Xperia X10 :: Camera Button Not Working After Update
May 26, 2011The button press to take a picture when the camera is up just boots me out of the camera function rather than take the picture.why this is and how to fix this?

Xperia Z3 :: Camera Button Not Working
Jan 14, 2015it's just a 1 month since I purchased z3, but after an update my camera button not responding. Did a factory reset but still not working. Initially it worked. Now if I click during camera mode, just a flash comes on first click and on second long click it does nothing. Really upset and never expected this from Sony. I hope developers r reading this.

Nov 12, 2014The camera logo at the bottom of the lockscreen has disappear after I update the phone, and I cannot directly launch camera app just long press the dedicated camera button. It's frustrating when u have to unlock the phone just to find the camera in app drawer, any ways to make the button back to the lockscreen???

May 23, 2012have had my iphone for almost 1 and a half years, and about 8 months ago my home button started wrecking; i would press it and it would either not open the iphone (take it off sleep mode to show lock screen) or the button would get stuck in and would start the voice control.. then about one week ago my vibrate button wasnt vibrating, even when i got a call or message or alarm... around one year ago, my camera started wrecking; like i would go into it and it would be blurry, and over the past year it has been getting worse and worse, and now i cant use my back camera at all.

Xperia X10 :: Camera Not Working After 2.3 Gingerbread Update?
Aug 3, 2011I recently got my x10i from a friend who had never updated it from the original 1.6 android version that it came with, so i have updated to the recent gingerbread update. The problem is that since the update, the buil in camera app will open, but as soon as i press the shutter button (or use the touch function) to take a picture it hangs and won't do anything until i exit. All the while it is hanging it is actively displaying whatever i point it at, but it won't take a picture. The annoying thing is that other camera apps such as camera360 work fine and will take photos, but i want to be able to use the face recognition and video functionality of the built in app.

Feb 14, 2011After updating the x10mp to 2.1, I have lost the ability to use the camera to take pictures. The camera does work for recording videos, saves them too. What happens is that when I take a picture, the camera makes the shutter sound, and then just goes to a blank dark screen. The phone is still on and can go back to the menus. I have tried different sd card, multiple updates, factory resets so far.

May 16, 2015A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.

Mar 12, 2012Ok, so my phone is locked and when I double click on the home button to quickly access the camera button while still being locked it is not working. The icon itself looks differetn and it pulls up the screen so I can slightly see the camera at the very bottom but then bounces back to the home locked screen. What is wrong and how can I fix it. I have a 2 year old and love this feature because it quickly captures the moment.

Mar 30, 2012Recently I tried to take a photo from my locked screen. Usually I just double click my home button and the camera pops right up and I can take a picture. This time though, the camera icon does pop up, but when I go to click it the camera icon just "jumps" and will not open the camera option. It's very annoying for when I just want to take a picture, now I have to go through the motion of unlocking my phone and going to the camera. OH, also on the locked screen, the camera icon has two lines, both over and under it.

Apr 23, 2012my out of warranty iPhone 4 power button stopped functioning all of a sudden and it also no longer made that "click" when pressed. I tried this and it didn't work, probably because my washer was a was too big, i filed it down a bit, still didn't work, so I just put it back together, i noticed a few things:After Reassembly, this happened: power button still does not work, and doesn't "click"iPhone camera app shutter does not open and the bottom right "camera/video" icons just flicker, I've concluded this is because of the front camera not working.the ear speaker for phone calls is now "crackly".I noticed my WiFi and network signal isn't as strong, maybe a bar less on WiFi and a bar or 2 less on network.
Temporary solutions:A walk around camera fix is that i installed "camera plus pro" and this allows me to take photos and video. If I switch to the front camera it freezes, again confirming the front camera is not working.What should I do next?So I obviously did something when i took my phone apart and put it back together. Previously, If i were to click the lock button at the top left, the phone would lock and would display my user information which I created. The top right button (mute key) would thus put the phone into standby mode. Now, when I click the top left (lock) button, the phone goes into standby, and when I click the top right (mute) button, nothing happens. I loved having my user information displayed when the phone was not in use. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can get around it? I tried turning on the password (which I do not like using) and turning it off again as well as doing a battery pull.
