I blocked my old phone through Optus and at the same time I had Optus give me a new sim card with my existing number, as so I could simply install the sim and then run a restore through iTunes back into my phone.
For some unknown reason, the iphone5 claims there is no sim installed?

Got an unlock code and tried to enter ir with the T-mo sim in it, says no valid sim card.Always comes up with "do you want to enter MEP unlock code" after pulling battery, but when I press yes nothing happens. This is with the original Vz sim installed which I realized I did need to enter the unlock code.Going to the sim screen shows "no valid sim card" so I can't get to the MEP2 screen to enter the unlock code, this is with the original Vz sim installed.I want to use this on T-mo but am willing to register it on Vz long enough to unlock it, but even Vz says it's blocked.I really need a clue.

There is a little lock symbol at the top. I connected to my mac to upload photos, and it wanted to upgrade softwear, so I clicked ok. Now in my Itunes screen, it says that the sim card is not supported and that i need a compatible sim card. I have been using this phone for a year with no problems. Did Apple find a way to lock any phones that are synced thru Itunes, that are not using AT&T?

I used my friend's SIM card and my iphone was able to detect it however my itunes would only allow me to the option to restore my iphone which I did and now all my camera roll, notes, contacts and sms are gone and the backups in my iTunes are all post-iPhone-crash.

Jul 2, 2010I have the 3Gs and jailbroke it the first day I got it. Just a few days ago my iphone locked up and I had to restore it. Since I was FORCED to update to the new OS 4, I can't JB it yet.
I was looking around the settings options and I noticed that it has th e "tethering" options on my phone just like when I had it JB. I did a search and I did not find anything about tethering on the new OS, just that it was promised by ATT a few months ago but they never did.So is there something special about m phone or do they normaly have this options available just you can't use it?

May 13, 2012I've tried to update both my iphone 4 and 4s both of which was unsuccessful, now all I have on my phones screens are the itunes logo and the usb as if it wants me to attached to itunes! when i do neither of the phones will show up on the itunes screen on my computer ! as if it wont recognise them, went into the apple store in town they want to charge me 5 pounds to sort it which i think is a joke since both phones were fine before this update !

Mar 17, 2010I am not happy with the V 40 update for my device. The problems faced are,
1. Sometimes cannot accept calls - Error shown is request rejected
2. Music library get corrupted.
3. Camera doesnot flash on its own in low light.
4. Hangs quite a times.
5. Use OVI maps only to restart your phone.
6. Sensor controls are bad.
7. Installing a few applications gets it slow.
8. Clock doesnot display its time on the home screen.
I am seriously annoyed by this.First I did the update myself.I then visited a Nokia Care centre and the version was reinstalled. I still have the same problems. I have done it myself through the software updater and OVI suite. Thats means a total of 4 updates and still the errors are present.

I didnt record the full update number/version.I gave the ok to download and install after reading the warning that it might take up to 7 minutes to complete.It has locked with the red dot "M" logo for 30 minutes.What should I do now? Holding the power button does not turn it off , no buttons get any response. I am about to pull the battery and restart but I fear I might cobble up the update and cause more harm.
