IPhone :: SIM Card Not Compatible / Locked In ITunes
Feb 28, 2010
My phone seems to be locked, with the itunes logo and image of a usb cord with an arrow pointing toward the icon. The only thing it will do is slide open to make an emergency call. There is a little lock symbol at the top. I connected to my mac to upload photos, and it wanted to upgrade softwear, so I clicked ok. Now in my Itunes screen, it says that the sim card is not supported and that i need a compatible sim card. I have been using this phone for a year with no problems. Did Apple find a way to lock any phones that are synced thru Itunes, that are not using AT&T?
"itunes cou;ld not back up the iphone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iphone.Delete the back up for this iphone, then try again" when i try and delete the backup using edit>preferences>devices there is no backup.
Can anyone tell me if the n96 can be connected to itunes. I have an ipod and have downloaded music from itunes for this but was just wondering if that music could also be transferred to my n96 or is it drm protected.I dont pretend to know everything like some people on these boards i am just trying to help.
I am using my brother's old iphone 3G, he said to restore and not to update the phone when I connected to my itunes. I updated then restored but now it appears to be wiped and the message on screen says could not activate phone??
I'm locked out of my iPhone 4 but when I try to connect it to iTunes to unlock and restore it, iTunes is requiring me to enter my passcode on my phone, which the phone won't let me do because I'm locked out.
The phone was given to me secondhand by a friend. It has no sevice since I cannot use it with my carrier, and I use it kind of like an iPod touch. How can I get the PUK code?
I recently had a repair done to my iphone. Afterword, I was told that I had to restore the os. I downloaded and installed the latest version (3.1.3) through itunes.
When it attempted to activate the phone I got an error message saying the phone either had no sim or the sim was locked and instructing me to disconnect the phone and unlock the sim.
My sim does have a pin, but the phone itself won't allow me to unlock it. It says 'restore needed' and directs me to itunes.
It seems like a catch 22 - can't activate without unlocking the pin, can't unlock the pin without activating. As it is, I can't use the phone at all.
ITunes could not command to the iphone because it is locked with a password. You must enter your password on the iphone before it can be used with ITunes.
Info: iPhone 3G, itunes could not command to the iph
I have an iPhone 3GS, and it was misplaced for quite some time. And now that I have it back, no one remembers the passcode. I didn't realize that trying a different passcode every time it allowed me to would disable it completely. So now it says "iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes." I have no problem restoring it and it deleting all of my apps, I can get those back. I have an issue with it deleting my contacts and photos. The problem is, I was never able to back it up, beacause my computer wouldn't recognize the phone when I plugged it in. We just got a new computer and now it'll recognize it. Is there any way to save the photos and contacts and still get into the phone?
I have tried to do a restore but continue to get the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter you passcode..." On the phone, "iPhone disabled. connect to iTunes" ...but connecting to iTunes does not work.
My 4S is locked and indicates that I need to connect to iTunes. When i connect to my computer the device will not sync because it wants the password. How do I connect to verify that it is my phone?
After I upgrade my iPhone to iOS 4.2 I can not activate iPhone. It is written " The simcard inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.Only compatible simcards from supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the simcard that came with your iPhone or visit a suppported carrier's store to receive a replacement simcard". Before upgrade I can use the simcard.
I brought my wife an IPhone 4S yesterday and checked with the sales guy in 02 that I can run two accounts off the same laptop as I have an IPhone as well, which he said would be fine.
However the new IPhone required an updated version, which I downloaded and then the new IPhone locked up with the ITunes Logo and the USB Cable showing. Have tried restoring but it keeps saying it needs to download the newest version iOS 5.1.1 which takes over an hour to download, but I already have the newest version dowloaded.
I am considering stepping up to Kingston SDC10/16GB-2ADP, a class 10 card. The questions are: 1) is it compatible 2) would I get any performance gain compared to Transcend TS16GUSDHC6-P3? As far as I'm concerned, SDHC cards with speed classes 2 to 6 are SD version 2.0, whereas class 10 cards as well as new SDXC ones are SD version 3.0, hence potential compatibility issues.
My xoom is wifi only, running 3.2. I have a 16g sd card installed, the xoom reads the card and shows 14.83g free. The problem I'm having is that I can't move any app that is sd compatible to it. I downloaded an app sd watch showed up, I hit it and the move to sd card wasn't lit. No app will move to the sd card.
The above message is what I get when i try to back up my iPhone 4s to my PC. I tried deleting the backup through Edit > Preferences and so on, but I still get the same message! How can I get rid of this message and backup my iPhone?
I have updated my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1 and I can't restore my backup files because when I try to restore my backup iTunes shows that the backup is corrupted or not compatible with the iPhone
