May 22, 2012I have an iPhone on the network 3, but am moving to tesco mobile. The phone is unlocked, and I have had other sims in it before. Since this update, only my 3 sim will work? Is on a new baseband too. 04.12.01 My phone has always worked before hand with other sim cards, so I can't get my head about what could be wrong.When I put the sim in I get no service, and when I go into airplane mode and back out, it says sim failure. I know its not the sim itself, because it is a new sim and I have tested it in my HTC Wildfire.I jumped from IOS 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 because I hadnt had time to update my phone in these last months

Jul 2, 2010I have the 3Gs and jailbroke it the first day I got it. Just a few days ago my iphone locked up and I had to restore it. Since I was FORCED to update to the new OS 4, I can't JB it yet.
I was looking around the settings options and I noticed that it has th e "tethering" options on my phone just like when I had it JB. I did a search and I did not find anything about tethering on the new OS, just that it was promised by ATT a few months ago but they never did.So is there something special about m phone or do they normaly have this options available just you can't use it?

May 13, 2012I've tried to update both my iphone 4 and 4s both of which was unsuccessful, now all I have on my phones screens are the itunes logo and the usb as if it wants me to attached to itunes! when i do neither of the phones will show up on the itunes screen on my computer ! as if it wont recognise them, went into the apple store in town they want to charge me 5 pounds to sort it which i think is a joke since both phones were fine before this update !

I didnt record the full update number/version.I gave the ok to download and install after reading the warning that it might take up to 7 minutes to complete.It has locked with the red dot "M" logo for 30 minutes.What should I do now? Holding the power button does not turn it off , no buttons get any response. I am about to pull the battery and restart but I fear I might cobble up the update and cause more harm.

I tried that one but it only applies to 3rd party routers, i have airport extreme 4th generation as my base station, and airport express 1st generation as wired extender.
All my other devices are fine, wife's iPhone 3G, both iPad 23G and wifi. Only my iPhone 4s All firmwares are up to date on all appale devices that i have.

This time though, the camera icon does pop up, but when I go to click it the camera icon just "jumps" and will not open the camera option. In the meantime I got a new SIM issued and put it in my old Blackberry for him to use. 4 days later he found the phone. I took it into AT&T to have the SIM changed over and we are unable to get past the screen that says Emergency call only and displays a number pad. The screen saver says in red Iphone is disabled connect to iTunes. I did bring it to my house to try and connect to itunes but when I did that it asks me to put the password of the phone into the phone, which I cannot do as it only will let me make emergency calls...

May 27, 2012I just bought the Iphone 4S. I selected the option to have the screen locked after 5 minutes of non usage, with a code. When the phone goes into locked mode, it does not ring when people call me, instead they get directed instantly to my voice mail.
To avoid this, I've then selected the "never" option on the locking mode, so that the screen never gets locked : the calls do come through & ring, but the downside is that the screen remains lit, never goes dark, consuming batteries really quickly...
