i just bought sony xperia x10.however after a few days im using it, camera button on side of the panel is not functioning to activate the camera.it also cannot capture any picture and video.it just can autofocus.

Now if I try to open the camera I just get the message "unfortunately, camera has stopped". That is in the native camera app. Using google camera, I get a clack screen. Using instagram, the same.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
The "smiley face" shortcut button on the Samsung keyboard no longer switches to the list of emojis. I've tried restarting phone, but problem is still there. I can long-press the microphone key to get to list though, but that's it.

I attempted to update my iPhone 4s to iOS 7.1.2 but it decided to freeze at about 25%. My sleep wake button is not working so I can't even reboot my iphone as per the online forum advice. Â
The thing is I'm now overseas in Rome and I have been trying to look for apple store around - they are inaccessible from my current schedule. I have got photos I have taken today in rome and also I will need my iphone for the rest of my trip. Â
I have now unplugged the phone from the main to allow the battery to drain (or is this the right thing to do?) - will the phone reboot to normal after this?
I'm having issues with the camera function on the M8 in certain apps. For example, I cannot use the mobile apps for either my banks to deposit mobile checks because the camera will not focus on the check images and the pictures are too blurry to be accepted. I also have similar issues when using a couple of different shopping rebate apps (where you have to take pictures of bar codes and/or receipts).

I can open camera app by holding button but can't take any picture in auto mode. Button works in 4K video, Timeshift video, AR effects, Timeshift burst mode. So basically the camera button does not take the picture but it does focus. Also camera does not open when you press the button.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife's x10 mini is having issue with it's camera button or icon. Whenever the camera icon is tapped or camera button is pressed, it will turn off the phone. After the manually turning On the phone again, it will work again including the camera icon or button. But, after a while, it will be like that again, especially when the camera is not used for a while. The phone have been updated with latest software using SE PC Companion. I even tried to use repair to update it again. Same problem.

The camera logo at the bottom of the lockscreen has disappear after I update the phone, and I cannot directly launch camera app just long press the dedicated camera button. It's frustrating when u have to unlock the phone just to find the camera in app drawer, any ways to make the button back to the lockscreen???

I have a new X10 mini pro and I updated to Android 2.1.
Camera worked for a while without problems, but recently I moved the camera icon in one of the corners.
After that, the camera button (after the focusing position, when pressed till the end) just turns the main menu on without taking the picture. However, camera works sometimes without problems (one in five attempts). I reinstalled the software using SEUS, but the problems still persists.
Just updated my phone to 5.1, when pressing the shutter button for quick way to take pictures, it now takes 30seconds for camera to come on screen then flickers and won't take a picture. Is there anyway I can reverse this upgrade as it has not improved anything on my phone, it is still very hard to hear when ringing or playing music and now I can't take pictures correctly.
