Nokia package disappeared (such as Nokia Store). About Nokia Store, I have tried various ways to reinstall it, guided by the pieces of advices I had found on this site, yet nothing works for me. Plus, I cannot seem to resize my pictures when I set them as wallpapers. Everything went haywire. How I can restore my applications?
I am trying to reset my c3 to factory settings. It says I need some security codes, my phones only like 2 weeks old and I have not put any passcodes on it or anything. How can I find out what this code is?
I've removed some BBM contacts but wish to add them back however when I go to "Restore using email" I get this message:"You have configured Remote Backup. Your contact list changes are being automatically backed up and you do not need to use the Remote Restore Using Email"How do I bring my old contact list back using the email restore feature?
My wife has recently upgraded to the 4s. I synced her 3gs to her iTunes account and then synced her new 4s to the old 3gs info. Now her contacts have vanished completely from BOTH phones. Cannot find them on either phone nor on her laptop?? Help!!!!
I have had 2 8520's stolen this year. The first time as I put my new Sim card in the phone it asked me if I wanted to verify my device. I said yes, and immediately ALLl my contacts (not BBM contacts - normal contacts) were restored to my device. I inserted my Sim in the new phone today and it did not ask me this question. Is there anyway I can get my contact list from Blackberry for my 8520?
I recently upgraded my OS for my 9700 and did a handheld wipe.I do weekly backups on blackberry protect but it doesn't seem to be restoring my BBM contacts.
I have a new BB Torch 9810 and I'm trying to restore from BB Protect but not all contacts restore - and it seems random which ones don't. I tried a resolution posted about unticking not restoring contacts which are e-mail synchronized but the only option under "Synchronisation Options" on my Torch is "Deleted items". When I look at the back-up data on Protect for the old device (Torch 9800) each synch has 2 Address Book entries with different numbers of items. Could it somehow be restoring only one of these two files?

I was messing around with my phone, and accidently deleted the Ovi Files and Ovi Contacts icons/apps from the phone. But now I have no idea how to get them back.I can't find any answers or support on this anywhere.I tried a reset, but that just did the settings.would a hard reset restore the phone back to it's original state? I backed up my contacts by ssh'ing into my phone and backing up the files in this directory: /private/var/mobile/Library/AddressBook.When I restored and re-added the files my contacts show up but I can't add or modify them...

All contacts on C7 just disappeared, i tried syncing with my OVI store it didnt solve the problem. i then opened my OVI account on my system i noticed that i couldnt get any contacts there again,my fear is that i might have synced my OVI account with zero contacts.
1) how can I get back my contacts
2) can I reverse a sync.
3) what if i didnt back up, can I get my contacts back?
I've upgraded C7-00 from RP1.2 to Anna 25.07. It was done via WiFi from mobile itself. There is an issue with QWERTY keyboard. It is available in SMS, Calendar but not in Contacts. Here old-style keyboard is still used (which shows only possible letters from available phonebook entries). It doesn't change if I set another default language.
I used to Have Nokia N70 , and then i changed to C3-00 so , i did backup my messags and contacts from N70 , and also i manually copied my messages and contacts into my pc. "extension for contact file is .vcf"
Now i choosed to restore my data using Nokia OVi , i connected my C3-00 via usb and choosed to restore . Everything is ok , all my messages, calendar notes , except for the contacts. which some of them are missing. =>comparing to the number of contacts i copied to the pc manually <=

I have a problem with my new C3-00. When one of my contacts calls me, the name is not displayed properly, i.e. it's displayed as if he/she is not in my contacts list. However, if I miss the call, then in the missed calls list it's displayed properly. It's also displayed properly if I call them and if I receive/send a message from them.
I have just purchased a Nokia C3-00. The left-hand side contacts key function is inactive, however, and I can't get this button to do anything. When I press the left-hand side Contacts Function key, nothing hapens at all.When I go to Menus > Settings > My Shortcuts, I can find information on the "Contacts Key," and it says "Contacts Key Off." When I click the "select" button at this menu to edit the contacts key, I see a menu for "Contacts Key" and the "off" radio button is clicked. But there is no option for changing this radio button to "on." If I try to click the menu button at this screen, I simply get a message confirming the fact that the "contacts key function is inactive." I would like the turn on the contacts key.
I recently, synchronized my contacts with Ovi sync, which was aborted in the middle due to a technical Connectivity Problem. After that I again synched after about an hour. This time the Sync was successful. But to my annoyance I found that more than 1500 records got duplicated in my mobile and now I have this unpleasant task of removing each of these duplicate contacts manually or merge them. Is there a way to do a mass merge of duplicate contacts at one go...
I decided to update my C7 to anna, via OTA update. after several steps, everything went fine and update completed without any error message.All my previous settings, applications, sms messages, call logs are all OK except my phonebook was empty, not a single entry. The funny thing I have the contacts names in call logs and sms messages. I dont know what's wrong and if there is any way to recover the contacts
My phone contacts were deleted after I restarted my Nokia C6-00.
This has happened twice in the last 15 days.
As I had done a backup a month ago, I ws able to retrieve most of the contacts. But those ones which I added in the last 15 days could not be retrieved. Is there a solution or some setting changes that i need to do for the contacts list deletion problem?

I've recently got a Nokia C6. All I want is good sync with MS Outlook, i.e. contacts, calendar, tasks, notes and receive and send email efficiently.I finally found how to sync the contacts, calendar, etc. (I found out that I needed to download Ovi software, and I must say that the Nokia PC suite I used for my 9300i was much more practical). I have around 2700 contacts. After sync, I tried to find one in the device, but the C6 crashed giving an error message 'not enough memory'. That is weird. I've been using PDAs since Palm m105, but I never had such a response, especially when the device is brand new, and I haven't loaded even a single new application. (I have to note that there is a bunch of applications that came with the phone to me, but doesn't mean much to me).(After deleting all contacts, device has total 276 MB, of which 219 MB is free and Memory card 1,86 MB, of which 1,1 MB is free)
