IPhone :: Camera Button Not Working From Locked Screen?

Recently I tried to take a photo from my locked screen. Usually I just double click my home button and the camera pops right up and I can take a picture. This time though, the camera icon does pop up, but when I go to click it the camera icon just "jumps" and will not open the camera option. It's very annoying for when I just want to take a picture, now I have to go through the motion of unlocking my phone and going to the camera. OH, also on the locked screen, the camera icon has two lines, both over and under it.
Ok, so my phone is locked and when I double click on the home button to quickly access the camera button while still being locked it is not working. The icon itself looks differetn and it pulls up the screen so I can slightly see the camera at the very bottom but then bounces back to the home locked screen. What is wrong and how can I fix it. I have a 2 year old and love this feature because it quickly captures the moment.
When I double click the home button the camera button appears. When I push the button the home screen bounces twice but the camera doesn't open. I'm working on an iPhone 4s with updated iOS.
Since I upgraded to 5.1, I encounter the above mentioned problem. On tapping the camera icon on the locked iPhone screen, I can't launch the built-in camera. Nothing happens. (I must unlock the iPhone and tap the camera icon in order to take a picture).
1. I didn't have this problem after upgrading to iOS 5.0
2. I can still access the music buttons on the locked screen on iOS 5.1 though.
have had my iphone for almost 1 and a half years, and about 8 months ago my home button started wrecking; i would press it and it would either not open the iphone (take it off sleep mode to show lock screen) or the button would get stuck in and would start the voice control.. then about one week ago my vibrate button wasnt vibrating, even when i got a call or message or alarm... around one year ago, my camera started wrecking; like i would go into it and it would be blurry, and over the past year it has been getting worse and worse, and now i cant use my back camera at all.
I recently upgraded my iphone 3GS to the IOS 5.1 however i have noticed that now i am unable to use the camera whilst my phone is locked.
I can use the button but the screen kind of jumps up, like when you double click the home button, to reveal the bottom part of the camera, the shutter and camera/video camera slide, but then the locked page comes back down to hide the camera. Also the function button isnt properly formed, i have the camera but instead of being in a box just the top and bottom lines are shown.
When I doube tap the home button to use the camera from the home screen, it sort of 'hops' up about 1/2 a cm, but then bounces back down without opening the camera app, this is only since the upgrade to 5.1. I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!)
My wife & I have iPhone 4S, recently we both set passcode on our iPhones, my phone shows camera short cut on locked screen whereas my wife's does not has camera shortcut. How to bring camera short cut on locked screen.
I don't have quick access to my camera from the lock screen on my new iphone 4s. When double quick on the home button, I have the symbol for the camera but it does not respond when tapping on it. The camera button has two small bars above and two below, every time I tap on it, the lock screen jumps slightly, but no access. From the lock screen i however have access to my music volume. Is the camera access locked?
my out of warranty iPhone 4 power button stopped functioning all of a sudden and it also no longer made that "click" when pressed. What did I do?I decided to open up the phone and tried to do this, (at 4:30 is what I did)[URL]It basically shows a guy who bonded a very very small washer to the bottom of the power button. Temporary solutions:A walk around camera fix is that i installed "camera plus pro" and this allows me to take photos and video. If I switch to the front camera it freezes, again confirming the front camera is not working.What should I do next?So I obviously did something when i took my phone apart and put it back together. i unlocked a 3.1.2 iphone 3G using blacksn0w but theres no camera button on the sms screen so i can send an MMS. i went to settings>messages but theres not even an option to turn on MMS messaging. ive searched through a number of threads but all seem to say something different about what to do. there appears to be a general consensus about downloading a package from cydia but i did a search on cydia, and it turned up many different options/packages.would anyone have any advice? thanks in advance for any help
I need to hide "camera button" on the unlock screen of iphone. It's iphone of my boss and he hate the button(don't know why). I tried to double tap the home button twice on unlock screen but it just start music player. I there any settings option which disables this button to appear?
"Okay Google" not working from locked screen or timed out dark screen. I noticed this befoer the update that it stopped and didn't work after update either.Under Language and Input >Voice Input>Enhanced Google Service>OK Google detection>... I have all 3 options on - 'from google app', 'from any screen', 'Personal results'
The lock screen camera button doesn't work! The camera button appers but it doesnt work!, Also the proximity sensor its not working well (the screem doesnt get black on calls and I accidently mute the call or put it on speaker)
We have the Xperia Ray and it has been working fine for about 6 weeks until the other day when the screen stopped working and we are therefore unable to access the phone. We have tried to repair the software twice and that did not work and obviously we are unable to do the reset as not able to access the phone systems.
it's just a 1 month since I purchased z3, but after an update my camera button not responding. Did a factory reset but still not working. Initially it worked. Now if I click during camera mode, just a flash comes on first click and on second long click it does nothing. Really upset and never expected this from Sony. I hope developers r reading this.
How do I remove the camera icon next to the "slide to unlock" bar on my iPhone 3 locked screen? It's a camera with 2 horizontal lines above and below the icon. I don't know why it started appearing. It didn't use to be there.
The button press to take a picture when the camera is up just boots me out of the camera function rather than take the picture.why this is and how to fix this?
I've restarted the phone, pulled the battery and let it sit for a bit, and the camera button on the outside of the phone is still not working...I can get to the camera option through the screen, but can't take any photos.
Since upgrading to IOS 5.1 when iPhone 4 is locked the camera icon does not open when selected. I have to unlock phone with my passcoded to use the camera. The feature worked with IOS 5.0.
The problem is my camera capture button is not working on my N95 8 gb,so I am unable to take pics or record videos.i took it to the nokia care they say it has a dead risk if they tried to fix it. I can take pics or record videos without using the capture button. I have already updated the firmware.
Strange thing going on:the physical camera button doesn't seem to trigger the camera anymore.I cannot launch the camera app with it and it doesn't do anything when the camera app is running.It was working since I got it and it just stopped working today.I tried soft reset and hard reset to no avail.
Ok. So my lock button stopped working on my iPhone 4 yesterday. It was 'sticky' (not clicking very well) for a few hours now it ceases to even work.
I also have a cracked screen (which occured 3 months ago now) that I tried to get replaced. Unfortunately they weren't happy that day or something and didn't grant me the one time free replacement that they seem to be giving out everywhere else. Anyway, so I decided not to pay the $180 because the crack isn't too big and it doesn't stretch too far onto the actual LCD screen.
So my question is... If I go to the Apple store regarding the lock button, will they deny me a free replacement because the screen is cracked and they will just pin the blame on that? I am still within the one year warranty too.
Also, for future reference, does a cracked screen void the free warranty replacement for any problems encountered, whether it be hardware, software or mechanically related?
